Summary: We cannot change what's going on around us most of the time, but we can change internally for the better so that we are better equipped to deal with external pressures.

TITLE: THE INTERNAL POWER TO FACE EXTERNAL PRESSURES

TEXT: 2COR. 4:1,7, 8-10, 15, 16-18

INTRO: Atmosphere of extreme mental,‑physical and spir. pressure. ‑Discouragement seems to come from all‑sides. The news, people,‑circumstances, and even demonaic‑attacks. People come home from work‑or school wore completely down having‑a complete lack of energy. Not from‑the work itself, but from the pressure‑upon them in todays society.

TRUTH: BELIEVERS DO NOT HAVE TO LOSE‑HEART!

2 Cor 4:1 (KJV) Therefore seeing we‑have this ministry, as we have‑received mercy, we faint not;

2 Cor 4:1 (AB) Therefore, since we do‑hold and engage in this ministry by‑the mercy of God [granting us favor,‑benefits, opportunityuies and‑especially salvation], we do not get‑discouraged - spiritless and‑despondent with fear, or become faint‑with weariness and exhaustion.

2 Cor 4:7 But we have this treasure in‑earthen vessels, that the excellency‑of the power may be of God, and not of‑us.

INTER: THE QUESTION IS HOW CAN WE AS‑BELIEVERS FACE ALL OF THE EXTERNAL‑PRESSURES OF TODAYS SOCIETY / KEEP‑FROM BEING DISCOURAGED?

TRANS: WE AVOID LOSING HEART IN OUR‑EXPERIENCE BECAUSE OF WHAT'S GOING ON‑INSIDE OF US!
