A The spirit of whoredom & perversion often work hand in hand.
1 These spirits have captured & captivated much of Europe and America’s young people.
a Nearly every celebrity & sports figure that children demigod have be demonized by these two spirits.
aa Tiger Woods, Michael Jackson, etc.
bb Amanda Knoxx in Italy (Sexually assalted & murdered a young woman)
b Africa is littered with mass graves from people who died of the AIDS virus.
2 Maybe you’re saying, “This is not my problem. I’ve never visisted a prostitute, pornography is not a problem I struggle with, faithful to my wife/husband, etc.”
a At the heart of the matter not a spirit of whoredom/perversion . . . but idolatry.
aa Anything that takes over you life can become an idol.
bb Career, money, sports, a person, food, a worthy cause or project, TV, hobbies or sex.
b 1 Cor. 6.12
aa Those who are controlled by spirit of whoredom/perversion have more than just simply a sexual problem.
bb There is always a root cause in the mind/spirt of person that leads to outward behavior or actions.
B The Ten Commandments sets out by telling us first that “Thou shalt have no other gods before me . . . I the Lord thy God, am a jealous God.” Ex. 20.3,5 KJV.
1 Manifestations of the spirit of whoredom/pervsions begin we give ourselves to anything above the Lord.
a When we sell our hearts to anyone/anything other than the Lord Jesus we prostitute our lives.
b The Bible reveals many reasons why whoredom & perversion gain entry into one’s life.

I The Forming of Idols
A Parental Failure
1 Parents can make or back a child. (Biggest asset of their lives or the biggest hindrance, healthy/unhealthy attachments)
a Child Abuse , “Any recent act or failure to act on the part of a parent or caretaker which results in death, serious physical or or emotional harm, sexual abuse or exploitation; or an act or failure to act which presents an imminent risk of serious harm.”
b Most prostitutes were victims of abuse by a father, step-father, or some other authority.
c Most homosexuals are victims of sexual abuse: others simply had no male model or where emotionally abused by fathers.
2 Generational curses follow bad parental behavior.
B Sexual Problems in Marriage
1When there are intimacy issues in a marriage where one marriage partners needs are going unfilled the one is unfilled can fall under attack/temptation drawing them into sin.
a 1 Cor. 7.5
b The progression is identifiable, measurable, predictable . . . & God cared enough about us that He put in the Bible, Chapter & Verse.
aa James 1.14-15
bb wrong desires, enticement, wrong acts, sin, and then death.
2 Today we can find sexual opportunities everywhere.
a The internet has become a new place to solicit evil.
b (IL. There are website designed exclusively to bring married people wanting to cheat in contact with other married people who want to cheat.)
C Early exposure to sexually explicit material
1 The enemy wants to pollute the mind and the younger he can start corrupting a young mind the better he likes it.
a A young person can easily and accidently open a door to via the internet that exposes them to the worst pornographic material out there.
aa Once the eyes see it, enters the mind . . . open door for demonic spirits.
bb Television, computer screens, cell phones are portholes into the minds of you and old and there is no way of escaping in our age of information.
b Students are given their homework on-line, social & educational structure is build around information technology.
aa The answer isn’t to hide/run from it.
bb You can’t run fast enough.
2 Technology is neutral: not evil/good.
a Be on guard against the enemy realizing the devil wants to ruin/destroy our families.
b We need to be accountable to our husbands/wives about what we see/watch.
aa Parents must set parental controls on their computers, monitor television programs, movies, and guard against any temptation.
bb When we consider the portals the Devil uses to we must very diligent.
D An undisciplined devotional life.
1 Believers who are daily committed to walking with Jesus Christ will likely remain untouched by spirits of perversion. (Will not stay under the spirits sway for long.)
a As believers we are called to have a life of self-control, stay away from things that tempt the flesh.
b If we are daily working on our relationship we will be made aware of the areas we are falling under attack and take it to Jesus.
2 Daily seeking God means . . .
a Active prayer life (that includes thankfulness & praise)
b I believe angels show up where ever God is praised!
aa If we live in a state of continual praise of God, we already spiritual special forces at the ready . . . protection.
bb Seeking Him daily also means an active study life in the Word of God
cc The Word of God illuminates our world & exposes the enemy.
E Occult Involvement
1 Jezebel was deeply into occult practices and although she was on the throne of Israel, a nation founded by God.
a She seduced the men of God and perverted the nations blessing with improper leadership.
b Many people who come out of occultism, witchcraft will usually tell you stories of initiation rites involving sexual encounters.
2 There is a real connection between spiritual rebellion & whoredom.
a Many pastor, leaders, & church members fall prey to the spirit of whoredom when they rebel against God’s will.
b When we step out of God’s protection, provision we step into disobedience: hand demons the key to the church, our self-control and eventually our reputation.
3 The occult is rising in America. (Ghost Hunters are on every channel, witch doctors are studied, believed and imitated.
II Lessons from Hosea
A The entire story of the book of Hosea is his life & marriage to Gomer, a harlot & prostitute. (Gomer was controlled by the spirits we are talking about tonight.)
1 Gomer gave Hosea three sons, the last of which was named “not mine.”
a Gomer was addicted to sex and left Hosea to become a temple prostitute to the God of Baal.
b She would have probably died as a broken woman, used up and thrown away had Hosea not mercifully/lovingly bought her, brought her back to him.
aa Her unfaithfulness was a picture of Israel’s unfaithfulness to God.
bb When somebody walks away from their commitment to God it becomes easy to walk away from other important commitments in life.
2 The Book of Hosea marks the course one taken in the spirit of whoredom downward.
a Hos. 5.4, The person taken in this spirit doesn’t know God.
b Hos. 4.2-3, He/she violates His laws.
c Hos. 4.6, Destruction comes upon him/her
d Hos. 4.7, Prosperity becomes a means to evil instead of to blessing
e Hos. 4.12, People idolize things other than God
f Hos. 4.15, Church becomes hypocrisy
g Hos.4.9, God then punished the one controlled by the spirit of harlotry and whoredoms.
3 The New Testament gives a course of the sinner in this downward spiral in Romans 1.17-32.
a Rom. 1.17, Refusal to live by faith.
b Rom. 1.18-22, Rejection of God
c Rom. 1.21-23, Exchanging God’s glory for an idol
d Rom. 1.24-25, Exchange God’s truth for lies
e Rom. 1.26-27, Embracing sexual perversion
f Rom 1.28, Being released by God to their devices
g Rom 1.29-32, The destruction of society
4 When a person gives into the spirit of whoredom/perversion they are making an exchange.
a Based on instant gratification, temporary emotional & physical pleasure that cannot & does not last.
b The bible says the judgement of God is on them threefold: He gives them into uncleanness, vile passion, and a reprobate mind.
5 The ramifications of these destructive strongholds reach into two areas:
a First, they open their lives up to destruction.
aa Followed by moral failure, mental anguish, and emotional hell.
bb Physical & mental dangers such as disease, depression, and even death.
III If the Spirit of Whoredom & Perversion Is not bound the nation is lost.
A The basic tenets of society fall apart once morality is dismantled. (Family, roles of males & females)
1 What are social norms?
a Social norms are no longer clearly defined for ANYONE unplugged from the church body. (Tommy has Two Mommys)
b The television, our government are redefining social norms with clever and entertaining marketing.
aa Cindy McCain, NOH8 picture, Prop. 8 banning gay marriage in CA., passed in 2008, but sent shockwaves through the GOP.
bb Even unfaithful christians can get caught up in these lies at church, workbecause their sense of social norms have been skewed.
2 AND divorce rates are as high inside the church as they are outside our often-gated city. (This only provides further proof for the twisted media & governmental vision of what it means to be a family. WE SHOULD BE EXAMPLE FAMILIES FOR THE WORLD TO SEE AS WHAT CAN GO RIGHT IN A FAMILY!!!)

Conclusion:
A To overcome this stronghold you must . . .
1 Be sure Jesus is Lord in your life.
a Search your heart/life & make sure He is ruling & reigning from the throne of your life.
b Has He taken control of all of our desires in our hearts, minds or have we truly given Him everything.
2 Tear every idol out of your heart.
a If there is anything that you invest more time, talent, passion in your life than you do in your love for God, consider its place for it really it, and IDOL, and deal with it immediately.
b Tonight, tear that altar down in the name in Jesus!
3 Bind the spirits of harlotry and whoredoms that may have taken root in your life.
B Prayer
Lord Jesus, forgive me for allowing anything or anyone but You to rule over my life. I confess that You alone have the right to be Lord. I reject every lie of Satan and every idol he has brought into my life. In Jesus’s name, I bind these destructive spirits and ask You to cleanse my life of every wrong they have brought. Thank You for freedom. In Jesus’s name, amen.
