I All men come from one blood.
A A few years ago a study found that there is a common thread in every single human (black, white, red, yellow, His)
1 Conclusion, all of us came from one mother.
a Could have saved the government $5 billion & sent them a $25 Bible & had them read Gen. 1 - 3
b We divide ourselves by groups.
aa Ethnicity - Black, white, Hispanic, Asian
bb Economic - Rick Poor
cc Denominations - Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran
2 Why can’t we get it together?
B The rise of the brotherhood of blood.
1 This will help you understand what the church is supposed to be (were not there yet)
a Several years ago the FBI had a watch list of people who they saw as potential terrorist / threats to the government.
aa Somebody noticed no preachers!
bb 1973: Rex Humbard, Oral Roberts, Jimmy Swaggert
cc The government believed in 1973 that these men carried enough authority / influence over people that if they came up to an issure (Abortion, gay-marriage) they could effect the voting.
b The question was asked why no well known pastors / preachers (End Times, Stand with Israel, New World Order) were on the list.
aa Answer: Government said churches get to 2K and split.
bb The Christian church is no longer a threat.
cc And no Christian leader that can get 60K together in a stand / jam because they can’t even get along in their own denomination (The government is no longer threatened by the Christian church)
c I wonder what would happen if black churches, white churches, Asian churches, Hispanic churches got together & said with one voice, “We won’t vote for any candidate that is pro-abortion... pro-gay marriage. You will never get our vote.”
aa If we could just get together on these two things!
bb There needs to be a raising up of the Brotherhood of Blood.
2 It’s not just men from one blood!
a When God laid Adam down and took out his rib, he awoke with a new bride.
b When the Roman soldier stuck Jesus under the rib, Jesus woke up with a new bride / church.
aa Bride was birthed at Pentecost & will one day be raptured to the Marriage supper of the Lamb... but we’re not there yet.
bb Time we understand its not a Baptist church, Methodist church, Catholic church, Pentecostal church, etc... It’s one Brotherhood of Blood!
c It’s the red blood of Jesus that makes a black, white, yellow, red, brown, man clean.
d The reason we don’t get it is because we don’t understand covenant. (Born again, Salvation, Saved)
C When we get saved we enter into a covenant with God.
1 A covenant is like a marriage, Everything God has now belongs to you & everything you have now belongs to God.
a When the Holy Spirit tells you to give it’s not really yours... it’s His.
aa When you do, God released His blessing according to His riches in glory.
bb Getting the blessing from Glory to here is all about covenant.
b 1871, Stanley went to Africa to look for missionary Dr. Livingston
aa You’re going to have to cut covenant
bb Stanley’s arm was cut 50 times by tribal leaders. (To go further he’d have to be cut)
cc Murombo controlled 90 thousand sq. miles (Get his favor, go anywhere without trouble)
dd When covenant was made, gifts are exchanged (Like marriage rings)
ee Stanley had a goat (Ulcers & goat milk helped) Murombo wanted his goat. No. (Give him goat or he’ll take your head)
ff Stanley got a stick with copper wrapped around it with a funky engraving on the top of it. Chieftains Staff, not just a stick
gg Chieftains Staff! (Where ever he went people would bow until he found Livingston all because of the power of Brotherhood of Blood.
D There are 4 secular groups that understand Brotherhood.
1 Arab Honor (Not condone all of it: honor killings)
a The highest thing in Arab world is to honor the leader / senior member of the tribe. (In family it’s the father / grandfather)
aa Never do anything to dishonor the chief or leader
bb (IL)
b When Bush I was in office (Gulf War) Six Arab Americans were trained to assassinate Saddam Hussain.
aa In Iraq close to Hussain, weapons under their garb & just days away from completing their mission
bb Bush gets a call from the King of Saudi Arabia & says you can’t kill him. Why? (Hussain was evil, 5,000 Murders, cut peoples’s arms, head, legs off) because he’s Arab decent.
cc You can’t dishonor him like that. (The six men were tortured / killed & family was told they died in battle)
c Mubarak removed in Egypt (Muslim Brotherhood are not friendly, fanatics: playing nice until they get their money & then they’ll do their own thing)
aa Our President got on TV & said he wanted Mubarak to “step down”
bb Call from King of Saudi Arabia, How could you humiliate one of my best friends on world wide television.
cc Ever since then Saudi Arabia has been talking to Russia / China drilling oil & cutting America out.
d We don’t understand honor in America.
aa We mouth off, say whatever about our leaders & pastors... We don’t understand honor.
bb We will never understand until we understand blood... blood line... blood ties.
2 The Mafia
a The Atlanta Journal Constitution ran a story how a federal agent had infiltrated the Mafia. (Rose in rank)
aa Blessing & Curse: Prick the finger & made blood covenant
bb You’ll have women, money, cars... but you must protect the Brotherhood, Bosses.
cc Then take the Ace of Spades & burn the card until it reaches the bloody finger. (Put a curse on you while it’s burning: If you ever Narc on leadership may you develop terminal throat cancer before you can stand witness in trial)
dd The articles said their hoping the agent makes it to trial because he’s dying of terminal throat cancer.
b The Mafia understand the power of the Brotherhood. (Sometimes there’s a time to keep your mouth shut.)
aa Bible back me up! "I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me; John 14:30
bb He knew if He revealed the whole plan of Calvary the devil wouldn’t have had Him crucified.
cc He knew there was a time to speak up (Go to Jerusalem, suffer the cross, Rise again 3 days alter... but nothing about the whipping posts... By His wounds we are healed!)
c I’ve got to seal this blood covenant with silence.
3 Gangs
a Gangs are growing because there are a lack of fathers in our society.
b Interviewed gang members in jail in L.A. Oakland, Watts, Two common reasons to why they joined.
aa Friends
bb I have protection
c There are 7 basic needs every human has (Secure finances, food, relationships, etc...) One is the need for protection
aa Police, Fire Department, alarm on car, homeland security, military, FBI
bb All of us must feel safe, secure, protected
cc People join gangs to feel protected
d If me and Scott are in a gang & someone hits Scott they must deal with the whole gang.
aa If someone from a rival gang kill Scott, it’s the gangs responsibilty to retaliate and kill who killed him and their entire family.
bb Protection birthed out of relationship
e Church, we are in a Brotherhood of Blood & I’m suppose to cover your back
aa Instead we’ll let people from the family (church, denomination) talk / gossip about so and so
bb Did you hear what so and so does, or what that church did?
cc We’re not covering each other.
f Noah got off the ark after 150 fays, surrounded by animals & got drunker than Cotter Brown.
aa Ham went into Noah’s tent & went and told Shem & Japheth about what he saw
bb How can you speak about a father that way? (Snuck in, put a robe over him / covered his nakedness) Until he awoke from his shame / situation
g We are losing too many preachers / churches: If the pastor has a problem he has absolutely no one to talk to
aa If he does, 5 minutes later it’s emailed, texted, posted, spread around.
bb When will we understand their needs to be some protection in the Brotherhood of Blood.
cc You got a problem? Prayer? Dry? Struggling? Come to me, but I’m not letting anybody mess with you! Not letting the devil take you out of the saddle.
4 Masons
a Flat tire make a certain distress signal & a mason will stop to help you.
aa Die & your wife needs some help, the Brotherhood is obligated to help her.
bb Go into a bank with a Mason & he knocks his ring a certain way / shakes hands a certain way he’s suppose to get you a loan
b This is why many in the business world join organizations like the Masons... Brotherhood
c (IL) A man who the church prayed for, loved, went out of their way to minister to finally got saved & church rejoiced. About a month later he asked the Pastor, “Where did all that love go?”
aa We do all kinds of stuff, dramas, pizza parties, concerts, outreach, give-aways to get them in / saved ... then where’s all that love?
bb Fishing & catching fish & throw it in the bottom of the boat until we get around to smoking it.
d Churches would be filled if we understood & acted like a real family
E The Bible talks about the family of God in heaven & how the family of God are suppose to be one in Him.
1 Your Family
a Your baby doesn’t got on your nerves as much as it does everybody else.
aa Screams in a restaurant, Sweet! Future singer in the choir! Everybody else is trying to enjoy a meal without crying babies
bb Diaper doesn’t smell as bad to you as it does everybody else.
b 6 Things that make us family
1 Adopted into the same family.
aa 15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!"Romans 8:15
bb 5 so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.Gal 4:5 (NASB)
cc 5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, Eph 1:5 (NASB)
2 Same Father
aa 6 one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. Eph 4:6 (NASB)
3 Headed to the same city, Mt. Zion, Mountain of God (Your going to have to live with Charismatics, Lutherans, Methodists for all of eternity)
aa 22 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels ,23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, Heb 12:22-23
4 We have our names in the same city registry called the Lambs Book of Life (In Roman times there was a city registry & to attend certain events your name had to be in there: Lamb’s book gives you entry to heaven.
5 We have all received inheritance in the same way
6 We have all entered the family through the same blood
aa 2 To Timothy, my true child in the faith: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.1 Tim 1:2 (NASB) ; 1 Do not sharply rebuke an older man, but rather appeal to him as a father, to the younger men as brothers,2 the older women as mothers, and the younger women as sisters, in all purity. 1 Tim 5:1-2 (NASB)
2 In some Youth Groups the students are calling leader leaders Papa this / that, and Mama this / that
a 15 For if you were to have countless tutors in Christ, yet you would not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel. 1 Cor 4:15 (NASB)
b There aren’t enough fathers / mothers to instruct, bless, fellowship, correct... this generation is missing fathers and mothers.
aa 5 "Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the Lord.6 "He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse ." Mal 4:5-6 (NASB) Elijah
bb 55-60-70, you think your done, raised your kids. You’ve got a whole new bunch of kids coming up!
cc Cook for them, drive them, correct them, lets go hang out, prayer!
dd God s going to raise up a family of God’s children in these last days
c That’s why we call each other brother & sister
aa I’m closer to some brothers / sisters in Christ than my own family.
bb Brotherhood of Blood
3 When a soldier in Alexander the Great’s army did an act of valor that saved lives of the other soldiers he would bring from before the other soldiers & say “I’m honored to call this man my brother.”
a Willing to lay down his life for the other person
b Nobody understand brotherhood in America like the Marines, Army
aa The Marines will not leave a man behind
bb If a Marine gets shot in the street, another Marine will go out and pull him to safety.
c If he were in church & got wounded...
aa I told him if he went there he’d get shot, he deserves what he got... I’m not going out there to get him.
bb He should have trained better, like he’s supposed to... he brought that on himself.
cc He made his own bed, let him lie in it!
dd He’s the one who went there, He got shot, let him deal with it.
ee When our people get shot we leave them to die instead of pouring wine / oil over them to nurse / heal them, As a testimony the Lord can restore the,
d Marines will say “Cover me.” They’ll crawl over, scoop him up, get him medical attention because it’s a Brotherhood of Blood.
aa We’d lose less preachers, few church splits over confusion if we understood we’re suppose to be a family. (Brothers, sisters, blood... blood is thicker than water.)
4 Two brothers messed the whole thing up (Cain & Abel)
a Abel brought blood (PIC)
aa Cain killed his brother over an offering
bb I stir the hornets nest every time I talk about tithes & offerings
b Jealousy got into Cain’s heart because Abel’s offering was favored over his.
aa I’ve been going here longer, saved longer, spirit-filled longer, how come I’m not getting the attention of all these new comers or the students, this one or that one, testimonies.
bb Cain kills his brother! We don’t shoot, stab our brothers / sisters, we use our tongues & we’re come in behind the scenes.
c God asks Cain, “Where’s your brother?”
aa Am I my brother’s keeper? “Keeper” in Hebrew means guardian.
bb Guardian means to save, protect, stand guard, protect the life of
cc Am I my brothers protector? Guard? YES!
d We have to start guarding, protecting, lifting up each other & stop being jealous of each other’s blessings.
II David & Jonathan
A David was probably a teenager when he had first met Jonathan
1 David had been the shepherd boy anointed King, slow the giant Goliath & Jonathan just thought the world of David.
a They became in covenant because David marries Jonathan’s sister (Saul’s Daughter)
aa In-laws recreated by covenant
bb Jonathan knew his dad didn’t like David & was going to try to kill him & Jonathan says to David “I want to make a covenant with you deeper than the one we have just because you married my sister.”
b 3 Then Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself.4 Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was on him and gave it to David, with his armor, including his sword and his bow and his belt. 1 Sam 18:3-4 (NASB) (They exchanged weapons, garments, belts)
aa Wherever you go, my heart goes with you: Wherever I go your heart goes with me.
bb If either one of us dies in battle, the other will care for our kids (belt / loin covering / seed : Mephibosheth)
cc War, I’ll have your back (I’ll make sure my dad doesn’t touch you) & you make sure you have my back
c 1 Now it came about when he had finished speaking to Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as himself. 1 Sam 18:1 (NASB) This is the verse that gay churches use to say David / Jonathan had a homosexual relationship (knit together) LIE!
aa The Hebraic concept: What is the thing a loving man who loves his wife is willing to do?
bb If your wife’s in danger you are willing to cover her, protect her, take the bullet, so she could live.
cc Any man in a covenant with his wife would lay down / give up his life for hers
d They loved each other to the point of being willing to die for each other. (What greater love...)
2 The church has been hindered because we’ve compartmentalized the family by denomination.
a The Pentecostals speak in tongues, but the Baptist don’t, if you want to speak in tongues you must come our way.
aa Baptist believe in once saved / always saved, these guys don’t... come our way.
bb Charismatics band / drums / clapping, we prefer a choir.
cc So we produce after our own kind. (Member who act Baptist / Pentecostal / Catholic)
dd We’ve divided the family up by denominations because we have original doctrines / no full teaching
b The Anabaptist believers baptism, Luther justification by faith, wesley brothers sanctification, Pentecostal spirit-filled, Charismatics worship.
aa That’s not our daddy so we distance
bb We gather our lights under the Baptist bushel, Methodist bushel & we’ll never listen to another preacher & maybe get something your missing.
c Why is it in this day & time when Masons, Arabs, Mafia, Marines have a brotherhood... Why doesn’t the church understand we are one people, one voice, one blood?
aa We must learn from each other!
bb The body of Christ in all its diversity has Baptist feet, Charismatic hands, Catholic / Lutheran ears, Tongues of Pentecost... And all eyes on Jesus.
Conclusion
1 Learn from other Christians who aren’t exactly like you. (We’ve all got bits & pieces)
2 We must stop throwing away wounded people.
a We wouldn’t kick out a pregnant daughter / addicted son.
b We wouldn’t cut off our own family, why do we do it in church?
aa We’re going to be together forever! Same book / same city.
bb How do we do it?
3 Love! (Only happens when we start having fellowship & relationship)
a To love someone you must get to know someone
b Love each other unconditionally
aa That doesn’t mean we have to agree one everything... but we don’t stop loving each other.
bb Pam & I don’t always agree but we don’t stop loving each other / stay in covenant.
cc I’m not going to live here!
