Question: Do you see the miracle of the message?
Hebrews 1:1-3 "Long ago in many ways and at many times God's prophets spoke his message to our ancestors. But now at last, God sent his Son to bring his message to us. God created the universe by his Son, and everything will someday belong to the Son. God's Son has all the brightness of God's own glory and is like him in every way. By his own mighty word, he holds the universe together. After the Son had washed away our sins, he sat down at the right side of the glorious God in heaven." (CEV)
The miracle of the message is that God speaks to us today so that we can know Him and draw near to Him!
The Message Miracle:
1. God has been speaking throughout history.
Moses in the burning bush.
Israelites from the smoke and fire on the mountain.
Elijah in a still quiet voice.
And even through a donkey.
However, there was 400 years of silence.
Question: Do you understand the message of Jesus?
2. Christ is now bringing us that message! Vs. 3
John 14:9 "Jesus answered, "For a long time I have been with you all; yet you do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father." (GNT)
Question: Do you truly believe that message?
3. Is the Transforming Power of the Message!
1 Timothy 2:5-6 "For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity--the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time." (NLT)
Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (NIV)
