When God disappears from your life…
Many times in life it appears that God is not present. What do you do when you feel that God has forgotten you? You reaffirm Him as your messiah. Messiah means to the Jewish culture “this is who we are hanging our hat on, we will rest all of our hopes, dreams, and belief on this One truth. If He should fail us, we are lost.” Did you catch that, there is no alternative for them, and there is no alternative for us. We’ve placed all of our hope in Him and now He is “proving” us. To prove is to test against something that is real and find its real value. We are precious in the site of the Lord. The enemy sees us as discarded waste. God is showing the enemy through your testing that you have both strength and worth. You may be facing tragic circumstances and you really needed God to be God three days ago. He “failed” you and you do not know what to do. Know this, believer, Gods wisdom is greater than the best of men and his ignorance is greater than the wisest man. Hardships and challenges come because of what we are called to be, not because what you have done. Catch this…This is a teaching moment; In the Hebrew culture, training comes before maturity. Same with Jesus, He is training you for who you are to become. He sees something greater in you than the world sees. He sees a diamond in the coals and he rubs you consistently causing friction and pain but this is God taking the rough edges attempting to form you in to brilliance. God is shaping your weakness into strength. 2Ti 2:3-7 Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs-he wants to please his commanding officer. Similarly, if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor’s crown unless he competes according to the rules. The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops. Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this…..
When you feel weak, confess that you are strong. Realize this, when you made the confession that Jesus is your savior, you have made the decision for Him to be your messiah. The devil is mad at you because he is vying for that position and he continues to disprove the faithfulness of God. We have to have the mindset that God is faithful. Whatever God promised is the truth. Realize that your trial has an expiration date and it is trying to pull you away from the truth. Hbr 10:37-39 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if [any man] draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul…
There is greatness in you. God has not forgotten you. Hold on to your faith. God has not disappeared, he is training you for greatness. You can be as the three teenagers that endured fire and in doing so, caused an entire pagan nation to recognize God. Be strong, believer. God has not forgotten you, He is preparing you to teach the nations of unbelievers…Shalom
