In the book of Revelation or the book of Unveiling, it is divided into three sections by the prophet John. First in chapter 1, “The things which were” or the things that you have seen. Second in Chapter 2-3, “The things which are” which deals with God’s message to the seven churches of the Western Asian province under Roman rule. Finally in last section, “the things which shall be” in chapters 4-22. Today the book reads almost as a commentary on the world in which we live today.
In this sequence of events, God is discussing a timeline from the current day (around 90 AD) looking back, looking at today and looking forward to the “end of days”.
Time is very important to God. God sent His Son in the first advent at the “fulness of time”. (Gal. 4:4) and will order Him to the earth for the second advent at a very specific time.
Mayan Calendar
The Great Cycle of the Mayan Long Count calendar ends on the winter solstice of 2012 A.D. Following Mayan concepts of cyclic time and World Age transitions, this is as much about beginnings as endings. In fact, it was considered by the ancient Mayans to signify the creation of a new World Age. We are almost at the end of the fifth and final 5,125 year cycle!
Signs in heavens?
Acts 2:18: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
Acts 2:19: And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke:
Acts 2:20: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:
If you look back at Biblical History, something significant has happened every 2000 years.
While scholars may debate and try to explain or deny it, it is a fact that biblical chronology describes about 6,000 years from Adam and Eve to the year A.D. 2000. The six creation days of Genesis were undoubtedly prophetic of a planned six "millennial days" of human history, followed by the seventh, or Sabbath, Millennium. "One day is with the Lord as a thousand years" (2 Peter 3:8). God did not require seven days to complete creation. He could have done it in a microsecond or less. The seven days were obviously prophetic, a picture of His planned 6,000-year history of man.
The right of "dominion" over the earth that God gave Adam in Genesis 1:28 was no doubt only a 6,000-year lease -- six millennial days -- the time period established for man’s rule. After the earth lease has expired and a possible transition period, Christ, the last Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45), will return and assume dominion of the earth as ruling King during the seventh Millennium, having legally purchased back the lease and dominion with His own blood. This would follow the 2,000 years when “God first visited the Gentiles (nations) to take out of them a people for His name" (Acts 15:14). The possible transition period would provide a cleansing of the earth, what we call the Tribulation. Solomon’s reign was a type of Millennium, and it began with a cleansing. Or, the transition might simply be a parenthetical period on God’s calendar between the sixth and seventh millennia.
Early Christian writers held that at the end of 6,000 years of history, Christ would return and reign for 1,000 years (referred to as the Millennium). These included Barnabas (c. A.D. 100), Justin Martyr and Irenaeus (c. A.D. 150), Lactantius (c. A.D. 325), and Methodius, Bishop of Tyre (c. A.D. 300).
For example, Barnabas wrote:
As there have been 2,000 years from Adam to Abraham, and
2,000 from Abraham to Christ; so there will be
2,000 years for the Christian era and then would come the Millennium."
(Some believe the 2,000 years of the Christian era are not modern 365.24-day years, but prophetic, or "God-years" of 360 days each, beginning with the year of Christ’s crucifixion, which scholars debate as from A.D. 30 to 33.
Church father Irenaeus wrote concerning a belief of the early church: "For the day of the Lord is as a thousand years; and in six days created things were completed; it is evident, therefore, that they will come to an end at the sixth thousand years."
Lactantius, tutor of the son of the Roman Emperor Constantine, stated in his Book of Divine Institutes, Chapter 14: "Let the philosophers know that the six thousandth year is not yet completed; and when this number is completed, the consummation must take place."
Later, in A.D. 1552, Bishop Latimer wrote: "The world was ordained to endure, as all learned men affirm, 6,000 years. Now of that number, there be passed 5,552 years (as of A.D. 1552), so that there is no more left but 448 years (ending in A.D. 2000)."
Christ died in 30-33 AD. Based on that projection 2033 would be the latest that Jesus could come.
At 4 PM on May 14, 1948, former prime minister of Israel, David Ben Gurion hoisted the Israeli flag, proclaiming Israel a free, sovereign and independent state. (2018 – 70 year generation) or (2038 – 100 year generation).
100 years: Genesis 15:12-16 where 400 years and 4 generations are both mentioned.
70 years: Psalm 90:10 says the average man’s life span is 70 years
Jesus Fulfills the Prophecy of Daniels 70 Weeks
Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate (Daniel 9:25-27).
The angel gives a breakdown of the 70 weeks as follows:
7 weeks of years for rebuilding of Jerusalem (verse 25)
62 weeks of years to the Messiah (verses 25-26)
1 week of years to the close of the period (verse 27)

The 70-week prophecy is a small part, was to begin at the command that effected the restoration of Jerusalem. This command went forth under King Artaxerxes Longimanus in the year 457 BC (Ezra 7:12-13).ii
From this starting point, we can determine all the other time markers of the prophecy.
Seven weeks were allotted for the restoration of Jerusalem. True to the prophecy, Jerusalem was rebuilt 49 years after 457 BC, which was 408 BC.
Another threescore and two weeks (62 weeks or 434 day-years) brings us to "the Messiah the Prince” which is 27 AD (allowing for the conversion from BC to AD being one extra year).
IT CLEARLY TELLS US AFTER THE 62 WEEKS, MESSIAH WILL BE CUT OFF
WHICH LEAVES ONE WEEK, WHAT HAPPENED TO IT? 7 years of tribulation

THERE IS ORDER AND TIMELINESS TO EVERYTHING GOD DOES IN HIS CREATION AND TRUST ME, TIME IS RUNNING OUT! THESE FIGURES ARE AT THE VERY LATEST POSSIBLE TIME BUT JESUS REITERATES THAT HE IS COMING SOON SO I DON’T BELIEVE THAT HE’S GOING TO WAIT TO THE LAST POSSIBLE MOMENT.
There are two different views on time:
1) Realist: Newton said that time is linear and part of the very fabric of the universe.
2) Surreal: In this perspective, God created an illusion of time for the benefit of man. This view says that time is not a real objective system that can be accurately and definitively measured.
Regarding Time man views and perceives it differently:
1) Fatalistic View: God has ordained everything in the world and whatever will be will be. One who lives their lives by this philosophy lives complacent and passive lives because based on this perspective, their actions or prayers cannot change a thing.
2) Spiritualistic View: We must do all that we can to make a difference while we can or by Jesus words: 1) Occupy until I come; and, 2) Work while it is light because the dark time comes when no man can work.

New terrors being discovered every day such as Super Volcanoes that make the story of Revelation much more realistic and believable. These Super Volcanoes are capable of creating Nuclear Winter as referenced by Greg Breining.
Beneath Yellowstone lies an immense super-volcano.
Should a volcanic eruption occur, it would almost certainly result in nuclear winter and an immense loss of life.
A normal volcano occurs when pressure beneath the earth builds and is periodically released via eruption. Over time, these eruptions form a cone. The caldera is the opening at the center of the volcanic cone through which magma is released.
A super-volcano, however, has no cone through which magma is directed. The caldera of a super-volcano is merely a massive depression within the Earth’s crust. Like a normal volcano, magma will build beneath the crust until the pressure must be released. The caldera of a super-volcano, however, is much larger than that of a normal volcano and capable of releasing over a trillion tons of magma when it erupts, resulting in a nuclear winter for the Earth’s inhabitants.
Modern science has discovered evidence of past supervolcanos in the following areas of the world:
Yellowstone National Park in the U.S.
The Grampian Mountains of Scotland
Sumatra, Indonesia
Idaho in the U.S.
Colorado in the U.S.
Lake Taupo in New Zealand
Island Park on the Wyoming/Idaho border in the U.S.
Whakamaru in New Zealand.
Rain Increases in Israel Desert land.
The Upper Galilee and the Golan Heights saw heavy rain all day on Wednesday, bringing the water flow in the Jordan River and its tributaries to volumes that hadn’t been seen in many years, and drawing visitors to the north. And all this was a day after the south of the country, which is semi-desert if you’ll remember, was breaking records with the downpours that were saturating everything in sight. Add to this the fact that Mount Hermon is now covered with a thin blanket of snow, not enough for skiers yet, but getting there, and desalination plants coming into operation at a steady rate and it would seem that a solution to our water problems is probably closer than we think. GN doesn’t come better than that.
Drought in neighboring region Iraq
Drying Up of Euphrates River is already under way (will not completely dry up til Rev. 16) to make way for the King of the East and the 2,000,000 man army (Rev. 9:14-16)
Drought is setting in Iraq. For the last two years, rainfall has been reported to be "far below normal." Some areas are reporting 95% below-normal rainfall this year. In Iraq droughts are not rare but with the Euphrates drying up, farmers are worried.
Incredibly today, the Euphrates River is literally now able to be completely "dried up" as predicted for the End Times. This is because of the $32 billion Anatolia Dam Project in southeastern Turkey which began in the late 1980’s & is projected to be completed by 2010. [see below]
Any 1of the 22 dams already being built have the capability of literally "drying up" the Euphrates River & allowing China to cross into "Armaggedon", as the Bible predicts for the End Times.

Mr. Joda, a native of Basra, came to Karbala in 2004 to fish and raise water buffaloes in the lush wetlands that reminded him of his home.
For those who debate the 2,000,000 man army
Hal Lindsey stated in his book "The Late Great Planet Earth" (p. 86):
We believe that China is the beginning of the formation of this great power called ’the kings of the east by the apostle John… In fact, a recent television documentary on Red China …quoted the boast of the Chinese themselves that they could field a ’people’s army’ of 200 million militiamen. In their own boast they named the same number as the Biblical prediction.
Another point to consider is that it mentions the KINGS OF THE EAST and having done an extensive search on world beginnings in genealogies, I am confident that in the Scripture Tubal is Tibet (Modern Day China) and Rosh is Russia.
It has been long known that they have a military alliance that if you attack one, you will attack the other.
Russia has been prophesied about by many that they will return to their anti-semitism and anti-God philosophy and Communism making it open to the gospel for only a short time. Accordingly, Russia and China will at some point rise up to widen their beliefs in a geopolitical context.
They will travel by land …
Proponents of the Hal Lindsey notion could point to the "Silk Road" that runs from China, skirting past India and going through the mighty Himalayas. Of course, to do so would mean travelling through parts of the old Soviet central Asian republics. Such a route is not exactly going through friendly territory for China.
Those who have looked into this route and the logistical requirments for transporting such a large army have said that China doesn’t have enough vehicles or aircraft to accomplish this goal and that is why, the army will be a combination of Russian and China men PLUS land vehicles, aircraft and horses from both armies will be used to accomplish their military goals.
China has been working on anti-satellite technology for a long time and the only thing necessary that would need to happen to reduce the fight to an archaic foot soldier war would be for them to shoot down a modern nations military satellites!
Which answers the question, why horses are mentioned in the book of Revelation and how from the center of the battle (Armageddon) Blood will flow around its parameter 180-200 miles as high as a horses bridle from the blood of both horses and soldiers.

Daniel 7:25: And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
