400 years after the building of the first Tabernacle (1462 BC).
A 1,000 Years before Christ was born (1016 BC).
I Chronicles16:1-2; “1-So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God. 2-And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.”
II Samuel 6:13-15, 17; “13-And it was [so], that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings. 14-And David danced before the LORD with all [his] might; and David [was] girded with a linen ephod. 15-So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet. 17-And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.” -KJV
David set “the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant.”
I Chronicles 16:7-22; “7-Then on that day David delivered first [this psalm] to thank the LORD into the hand of Asaph and his brethren. 8-Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. 9-Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works… 22-[Saying], Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.” -KJV

Psalm 95:1-3; “1-O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. 2-Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. 3-For the LORD [is] a great God, and a great King above all gods.” –KJV
Psalm 141:2; “2-Let my prayer be set forth before thee [as] incense; [and] the lifting up of my hands [as] the evening sacrifice.” –KJV
To understand the Tabernacle of David, you have to understand the Herod’s Temple:
Herod’s Temple had a public outer area called the Court of the Gentiles;
An outer court called the Court of the Women; and an inner court made up of the Court of Men and the Court of Priest.
Thus: Gentiles, Women, Children, Men and Priest could enter the Court of the Gentiles.
And, Children, Men and Priest could enter the Court of the Women.
And Men and Priest could enter the Court of the Men.
And only Priest could enter the Court of the Priest.
People were divided, separated, not treated as equals.
However, the Apostle Paul says in Ephesians 2:11-16; “11- Wherefore remember, that ye [being] in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12- That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13- But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14- For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition [between us]; 15- Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, [even] the law of commandments [contained] in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, [so] making peace; 16-And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:” –KJV
Galatians 3:26-29; “26- For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27- For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28- There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29- And if ye [be] Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.” –KJV
The Temple brought separation and division amongst the people.
However the Tabernacle of David did just the opposite.
It brought all the people together to worship before the tent door.
God desired the Tabernacle of David over the Temple:
Amos 9:11-13 “11- In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: 12- That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this. 13- Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.” -KJV
The Plowman will overtake the reaper,
And the Tread’er will overtake the sow’er.
Sounds like a time when God will give the former and latter rain together!
James in the Year AD 50 tells us in Acts 15:13-17 when the rebuilding of the Tabernacle of David occurred:
“13- And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men [and] brethren, hearken unto me: 14- Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. 15- And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, 16- After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: 17- That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.” –KJV
At the Tower of Babble some 2,200 years earlier God used Languages (tongues) to separate mankind.
On the Day of Pentecost in the Year AD 29 God used tongues to bring Jews together. –Acts chapter 2.
And in the Year AD 35 the Holy Ghost evidenced by tongues came to the Samaritans. –Acts chapter 8.
Then in the Year AD 41 the Holy Ghost evidenced by tongues came to the Gentiles. –Acts chapter 10.
So here we are today in the Year 2012 AD, what “middle wall of partition” stands in your way of dancing in the door?
