It is proper for us to start by looking at the principle of redemption. Redemption properly means ransom by means of a price.

Where specific price is paid redemption also refers to deliverance from danger, oppression and captivity.
Zimbabwe:
For Zimbabwe to become an independent sovereign nation. Blood was shed and the oppressor suffered the loss of peace and dear sons and this was the price that secured our freedom from Apartheid.
