Expand Your Destiny
Sing a new song
Isaiah 54:1 - "Sing, O barren, You who have not borne! Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, You who have not labored with child! For more are the children of the desolate Than the children of the married woman," says the LORD.
There are so many Christians today who are discouraged and despondent because they feel they are barren and producing nothing in their lives.
They seemingly experience the same cycles of failures and struggles.
Prophetically, this is the time to start singing, because things are about to change for those who have been faithful and expecting a breakthrough. God is about to expand those who have exercised their faith and have refused to give up.
Others may have declared that you are desolate and in lack, but God says He is going to expand you so that you can produce and become prosperous. This is time to sing a new song to the Lord.
A season of supernatural blessings
Isaiah 54:2-4 - "Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, And your descendants will inherit the nations, And make the desolate cities inhabited. "Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; For you will forget the shame of your youth, And will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore.
We are living in the time of supernatural favor and finances that is what God is releasing upon people of faith.
God says the wealth of the unrighteous is laid upon for the righteous and God is going to expand His children supernaturally.
When God expands you and begins to bless you, He does not bless you with small things. He is going to take your seed, labor, and faith and He is going to expand you to the ends of the earth that will extend even to your descendants. They will inherit those things that God is going to expand in your life.
God is going to set in order the things of the past. There have been struggles, shame, and disappointments in your life. You do not have to compare yourself to others anymore because God is going to make you faithful in much. You will preside over bigger things.
Perhaps you have been a leader over a few people. God is going to increase your responsibilities and make you a leader over many.
You have lived by faith and now God is going to expand your faith because you need faith for bigger things. So keep on thinking big! Do not limit God.
But remember, God is only going to expand those things that are spiritual. Sadly, God’s people have been so busy with secular things and things of this world. God wants to bless you in the secular world but when your efforts are focused on secular things at the expense of faith in God, there will be nothing for Him to expand. However, those things that have been committed to Him will be blessed beyond your wildest imagination.
Some of the things that we have accumulated have come about by working hard for the devil’s kingdom. However, God will expand those things that have been built in the Spirit and He will manifest them in the natural.
I am not degrading what you have accumulated but if it has not been built in the environment of the Spirit, it is not worth much. This is a call to spiritual service. Today is the day for you to start speaking things out in the Spirit realm because God wants to bless you. He is looking for ways to bless you.
Position yourself for expansion
Here are a few things that God wants us to establish so that we can be positioned for supernatural blessings.
1. Spiritual base
You need to have a spiritual base if you want God to bless you. You need to start somewhere and be somewhere for God to expand you. You need to have a base where you can grow.
So many Christians today build in a place but when better opportunities present themselves, they leave what they have built and start something else. They build up a measure of success for a time but then move on. When they are confronted with obstacles, they do not have a strong base from which to fight.
Be someone who builds continuously and God will expand that base into something bigger and more powerful. God can only bless what we have built. Do not break the foundations that you have built, because God is going to build on those foundations.
It is so important to have a home base and that you have a local church that you are accountable to. When we run from church to church, nothing is being built and therefore there is nothing that God can bless or expand.
As a Senior Pastor, I have observed how Christians come to church and begin to settle. The children grow in the Sunday school and the older children build relationships with the youth. At some time or another, an offence may come and the parents will uproot the entire family and stunt their spiritual growth.
I was in the same Full Gospel Church from birth until the age of 24. My parents could have used many excuses to leave the church and join another church. I am so grateful that they did not. I asked my dad one day why he never considered changing churches. He told me that his biggest fear was that his children would backslide and be lost forever.
You are never going to find a better church because all churches have the same problems. Find a Word-based, Spirit-filled church and serve that church. God will expand your faithfulness and in time He will show you what He has built for you in the Spirit and you will be surprised. Those that trust in the Lord will never be ashamed. Remember, God cannot expand anything that has no roots.
2. Connect with the anointing
You need to connect with the anointing. In other words, when you connect with people, their success becomes your success. When you connect with the anointing, you connect with God.
God took 120 faithful people on the Day of Pentecost and expanded the anointing on their lives. What started in Jerusalem was expanded to the ends of the earth.
Acts 1:8 - But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
The anointing on your life is not only a local anointing, but it is for the ends of the earth. Make sure you associate with people who are anointed so that their success can rub off onto your life.
3. Cooperate with the process
There is a process that God has for you to fulfill your purpose, but you need to cooperate with God because He has placed a seed of success inside of you. It is a seed of greatness that can only grow if you cooperate with the Holy Spirit and sometimes that process can be painful.
So many people give up because of this and choose the easy way out. They want to be blessed but do not want to endure the painful process to maturity.
Remember, the Holy Spirit is your Helper and He will help you through your journey of growth.
God will not do everything on His own. He will only do the things that you cannot do. God will do the impossible but He wants you to do the possible. The first thing that you can do is to make yourself available and then allow God to expand that which you have made available. God cannot bless nothing.
Fall in love with your life’s purpose and your destiny. When you discover who you are in God, you will not have to be pushed to go to work, or to do those things that need to be done.
4. Build in the Spirit
Galatians 5:16-18 - I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
When you make a decision for God, there is going to be a battle between the Spirit and the flesh. The Spirit and the flesh are opposed to each other. For example, the flesh does not see what the Sprit sees. Many times we react by what we see in the flesh but the flesh is at war with the Spirit which sees something different.
If you want to be ready for God to expand you, see what the Spirit sees and be blind to what you see in the natural. What you see in the natural can declare that you are doomed. In the spiritual realm you are different because you are not building in the natural realm, but in the spiritual realm which has so much more potential for blessings.
When you pray, do not pray only in the natural, but pray with the Spirit.
When you pray in tongues, you build things in the unseen realm which in time, manifests in the natural as a supernatural blessing from the Lord. The Bible calls these blessings mysteries. They are unknown, but they are good and helpful.
When you are led by the Spirit of God, you are not under the law. That means there are no physical limitations that keep you within physical boundaries. The law refers to physical limitations, but when you are led by the Spirit, physical laws do not apply to you. That is why it was possible for Phillip to be transported in the Spirit. He overcame the physical limitations of travel.
You become limitless when you close your eyes to the natural and live in the environment of the Spirit. This is the start of God expanding and blessing you. The potential within you is that which God will expand and you will have a spiritual influence across the world.
It does not matter what failures you have had in the past, what type of education that you have had, or what other physical limitations you have experienced.
God can make you successful and God can do supernatural things through you which are beyond that which you can ever imagine.
Do not limit God’s potential in your life. Now is the time to break out in a song to the Lord.
