Clarity Produces Vision by Pastor Shawn Bouldin
Proverbs 29:18 amp
Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [of God, which includes that of man]--blessed (happy, fortunate, and enviable) is he.
Why Vision?
Brings growth, production, action, purpose!!!
Out of all the words, truths God chose vision in His word…..
Things die without Godly revelation
No path without God
All have questions ::::Where did I come from???
What is my purpose???
Where am I going???
TRUTH is: God’s word answers all 3 questions.
GOOD NEWS is: Jesus came to establish his church to give ALL people truth and direction. ……And vision.

This account says: Eyes were opened,…… they had understanding
Expand on didn’t recognize him…goatee…change clothes?
Were consumed with recent events
Allowed life’s circumstances to dictate their mood.
“I thought he was the one…”
Had no clarity and lost the vision…….!
As Christians, the Lord wants us to have vision and clarity so that we know where we where we came from, who we are and where we are going. God is a God of order!!
He has given us the greatest promise greatest hope = eternal life
>>>>Vision speaks of future, clarity speaks of present.
Before vision you need clarity.
Vs 44…word
Clarity about the present
Word of God brings Clarity to the present.
Clarity in the present, determines your future.
Clarity brings :
confidence
strength
direction
power
knowledge
JOKE: have you ever been in a room full of drunk people? Clarity gives you the edge!!!
Clarity produces vision
Vision produces actions
Actions produce lifestyle
Lifestyle produces destiny
Member here recently was going thru a season, had enough, said he woke up from a nightmare. Job, heart, thinking, schedule, rigors of life. God gave him tremendous clarity, now he is a new man!
Clarity is the starting point
Vision is the path
Actions are the vehicle
Lifestyle is the journey
Destiny is the legacy
Without vision people perish
Clarity gives you insight on your surroundings. Behaviors, thoughts, habits, people in your life…..
Clarity allows you to see big picture
Barton Springs story: got our kids out of there!!!
BIG PICTURE:
Jesus confirmed ALL that was written for 1,000s of years…..then cast vision
With the Lord, Seek God above all else word is in your heart. You see the things that he sees, that break his heart. So that YOU can make WISE choices.
Clarity about the past
Our past doesn’t shape our future.
It helps, for instance, a diploma or degree, or wisdom, education, common sense
Where our heart is today, determines our future.
I believed in Christ when I was a boy, but today I choose to follow
I was married to Amanda Bouldin 13 years ago, but today I choose to be devoted to her and choose her as my bride.
Today is the first day of the rest of your life.
Religion looks at the past.
Humanity looks to the past.
Jesus is not on the cross anymore!!
Jesus is RISEN. He IS RESURRECTED AND ALIVE AND WELL TODAY
Hebrews 6:6 says When we allow compromise to come into our lives, we put Jesus back on the cross.
Jesus didn’t come to earth and die for us so that we would struggle with sin.
He overcame it, conquered it giving it no power…..giving us power!
The peril of not progressing gives the devil power, it breeds confusion, disorder, dysfunction,
You may have things spoken over your life that have brought defeat,
I am here to say that a life in Christ brings freedom and victory and fullness!!
HE Makes you a new creation and breathes new life into your life.
Clarity about future
Romans 15:4 (NKJV)
4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.
What are you working towards? What are your goals?
Finances? family? Freedom? Ministry goals?
Ask any pro athlete, what is your goal? Gold medal, superbowl ring…..
Paul says… 1 Corinthians 9:24 run in such away to win the prize.
We need Vision so that when the rigors of life come, we are able to grind it out.
The Lord is the author, perfector and finisher of our faith
The beginning, the life, the resurrection
Was, is and is yet to come.
