1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,
Hebrews 4:14 (NKJV)
14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
Hebrews 10:23 (NKJV)
23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
This word translated “profession” in the King James is the same Greek word translated “confession” here. This Greek text actually says, “Let us hold fast to saying the same thing.
Words carry the power of life and death. Words are power packed. They cut to the core or spread honey to the heart; they bless or curse. Words build up or tear down. Words bring forth great things, or they destroy our lives. Words frame our world. Words turn things around. Words direct our lives. Words set the rudder for the courses of our lives. Words start fires. Words ensnare. Words impart. Words bring joy. Words are seeds. Words produce fruit. Words are containers. Words are carriers. Words are not nebulous sound waves that dissipate into thin air; words can move mountains. Words play a huge role in determining our eternal destiny, the salvation of our souls and the quality of our lives on earth. Have you ever thought about the diverse power of words?
So what I have found out is that we need to find the true Word and say that. The true word is God’s Word.
God’s Word has life in it.

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life--
Proverbs 4:20-22 (NKJV)
20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart;
22 For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.
God’s Word is a seed. What do you do with a seed. You got to plant it and water it. Where do you plant it.
Proverbs 4:23 (NKJV)
23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.
Remember the Law of Genesis. A seed will produce after its own kind.
Genesis 8:22 (NKJV)
22 "While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease."
Mark 4:1-9 (NKJV)
1 And again He began to teach by the sea. And a great multitude was gathered to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat in it on the sea; and the whole multitude was on the land facing the sea.
2 Then He taught them many things by parables, and said to them in His teaching:
3 "Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow.
4 And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it.
5 Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth.
6 But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away.
7 And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop.
8 But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred."
9 And He said to them, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"
Mark 4:13-20 (NKJV)
13 And He said to them, "Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables?
14 The sower sows the word.
15 And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.
16 These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
17 and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word's sake, immediately they stumble.
18 Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word,
19 and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
20 But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred."
• God’s Word does not return empty.
Isaiah 55:11 (NKJV)
11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
And what God has promise us will come to pass if we work the SEED!
Mark 4:26-28 (NKJV) And He said, "The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, 27 and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. 28 For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head.
2 Corinthians 1:20 (NKJV)
20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
WORDS you use in your everyday life: the WORDS you speak at home, with your friends, at work. These everyday WORDS do three things to you and for you: 1. The WORDS you speak identify you. 2. The WORDS you speak set the boundaries of your life. 3. The WORDS you speak affect your spirit (your inward man). If you want to locate yourself, just listen to the WORDS you speak.
Matthew 12:33-37 (NKJV) "Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. 34 Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. 36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."
So we see how important Words are, Look at what the Bible says about words.
Words have the power of life and death: Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Words have the power to bring sweetness to our souls and also bring health to our bodies: Proverbs 16:24 Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.
Words produce fruit: Proverbs 12:14 A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth, And the recompense of a man's hands will be rendered to him.
Words can turn away anger or stir up strife: Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.
Words can frame our world: Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
Words snare us: Proverbs 6:2 You are snared by the words of your mouth; You are taken by the words of your mouth.
Words take us places: James 3:3-4 Indeed, we put bits in horses' mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. 4 Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires.
Words can make mountains jump and trees die: Mark 11:20-24 Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. 21 And Peter, remembering, said to Him, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away." 22 So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God.
23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Words bind the devil or loose God’s power: Matthew 16:19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
Words make tremendous power available: James 5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
Words stop wind and waves: Matthew 8:26 But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
Words eradicate fevers and heal sick bodies: Luke 4:38-39 Now He arose from the synagogue and entered Simon's house. But Simon's wife's mother was sick with a high fever, and they made request of Him concerning her. 39 So He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them.
Words give wisdom and kindness: Proverbs 31:26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, And on her tongue is the law of kindness.
Words teach: Proverbs 16:21 The wise in heart will be called prudent, And sweetness of the lips increases learning.
Words impart grace: Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.
Words bring us salvation: Romans 10:8-10 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Words give wisdom: Proverbs 1:6 To understand a proverb and an enigma, The words of the wise and their riddles.
Words can please the Lord: Proverbs 15:26 The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD, But the words of the pure are pleasant.
Words feed people: Proverbs 10:21 The lips of the righteous feed many, But fools die for lack of wisdom.
Words disperse knowledge: Proverbs 15:7 The lips of the wise disperse knowledge, But the heart of the fool does not do so.
Words provide favor with leaders: Proverbs 16:13 Righteous lips are the delight of kings, And they love him who speaks what is right.
Words protect you: Proverbs 13:2 A man shall eat well by the fruit of his mouth, But the soul of the unfaithful feeds on violence.
Words give joy: Proverbs 15:23 A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, And a word spoken in due season, how good it is!
Words win favor: Ecclesiastes 10:12 The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious, But the lips of a fool shall swallow him up;
Words are the language of faith: 2 Corinthians 4:13 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, "I believed and therefore I spoke," we also believe and therefore speak,
Words provide a well of life: Proverbs 10:11 The mouth of the righteous is a well of life, But violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
Wise people teach their mouths: Proverbs 16:23 The heart of the wise teaches his mouth, And adds learning to his lips.
Proverbs 21:23 (NKJV) Whoever guards his mouth and tongue Keeps his soul from troubles.
Proverbs 21:23 (NLT) Watch your tongue and keep your mouth shut, and you will stay out of trouble.
Proverbs 12:6 (NLT) The words of the wicked are like a murderous ambush, but the words of the godly save lives.
Proverbs 12:18 (NLT) Some people make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise bring healing.
Proverbs 12:25 (NLT) Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.

Psalm 17:3 (NLT) You have tested my thoughts and examined my heart in the night. You have scrutinized me and found nothing wrong. I am determined not to sin in what I say.
Ecclesiastes 5:6 (NLT) Don’t let your mouth make you sin. And don’t defend yourself by telling the Temple messenger that the promise you made was a mistake. That would make God angry, and he might wipe out everything you have achieved.
What should we say Then or think:
Philippians 4:8 (NKJV) Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things.
Colossians 4:6 (NKJV) Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
Colossians 3:16 (NKJV) Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Ephesians 5:19 (NKJV) speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,
Mark 4:24 (NKJV) Then He said to them, "Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given.
Romans 10:17 (NKJV) So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
