The Way Of The Cross
Part-2
Mathew 10:37-39
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
I am entitling this today: the way of the cross part-2.
Pr 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
We live in a world where there seems to be a right way and there seems to be a wrong way, but if Jesus is not the one leading then they both will take us to the same place. (Hell)
We as a church need to walk in unity and have our minds on what Christ done at the Cross and what was done for us.
Philippians 3:15-16
15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
This means that they were otherwise minded, but through the words of Paul the Holy Spirit was going to show them the right way, which was to pull them back to the Cross.
Paul was showing them how to press towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
They were making progress as they stay focused on the same thing.
Church let us walk the same path, that of the Cross.
Philippians 3:17-18
17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
Paul and others were being an example of how to walk this walk of faith.
We need those who know how to really believe to pick up their crosses and follow hard after Jesus this morning.
Can I ask you a question this morning what way are you going this morning?
There are a lot of people that claim a lot of things, but according to our opening text it is all about serving Jesus.
Father, mother, kids, grandkids, friends and relatives can not be placed before Jesus this morning.
Mt 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
We need total faith in the cross to the exclusion of everything else.
We can only follow Jesus by the way of the Cross.
If you are a believer this morning, you have a Cross pick it up and follow hard after Jesus this morning.
If I don’t take up my Cross and follow him according to Mathew 10:38 is not worthy of Jesus.
We need to get back to the basics of our faith and that is the cross of Christ.
1Co 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
How many this morning is saved?
Then there needs to be a Preaching of the cross because it is the power of God.
The world will never understand the cross and what it represents without us talking about the power that we have received because of Christ and how He died on the Cross but rose again and overcame death, hell and the grave.
1 Corinthians 1:19
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
This speaks of those who are wise in their own eyes, but in effect have forsaken the ways of the Lord.
Mt 10:39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
If we refuse the Cross of Christ we will lose our lives, but if I place my faith in what He accomplished upon that Cross I will gain life.
1: Corinthians 1:28
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
It is God working in the base things and the despised things which brings about miraculous things.
God can use that is nothing within itself, but with Him all things become possible.
The way of the cross
Php 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Paul wanted to know him deeper, and the power of his resurrection.
Paul was going to suffer at times for the faith that He had in Christ.
We need to remember that Paul knew who Jesus was and was considered a Bond Servant, he was connected from the inside out and even if he wanted to he was so connected to Jesus that he could not let go.
Paul was not His own but he was the property of Jesus Christ, he was hooked on Jesus!
Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Some might say they cannot bear their Cross, yes you can.
Jesus will strengthen you in your time of need.
I have entitled this today: the Way Of The Cross
6-1-12 I had an open vision.
I literally saw myself with a laminated Cross in front of me.
Interpretation
God is leading me by the way of the cross.
1 Corinthians18-19

The way of the Cross
I understand that some of you do not understand why God shows me these kinds of things.
I can tell you this I am sure glad that He does because I want to follow whatever plans that he has for this church.
Gal 1:10 For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ. (N.A.S.)
Paul was not seeking the favor of men, but he wanted the favor of God to abide in his life.
Paul was a bond-servant of Christ. When I say bond-servant, I mean that there was a connection between Paul and Jesus.
Paul was so connected to Jesus that there was no way that he could or even want to let go of Jesus in his life.
When we are a bond-servant to Christ, we will not worry about what the world has to say, we will be God pleasers.
1 Corinthians 7:1 says, “let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called”.
God has calling where each and every one of us are called. We have to be willing to listen to what the Spirit of God is saying to us and move forward.
When we get to where God is taking us to, abide in that calling because that calling is what God has planned for your life.
The way of the Cross
Pr 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Last week I told you how I did not know what to preach on father’s day and I shared how the Lord led me to my message.
This vision was part of it.
On 6-14 I had an open Vision again and I saw Jesus. He was quoting the Lords Prayer. (Thy Kingdom come thy will be done.)
You want to talk about getting up and down all night that is what I did.
I told Susan what had happened the next morning and how I still did not know what to talk about.
She then pointed out to me Our Father which is in Heaven.
I got it!
The one thing I do know is that we are receiving a little taste of the Kingdom of God in the Shelter House.
3-27-12
I dreamed that we were outside of the church and we plowed a bunch of land to put in a garden, we noticed that the ground was really dry. Someone said nothing will ever grow on this land. I said what if we tap into an underground spring in the hills of this property. I knew that there was water if we tapped into it. I knew that the ground would be fine and our garden would grow.
Interpretation
Plowing land to put in a garden, in a since that is what we have done.
We noticed that the ground was really dry, that is what it had looked like on the outside.
Someone said nothing will ever grow on this land, in the past that is what has been said about this church.
I said what if we tap into an underground spring in the hills of this property; I knew that there was water.
John 7:37-38
37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
If anyone is thirsty we need to come to Jesus and drink.
He that believes on Me, as the Scripture has said, again back to that word believe!
Out of his belly shall flow rivers of Living Waters.
Look at Verse 39 one more time.
39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
This would begin on the Day of Pentecost.
Listen to me closely this morning; He has now been given to us who believe!
If we believe then we just read you should receive.
I am not saying you have to be Baptized in the Holy Spirit, but if you believe that he can why would you not want to be?
In the dream I said what if we tap into an underground spring in the hills of this property; I knew that there was water.
If we are Baptized in the Holy Spirit maybe we need to tap into that water that flows from out of our bellies?
We need to tap into that power that the world does not understand or even comprehend.
If we have the Holy Spirit this morning and you want this garden to grow utilize what God has given you.
Some might say this church will never grow, they are nuts, this church is going to grow and we are going to flow in Gods Spirit.
1Pe 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
The way of the Cross
Thy kingdom come thy will be done!
All by the way of the cross!
The day after I preached the way of the Cross I went home and took a nap and I dreamed that I was preaching about the way of the cross. I could see my self with my illuminated cross in front of me.
Church there needs to be a preaching of the Cross so that we can receive water that is flowing from Gods Throne Room.
We need to pick up ours no matter what is going on in our lives and follow like we have never followed Him before.

Church the one thing I do know is this if Jesus is running throughout our church then we need to expect to receive what He has promised us.
Dream 12-27-07 Page 175
I dreamed that Susan’s Grandma was on her deathbed, the whole family was there. As she was lying there she had a smile on her face, I could see the peace of God all over her. She now dies I look up and I see a vision of Jesus smiling. I now see a vision of Jesus on the cross.
Interpretation
Even while Susan Grandma was on her deathbed she was smiling, she was smiling because she could see with her spiritual eyes into the supernatural.
I could see the peace of God all over her.
She now dies and I look up and I see a vision of Jesus smiling, He is smiling because she overcame the situations in her life and was faithful to Him until the end.
I now see a vision of Jesus on the cross.
The way of the Cross
Salvation would not have been possible for her or any one else without what Jesus did at Calvary.
There was a price to be paid, but yet Jesus is smiling, He is saying it was worth it.
To die really is to gain this morning.
My grandma had a smile on her face when she died.
There was a Jehovah witness in the room, her daughter who said “Mom, what are you smiling about?”
She then said, “Mom, your dead!”
Remember when Stephen was being stoned, and how He looked up and saw Jesus standing at the right hand of God?
1 Peter 1:13 ASV
Therefore prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 1:20
For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you
Mt 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done.
That’s what is taking place at the shelter house; God is blessing us with a taste from His Kingdom.
God wants us to know that he can do whatever is in His will, but we need to believe.
Believe means to be obedient to what Jesus says to do.
God is taking us down a path where we are seeing the mighty hand of God at work.
Mt 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.
We are to look to the Lord for substance, both natural and spiritual.
A while back Jackie had a dream and in the dream big loaves of bread was being prepared.
Do you believe this morning?

Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done!
We are going to be packed!
We are going to be packed by the means of the cross!

Are we as a people of God placing anything before Jesus this morning?
God has to be number one in our lives.
Closing
Ps 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
That path has been pathed by the means of the Cross!
