In the book of Genesis, starting at Genesis 2 and 22, we become witnesses of an awesome event, which shape the destiny of relationship.
Read along with me: “And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.”- Genesis 2:22
God had to take a part of the man to be able to mold and make his partner for him. God will use you, or better still, a particular area about you to change the other person.
How?
Through your transformation or process of change, God will use that to change and mold your partner to be as you want.
Remember, God will change the other person but before that, He will want you to change first!
The more you change, the more the Holy Spirit will base on that to convict the other person to change.
At the moment of your partner’s worst behavior, just be the wife or husband God wants you to be (and of course, keep praying). It is only when you are in line with God’s word that the Holy Spirit can take it on the other partner and convicts him/her severely! Believe you me, that severe conviction will transform even the most rebellious and worst partner!
Become the change you want to see in your partner. Sets the atmosphere to releases divine power and favor for what you want to see.
Proverbs 18:24a says “A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly:”
Sound practical--right?
If he/she is not romantic, be romantic first.
If he/she is not conversational, start doing the talking.
If he/she treats you like trash, treat them like treasure. Be the rib of change.
If he/she abuses you emotionally, be submissive and humble yourself the more.
At that moment, if he/she disrespects you, don’t stop showing him/she will love. Pour out more love.
In fact, at that moment pour something more equally as valuable as love, your heart. Say more loving words and do more loving actions towards the other.
At that moment, if you have not cooked a whole meal for him/her before, do that too. If you massage him/her once a week, do it everyday.
Take the extra mile.
