I. We Have Access
The apostle Peter used the root verb "approach, drawing near" when he wrote "in order that He might bring us to God." He said, "For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit" (1 Peter 3:18).
II. We Have Arrived!
We now have arrived into the presence of a holy God on the basis of the saving work of Christ. Jesus declared that He alone is our access to God. Jesus said, "Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep" (John 10:7).
