Strength for the weak, shoes for the walk.
Isaiah 40:28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
A young strong man at the construction site was bragging that he could outdo anyone in a feat of strength. He kept making fun of one of the older workers. After several minutes, the older worker had had enough.
"Why don't you put your money where your mouth is," he said. "I will bet a week's wages that I can haul something in a wheelbarrow over to that outbuilding that you won't be able to wheel back." "You're on, old man," the braggart replied. "Let's see what you got."
The old man reached out and grabbed the wheelbarrow by the handles. Then, nodding to the young man, he said, "all right, get in." There is strength of body and strength of mind. And strength of spirit.
There are 3 degrees of growth in a Christian life in Isaiah chapter 40. The first one is the young Christian shall mount up as an eagle. The second is the adult Christian shall run. And the third is the mature Christian shall walk.
God will furnish you strength whatever your condition is. If you need strength to walk, He will give it to you. If you need strength to fly, He has that also.
Maybe through this world of heartbreak, trials and trouble you are weak and growing weary. Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary?
God says...don't you know? Haven't you heard that the Lord does not grow tired or weary and gives strength to those that ask and need it?
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. To those Christians that seem to never grow in their faith....yes He gives them strength to withstand those hard times through life.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength.
Our youth sometimes seem to grow weary and bored with religion and some fall on their face until later in life. But, kids...get up!
That was the biggest mistake I ever made in my entire life. I walked away from my fellowship with my Lord...I lost my strength of faith not my salvation and I utterly fell. I couldn't see in my youth that God should have been the center of my life but, I fell, I followed the world. But, He was right there waiting on me....He meet me with arms open wide just like the prodigal son. I was in the pig pen of life but, my Lord gave me strength to rise above it all!
He covered me with a robe of righteous..He put a ring on my finger that represented that I belonged to Him..put shoes on my feet. Why shoes? Because I'm walking with my Lord in fellowship again..Oh, I might get blisters and my feet might hurt during the walk but, this is the shoes my Father gave me! Besides, we are walking together to His house..our home.
