Wonder and Amazement
When you’re in the will of God, walking with God, living the life of righteousness and godliness you’re life is filled with Wonder and amazement
People around you are blessed, your family is blessed, your life is blessed.
Miracles signs and wonders accompany you
God starts opening doors around you and in front of you bringing all kinds of break through to your life and others.
All here candidates of Break through
Either we need a break through
Just had a break through and are ready for another one
Something in your spirit tells you that you’re on the verge of a break through.
God is God of Break thru
God is the God of break through. Genesis 1 broke through darkness and made light and supernatural, and water, and land and sky and plants and animals and humans
God breaks through chaos, confusion, lies, sin, evil, pain, the broken, the busted and disgusted, break the chains of bondage
>He breaks thru un-forgiveness, breaks thru our faults and failures
>>He breaks thru and brings goodness, mercy and grace and truth and love and hope and future and plan and God given purpose for your life.
This story in bible is about 2 beautiful break throughs.
You may identify with the man, or the ministers.
#1 The certain lame man needed a break through.
#2 Peter and John, being the new early church, needed a break through
God provides a healing to the lame man. Revelation!
God provides spiritual gifts to Peter. Faith and healing. Revelation! Same gift! = healing
1 peter 4:10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
Manifold grace of God
Many sides of God. The seen AND the unseen
The Seen is a man needing money
The unseen is the man needed more than money
The seen is 2 Christians going to a prayer meeting
The unseen is God was about to perform a miracle!!
He was looking at the cup, when he needed what was in the gate. God is leading you through the gate, not to the gate!!.......Beautiful breakthrough
Lets unpack some truths in Gods word
1. Break thrus happen when you ask
Verse 3 …asking for alms
immobilized man was asking, for the wrong thing, but he was vocal. It was in a HIGH traffic area at the EAST gate, the one the Messiah would return. There’s a HUGE cemetery next to the gate today.
we cant get numb or stationary or dead to the things of God because we live in the world.
God says “you’re in it, not of it”
So many times we look at what we can see and even ask God for what we can see or imagine but God has the BIG picture, the manifold grace of God. Has so more in store!!
STORY: I was talking to my wife’s Grandpa. He said there was a time in his early life that he remembers telling his wife, “If we only made $100 per week, we would be SET! We would have it all”
God is not limited by the physical or the seen or what we can imagine, He is the God of overflow, the supernatural that promises more we can ever hope, dream or imagine!
Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. not "left" wanting
Ephesians 3:20--Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us
Don’t limit what God can do, by praying small prayers.
Don’t limit Him to what you can see.
Dream BIG,
Pray BIG,
Ask BIG!
What you dream about and hope for God calls predestined!! >>>walk it out>>> becomes destiny!!
This lame man was broken for 40 years. He didn’t need another couple of bucks, he needed Jesus. The author of life, and a hope and a future!
2. Breakthroughs happen thru connetions
Peter and John both had brothers who were disciples, you would think it would be that partnership, but God partnered these friends who had a common bond of the cause of Christ. The relationships you start today could be the ones that God uses the most in the future. We need connections. Out of this men’s group, these fishermen were made into disciples. God passed responsibility to them to preach the good news of Christ. The Connection they had with each other and then out of that, they connected with the man.
And they connected him to the gate and thru the gate.
Have you ever been on the outside looking in?
Neighborhood Pool or sports stadium? Need a ticket? Need a pool key?
Maybe you’re in a rut and you want to break thru. Its thru connections that God uses to bring about life change and break thru.
In church, there’s Christ centered connections. Small groups, serve teams, prayer meetings.
Christ’s body is the church and body needs to connect!!
3. Break thrus happen when you say “I can.”
Peter had just denied Christ and could’ve fled, but he decided to follow and serve Christ because he was forgiven. When you know you’re forgiven, it empowers you. When you’re worried about something you have no confidence.
Stop saying “I can’t and start living I can”
Break thru ::: God shows you that you can do something and you said “I cant”
John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
I cant do anything of myself, but with God all things are possible!
This man was healed and walked and praised God and leaped because he an I CAN about him!
Church can’t be full of I CANTs It needs to be full of I CANS!
I cant isn’t in a Christian vocabulary
We are to seek and save the lost
Seek n save , seek n save. Sounds like a Christian dept store.
IT'S the life of a Christian. No greater cause than the cause to save souls.
Christ didn’t come to leave us broken, he came to set us free!!!
Christ empowers you to live “I CAN”
I CAN overcome
I CAN face my fears
I CAN forgive
I CAN trust God with my life
I CAN LOVE myself others
I CAN See the goodness of GOD
I CAN believe
I CAN
I CAN
I CAN
I CAN DO ALL THINGS THRU CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME!!
Anytime Jesus felt an I cant in His followers He checked it and said “O ye of little faith”
The I CAN’T is a sinner, addict, criminal, lost, outcast, cusser, drunkard, idolater
That meets the living savior, empowered by the Holy spirit
And becomes a beliver, truster, follower, overcomer, whosoever, server, blesser, preacher, giver!!
God takes the I cant and turns you into an I CAN
The life of breakthrough is the I can life.
4. Break thrus happen and lives change
Miracle, sermon, invitation, arrest, threaten.... but 5000 saved.
Early church exploded with break thru!
Acts 4:4 However, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.
This church can explode with break thru if we catch what God wants to do.
Seek first the kingdom and his righteousness and ALL THINGS shall be added unto you! Matt 6:33
Fall in love with the things of God.
Love his word, his prescence,
If you don’t know the plan for your life.
Seek him..he who seeks will find!
Your break thru can change a generation.
Populate heaven with the people around you.
Pray
>>How many would say you need to ask more, maybe pray more, maybe you’ve been immobile and you need a beautiful break thru and start trusting God like never before?
>>How many feel powerless, but today you are ready to live the “I CAN” life
>>>How many would say today you don’t know if youre going to heaven, but today you want to begin or rededicate your life to Christ.
Bible says if you confess with your mouth and belive in your heart that Jesus is Lord, he takes away your sins and gives you eternal life. Get right with God today and make that declaration over your life?
Lord Jesus, ……I trust you like never before,……. I can do all things through Christ, You’re my Lord, & I’ll follow you from this day on, I’m looking forward to a victorious life of break thrus .. in Jesus name, Amen.
