WHY PEOPLE FAIL AS CHRISTIANS

The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
(1) Because they are forgetful hearers
James 1: 24For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
(2)Because they will not consider

(3) By yielding to the world

(4) By sudden temptation
Gal. 6: 1Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
(5) By failing to watch
Matt.26: 41Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
(6) By inattention
2Peter 1: 10Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
