Overcoming the Greatest Hindrance to Healing
I'm going to read to you in a few moments out of the book of
Mark,
Mark 1:40-42
40 Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, "If You are willing, You can make me clean."
41 Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, "I am willing; be cleansed."
42 As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.
I know that there is people hurting, in trouble and they need help.
And I believe that God's word is relevant for today's problems.
THE BIBLE SAYS ~ Psalms 91:14-16
14 "Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation."

Today I want to talk about ~
Overcoming the Greatest Hindrance to Healing
Listen carefully ~ Living Bible -- talking about Jesus:
v:39 ~ So, he traveled throughout the province of Galilee preaching in the synagogues and releasing many from the power of demons.
Once a leper came and knelt in front of Him and begged Him to be healed.
“If You want to, You can make me well.”
That is the cry of humanity everywhere.
1. God, if You want to.
2. If it is Your will.
3. I know you have the power.
4. You created the world and everything therein.
5. I know You've got the power.
The greatest hindrance is:…… Is it the will of God? .
That's the greatest hindrance you'll ever overcome
if you want to get out of trouble or get healed in your body.
Is it God's will?
• This leper had the same problem people have all over the world.
He said in the King James version:
If You will. ……If it's Your will.
He said here in the Living Bible:
If You want to.
I'm glad Jesus came to earth,
I'm so glad Jesus came to represent the Father.
I'm telling you, it's better to believe Jesus than anything else.
This leper posed one of the greatest hindrance
to your getting out of your trouble
or getting healed in your body.
He said:……
Jesus, if You want to, You can make me well.
Jesus said? -- I want to. I want to.
• You may be in a storm today,
• you may be in trouble today,
• doctors may have given you up,
• you may have suffered for years and no hope.
T.T. ~ The book of Job
1. ~ People are taught that it’s not God's will to heal them.
2. ~ People are taught that God may want to heal some of them, but He
3. doesn't want to heal everybody.
4. ~ People are taught that all the miracles and signs and wonders have
5. passed away.
6. ~ Some people are thought to believe maybe God wants us to suffer.
You need to change what you believe
and realize that the God of the Bible
has a message for you:
• You can overcome the greatest hindrance…… Is it God's will?
• God's will IS for you to be healed
and delivered
and set free
and have life and have it more abundantly.
That's God's will.

Notice in this story the leper said:
• If ….You want to, You can heal me.
Jesus canceled his "if."
Every if has been canceled when He said:
I want to.
I want you to be healed.
I want you to walk in divine health.
I want you to get out of trouble.
I want to heal your marriage.
I want to deliver your children.
I want to drive demons out of you.
• One of the greatest revelations that we have along this line is the book of Job.
Job 1:6-12
6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them.
7 And the LORD said to Satan, "From where do you come?" So Satan answered the LORD and said, "From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it."
8 Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?"
9 So Satan answered the LORD and said, "Does Job fear God for nothing?
10 "Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.
11 "But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!"
12 And the LORD said to Satan, "Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person." So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.
I want to give you 4 revelations – about God.
Number one, the book of Job God reveals that he wants men and women to be blessed on this earth.
v: 8 (Job) -- a good man who feared God and stayed away from evil.
VERSE 3 TALKS ABOUT
He had a large family of seven sons and three daughters.
Was immensely wealthy
He owned 7,000 sheep; 3,000 camels; 500 teams of oxen; 500 female donkeys; and many servants.
He was rich.
That's God's blessing.
You say: ……………….Does God wants me to be blessed?
Yes.
I have been poor and I have been rich and rich is better.
Poverty is not a blessing.
That's not the blessing of God.
Here in the book of Job,
God said: v: 10
I have blessed.
He has plenty.
That is God’s will.
Listen !!! ~ You got to know it's the will of God for it to be yours.

The second revelation that we have in the book of -- of Job is that
• v: 10 ~ God protects His people.
How many of you know God has supernaturally protected you?
Shout Amen. (Amen)
14 "Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation."
Psalms 91:14-16
God loves His people.
The devil came to God;
and
God said: Where you been, Satan?
He said ~ I've been walking through the earth.
Then the Lord asked Satan: Have you noticed My servant Job?
See, God's proud –
…… not when you're beaten down by the devil…
God is proud ……..to point to someone that He has blessed.
GOD SAID ~ Have you seen My servant Job?
~ There's none like him in all the world.
• SIDE NOTE: God has called you by name.
Jesus said: I know My sheep. I call them by name.
Have you noticed my servant Job?
He's the finest man in all the earth.
Satan said –
why shouldn't he when ~ You pay him so well?
~ You've always protected him.
• THINK ~ This is a revelation about God and His people.
God wants to bless you ….if you let Him.
~ If you'll quit blaming God for poverty.
~ He'll give you something.
~ Quit believing the devil's lie and believe God's truth.
John 10:10 ~ "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
The devil said ~ Why shouldn't he,
You pay him so well?
You always protect him,
You protect his home and his property from all harm.
You prospered him in everything he does.
Look how rich he is.
No wonder he worships You.
The revelation is……. God's desire to protect us in his blessings.
Hallelujah.
If God blesses you, don't let the devil steal it.
Some people let him steal their wives.
Steal their children.
The devil just comes in and just steals everything a man has.
I'm telling you, he better not try to steal Yvonne.
I mean, you talk about a man fighting,
I'll fight for Yvonne.
She is mine, you understand.
Keep your eyes off of her.
Devil keep your hands off of her.
She's mine forever.
We see that God's revelation is
1) He loves to prosper us.
2) He protects us.
The third thing;
Is that the book of Job reveals to us the source and the foundation of sickness…. and trouble.
Satan said ~ Sure he serves You.
But just touch his body.
Let sickness come upon him.
Let trouble come his way.
He'll curse you to your face.
• Take the broad revelation of God.
The Bible says: Satan went forth and smote Job with sore boils.
It didn't come from God.

The first book of the Bible (Job)
clearly pulls back the curtain to show us what even Job did not know.
Job in his wrong theology said:
The Lord giveth; the Lord taketh away.
The Lord did give, but the Lord didn't take away.
THE BIBLE SAYS ~ 2 Tim 2:15 (KJV)
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
The Bible says: Satan went forth and smote Job with sore boils.

• JOB DIDN'T KNOW WHAT GOD AND SATAN WAS SAYING!
God shows us where the source of his trouble came.
There he sits in all of those boils all over his body, suffering, scraping himself.
Somebody said:…….. Well, that's the will of God.
God put that on you……. Just endure it.!!!!!!!
THINK WITH ME
If a preacher came to you and said:
Here's my message on salvation.
Number one, it may not be God's will to save you.
Number two, God is trying to teach you something by staying lost.
Number three, just be patient; and if God chooses, He'll come by and save you.
Would anybody get saved? (No)
That's how healing is preach in great denominational churches.
You're sick unto death.
It looks like you're going to die.
It looks like you'll never get out of that sickness.
But, you know, it may not be God's will to heal you;
God may be teaching you a lesson.
Just be patient. If God wants you out of this trouble and wants to heal you,
He'll come by one day and just heal you.
Just don't worry about it.
It may not be God's will.
• So, we get all upset about God's will.
Well, It may not be God's will for me to get healed.
I just don't know whether it's God's will or not.
God may be teaching me something.
LISTEN TO ME!~!!!!!!
I know you might learn something,
but there's a better way to learn it.
I'm sure if I took a little child
and showed him fire
and stuck his hand in there and said:
Hot, hot, hot, hot
and fry his little hand a little while,
he'd never forget it.
But there's a better way to teach him.
If I took a little child
and showed him out there on the highway,
cars, automobile,
and just threw him out there and let a car knocked him about 25 feet
and said:
See you learned something, didn't you?
Stay out of the traffic.
Well, I'm sure he learned something; but that's not the best way to learn it.
YOU SAY
It may not be God's will to heal you;
God is teaching me a lesson.
Well, It may not be God's will for me to get healed.
I just don't know whether it's God's will or not.
• Why do you go to the doctor and take medicine
and try to get out of God's will?
I got to take this at 2:00 o'clock, this at 4:00 o'clock, this at 6:00 o'clock.
I got to go to the hospital.
I got to get the doctor.
I got to do this.
• No, don't do that, you'll get out of the will of God.
“Don't pray for me,”
I don't know if it's God's will for me to get well or not.
Well, ….quit trying to get well.
No, I don't believe that.
• You need to overcome the greatest barrier to healing and know God is a good God.
1 O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; Psalms 107:1-2 (KJV)
He wants you well.
The thief comes not but for to steal, to kill, and to destroy.
But Jesus said: Don't get me mixed up with him.
I am come that you might have life and have it more abundantly.

Did you know that Jesus said:
I am come to do the will of My Father?
Matt scriptures ~
And the Bible says He went about all the cities and all the villages healing every sickness and every disease.
Do you know the Bible says in Acts 10:38
how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil?
Every person Jesus healed was not made sick by His Father.
They were made sick by the devil.
If sickness is of God, then
Jesus fought against His Father every step of the way in His ministry.
• So, when we -- when we meet Job, he's -- he's healthy.
Everybody say healthy. (Healthy)
Wealthy. (Wealthy)
Blessed. (Blessed)
Wonderful family. (Wonderful family)
See, that's when God has hold of Job.
But now when the devil is loosed on him,
when the devil takes over –
everybody say the devil. (The devil)
Let's don't get -- him mixed up -- up with God,
When the devil takes over,
• God pulls back that curtain for all humanity to see where sickness and trouble comes from.
What does the devil do?
He wants to make you sick.
He wants to give you cancer.
He wants to give you arthritis.
He wants to give you heart trouble.
He wants to pull you out of this life early.
He wants to do everything to destroy your marriage.
And he eventually wants to bring you out of your body and drag you into hell.
See,
the devil came to Job healthy, wealthy blessed, now look at him.
His body is filled with disease.
His children are dead and gone.
All of his wealth has been wiped away.
That is Satan's plan,
And his……. deception …….makes you believe
That God is the author of what he's doing.
• I want you to know the greatest barrier to healing is knowing it's God's will

But you know what happened to Job?
The Bible says that God healed Job.
God healed him. …….See, that's God's will.
• God healed him and
• gave him twice as much at the end.
• Poor Job
So, I challenge you here.
Don't get mad at God. Get mad at the devil.
Rise up in Jesus' name and say: No, devil, get out of my body.
Disease go. I resist you.
Poverty I resist you.
Trouble in my home, I resist you in the name of Jesus.
Let me tell you something, when you resist the devil and stand in spiritual warfare with the name of Jesus, he must obey you; and you'll win the victory every time.
And I believe that God's word is relevant for today's problems.
