Hebrews 11
1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
This morning I have a word from God that I am so excited about I can’t hardly stand it. There are sermons and there are messages. This morning I have a message for somebody in this church.
I want us to draw our attention to verse 3 of our opening scripture.
Notice the writer of Hebrews mentions two ingredients which framed this world we lived in .
The first is faith . Verse one without doubt tells us the definition of faith .
1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
The second thing mentioned in verse 3 is The Word of God.
Turn with me to Genesis chapter 1 verse 1 and let’s read a few scriptures.
Genesis 1
1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
6And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
So here we see the framing of this planet we know as earth by the spoken Word of God.
Let’s dwell there for just a second. The rivers, the mountains, the lush green valleys and the deep blue sea , every flower, every blade of grass , everything we see in nature . We drive miles to look at it. We pay money to enjoy it and it was all spoken into it’s very existence by God the Creator!
I ask right now that you think of the most beautiful and peaceful place you have ever been and think how the Word of God went forth and created that very place.
. And at this point ask yourself this question.
Is the Word of God framing my world?
Am I allowing Jesus, The Word of God to frame my world?
Or is my world being framed by negative people, negative circumstance and negative outlooks?
But I have good news this morning. My world can be framed this morning all over again no matter the condition of it now.
1. Verse 1 of our text.
1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Allow God to tear down the strongholds in your life right now. The things you see that are holding you back allow Jesus Christ to pull down those strong holds. It is time in the name of Jesus for those to be torn down and The Word of God to start framing your world!
Hebrews 11:8-10

8By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
9By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
10For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Somebody needs to just lift their hand now and let go like Abraham did and say I am going to soujourn in the land of promise! No longer am I going to stay in familiar territory of defeat but I am going to let Jesus frame my world.
The framing and the structure of my old life are passing away and behold all things are about to become new!
2. so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
1 Samuel 16:7-12

7But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
8Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.
9Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.
10Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The LORD hath not chosen these.
11And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.
12And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.
Nobody that day could see a king in David but God. Today Jesus Christ sees something in you that absolutely no one else is able to see.
In the statement “so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear“ we are talking about what Jesus Christ is able to create in our life not what we can create in our own creativity. .
Jesus specialty is taking nothing and creating something!
He took fisherman and tax collectors and turned them into preachers.
He took a few fishes and a little bread into a feast.
Jesus took plain old water and turned it into fine wine.
It is time to stop operating on what we see and time to operate on the power of Jesus and the Holy Ghost that worketh that power in us!
He can frame our world into a master piece.
3. The nature of a God built frame.
Two things that is essential to a house is the foundation and the frame. Whether it be a humble little cottage or the finest mansion they have two things in common. The foundation and the frame.
The house will fall without them . Everything in the house is dependant on the foundation and the frame.
When a storm comes through many times the only thing left is the foundation. When a fire devours a house the foundation remains.
Let’s talk just a minute about our foundation Jesus Christ, the chief corner stone of our faith.
Some of us have been through the storm! Some of us through the fire! Our frame work in life has been consumed but the master framer is ready to build on that foundation.
Luke 6:47-49

47Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
48He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
49But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
This morning The Word of God can frame our life .
This morning we can build on that foundation of Jesus Christ.
