God, "Is still in the Miracle Working business"
John 11:40 NKJ
40.Jesus said to her, Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?
The same God,
*who parted the Red Sea,
*turned water to wine,
*caused the walls of Jericho to fall, with a trumpet and a shout,
The same God who,
*healed the sick, by the thousands
*raised the dead multiple times,
*used a 17 yr. old boy to stir a nation
*still performs miracles today, on a regular basis.
However, some Christians doubt that God wants to work a miracle for them today.
They believe that there are miracles performed today, but that they are not for them.
Whatever there reasoning is, its not good reasoning.
They may say they not worthy, if youre a Christian, Jesus makes you worthy,
He is your worthiness!
Whatever they can come up with, as to why Healing is not for them, is in no way a match for the cross
and the finished work of Our Lord and Savior Jesus!
They can choose to disagree with the written word, but that doesn’t mean God is not still in the Healing Business TODAY!! Praise The Lord!!!
Whatever they think it is that unqualifies them, Jesus has already prequalified them in advance,
In fact He has over qualified them!
All that they have to do is let what He already did, take care of what they have already been set free from and just step into their miracle.
Oh there are a lot of Christians that talk a good game,
They come to church regularly, know their bible pretty good, hear the word and say all the right things Christians are suppose to say,
Its like they go to a great feast, have the finest table spread and a seven course meal of all meals set before them,
They see it right there in front of them, they can even smell the aroma from it, its even already been paid for in advance!
but they never partake of the meal,
They go away empty handed every time,
They dont even ask for a doggie bag for later, in case they change their mind later.
Oh they talk about how everything will be perfect one day in the sweet by and by.
When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be,
and it will be, but we dont have to wait until we get to Heaven to experience the goodness and the unmerited favor of God.
God wants us to know that He is still the God of miracles today, right here in the sweet now and now.
Its like the parable of the sower in Matt. 13:3-9 NKJ.
3.Behold, a sower went out to sow.
4. And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them.
5. Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth.
6. But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away.
7. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them.
8. But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
9. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
So many people go through the motions of Christianity, but never really take hold of what Jesus has made available to them.
We cant keep on continuing to be anything but good soil.
You know we hear the word, and how good God is and what He wants to do in and accomplish in our lives,
And it’s in one ear and right out the other it goes, oh we say we agree with it, but it never takes root,
It’s sad, because when it’s like that, it will never produce and yield the amazing benefits it was designed for!
We need to consistently strive to be good soil,
Gods word is sown into our lives over and over, if we let it take root it will produce amazing results in our lives like we cant even imagine.
Its hard to comprehend the power of believing what the Kingdom of God is capable of.
Because its what Hes capable of, not what were capable of, that makes it possible.
Martha was like one of those Christians were talking about.
She wondered if Jesus could perform a miracle when her brother Lazarus died.
Here she, had no doubt witnessed countless miracles as to what Jesus was capable of, but yet she wondered if He would do it for her.
She had heard the word and seen the word in action lots of times,
plenty of word had been sown in her circumstances and life.
Plenty of time had went by to as Vs. 7.
Says; And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them.
Her doubt had choked her belief to the point to were she didnt think it was possible for Jesus to save her brother.
By the time Jesus arrived on the scene, Lazarus had already been dead for four days. So she thought that Jesus was four days too late.
That is why she said, Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. (John 11:21)
And even when Jesus said that Lazarus would rise again, she said, I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day. (John 11:24)
Martha, like a lot of Christians, believed that Jesus could perform miracles in the past and would do the same in the future,
but she didnt believe that He could give her a miracle when she needed it right then and there in the present.
You see, Martha like a lot of others, was someone who lived wishing that the past could be changed and believing that the future would be better.
But she did not believe that the I Am was right there to meet her present need.
Now we know that Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead and did exactly as He said He would,
He always does, doesnt He.
As a matter of fact, I cant think of one instance, He hasnt been faithful to what He has said in the Word!!
And today, He stands ready if we will believe when we ask, to deliver the miracles we all need each and everyday of our lives.
Oh, and just because some folks dont believe and receive the miracles that God has for them,
doesnt mean that there not available to all who have enough faith to believe
Today, God stands at the point of your need.
What miracle do you need from Him?
Believe that He is still the same miracle-working God today.
Believe that the word that has been sown and is still being sown in your life, will take root and produce the return that God intended for it to!
Believe that you will see the glory of God in your life and you will,
working all things togather for your good.
Be good soil and the growth and results that God gives you will be nothing but Amazing!!
