JESUS SIXTH SAYING FROM THE CROSS
“It is finished”
John 19:19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.
19:20 This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.
Our heavenly father finished the creation and rested Jesus finished now rested in Joseph’s tomb
(1) Our Saviour’s redemptive act now complete
Colossians 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
The battle with Satan is won and over
The shed blood for the sins of the world finished
Our beloved Messiah is fully his life for us
(2) All scripture requirements are satisfied
Luke 24:26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
God’s promises fully kept
Prophecies fulfilled to the letter
He gave his life for our wickedness
(3) Saints in paradise now reap their reward
Ephesians 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
4:9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
4:10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

(4) Silence in Heaven seemed eternal
Zechariah 13 Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.
All heaven looked on with shock
Helplessness of his friend stood by
Hell itself shook with fear and trembling
(5) The shout of victory rang out
Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
12:3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Rocks trees birds and angels sang it is finished it is finished
Joy swept across heaven form the earth
Fear and fright struck Satan
(6) Salvation is now a free gift for the sinner
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Justified by his wonderful Grace
Come as you are
Judgment is lifted at Calvary
(7) Security forever it is finished
Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
Absolutely secure in Christ
Sealed with the Holy Spirit
Serve work and witness we are saved
