19 ¶ And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.
20 And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him.
21 And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.
22 So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.
I know somebody hearing this message right now, you are in a make or break situation.
Somebody I’m talking to right now needs a miracle, and I’m not talking about a year from now miracle or a six months from now miracle, or even a week from now, miracle.
I’m talking about a right now miracle, I’m talking about an overnight kind of miracle.
I’m trying to get to the message, but I just have to stop right here and prophesy some overnight turnarounds.
Some divine reversals.
Somebody needs a divine reversal in a court case, you need God to turn that thing around (the bible says the heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord, and he turns it whichever direction he chooses). God can turn the heart of that Judge.
Somebody else needs a turnaround in your finances, and you need it now.
Somebody else needs God to deliver your marriage; it’s headed for the rocks.
But tonight, God is going to establish it on the Rock.
I’m trying to preach but this prophetic unction is strong right now.
God is the God of turn around.
Divine reversal
Turning curses into blessing (that’s his business).
Overnight God can turn that thing around, overnight God can turn that curse into a blessing.
David went from a nobody an unknown, on the backside of nowhere, doing a job nobody wanted to do, to a somebody who was known all over Israel as the shepherd boy who killed a giant.
He was front-page news.
Joseph went from the pit to the palace, from the prison to a prince (overnight)
Saul went from a donkey fetcher to a king (overnight) one day he’s chasing his father’s donkeys and the next he’s king over Israel.
Overnight: that tells me that while they were sleeping God was working.
While they were sleeping God was keeping somebody up talking to them about them, and while they were sleeping God had somebody up working, getting things in order so they would be ready for them when they got there.
I don’t know who I’m talking to, but I’m talking to somebody tonight who has been praying and asking God and seeking God for something and you haven’t seen any evidence of any change.
But I’m came to this house to prophesy to you and tell you that God has been working on it.
It’s in process.
Let me say it like this: It’s in transit, It’s on it’s way.
Sometimes I go online and order something, I pay for it with the credit card.
It’s mine the instant I pay for it, but I have to wait a couple of days for it to show up or manifest in my mailbox.
God said to tell somebody, it’s yours already, and it’s just about to show up in your mailbox, (you’re getting ready to see a manifestation)
My God there’s a turnaround anointing in this place right now and I haven’t even started preaching yet.
I’m prophesying to somebody who has the faith to believe it:
Somebody’s getting ready to step into some prepared blessings, I know you can’t see it right now, but just over the hill there’s a blessing waiting for you, just around the corner there’s some glory coming out of this trial.
Right after the greatest battle of Jonathon’s life he came to a place where honey was falling out of the trees, covering the ground, and all he had to do was reach out and take it.
I prophesy to you tonight, that God is reversing the curse (somebody is going to go home and find the atmosphere has changed).
Somebody is going to go to the doctor and the doctor’s report is going to be different, they’re going to say (we saw it, we know it was there but it’s gone).
Somebody’s going to get a yes on the same loan they said no on.
Somebody has money that is suppose to be coming to you, and it’s been held up, but it’s being released right now in the name of Jesus.
I am prophesying right now to anyone who hears this message (divine reversals) turn arounds.
In our text the men of the city come to Elisha the prophet and they say
*We have a problem (In essence this is what they were saying)
From the outside everything looks pretty but we have a problem.
I want to get to the blessing but we can’t just skip over this
(We have a problem)
How long are we going to keep going around the same mountain, fighting the same battles, struggling with the same addictions, wrestling with the same fleshly lusts and desires, falling down at the same place over and over again, giving into the same temptations again and again before we are willing to admit we have a problem?
If you can’t look at a pretty woman without lusts rising up in your heart you have a problem.
Or women if you can’t look at a handsome man without lust rising up in your heart you have a problem.
If you can’t see somebody else blessed with something nicer than what you have without becoming jealous and critical and envious, then you have a problem.
If every time things don’t go your way you run to the fridge and gorge yourself, you have a problem.
If you still get angry and resentful and hold a grudge every time somebody says something about you or disagrees with you, you’ve got a problem.
If your car can’t drive past the casino without turning into the parking lot, you have a problem.
If you can’t get on the computer without logging onto a porno site, you have a problem.
My question is: How long are we going to put up with attitudes, addictions, hang-ups, and lusts of the flesh that are self destructive, and in absolute disagreement with the word of God, before we holler (Help Lord, I have a problem?).
The only problem that is unsolvable, unfixable, and incurable, is the one you will not admit to having.
The first major step to a turnaround and a breakthrough for you and I and for these men was: they recognized and admitted they had a problem.
Next: (They took their problem to the right place).
I’m not opposed to AA or drug rehab, or anger management, or marriage counseling, or stress reduction classes.
But all these are just Band-Aids applied to the surface, in themselves they are not enough, (they don’t go deep enough, they deal with the fruit but not the root)
The only power that can change the root is the power of God.
They took their problem to the right place: You have to know where to go when you have a problem. You don’t take your car to the dentist to get it fixed, and you don’t ask a plumber to fix your teeth, and you don’t want a janitor operating on your brain.
They may all be nice people, but there’s a right person for the job, and you got to go to the right person.
You may have good friends but I don’t care how good a friend they are, you are not going to get the deliverance you need sounding out your problems to people who are struggling with the same problems you are dealing with.
David said: when my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to that rock that is (higher) than I.
When you’re in a fight, in a struggle wrestling with an Issue, whether it’s spiritual, financial, emotional, or sexual, whether it’s an addiction or a bondage or a habit.
You better go to someone that is higher than you, (in other words, someone who has that under their feet, someone who is not wallowing in the same mess) you need someone who can show you what it looks like to be free.
Tell your neighbor: take it to the rock, Now tell you’re other neighbor (I go to the rock).
They said to the prophet: This place is pretty, we like the neighborhood, it sets in a nice place, we like the view.
From all outward appearances it’s all good.
But the water is naught, the water is cursed, it carries some kind of poison in it and it is making the ground barren.
In other words: (It’s killing our future).
Note: It was not killing the men or the women, or even the trees, it was killing the fruit.
Thank God for some men in the city who wanted more than pretty, they wanted purity and power.
They were more concerned about being good, than just looking good.
The living bible said: The water was causing the women to miscarry.
That means, nothing was being carried to full term.
Nothing was being birthed.
I’m going to stop here for a minute and talk to some of Gods people today that have let something into your heart and it has poisoned the life stream.
You’ve become unproductive, your life has become barren, you have no joy, no peace, you have no passion for life, you’re full of bitterness and anger and resentment and unforgiveness.
You’ve let envy and jealousy and strife creep into your heart, and now even when something good does happen or something good is initiated, it ends up drying up and dying because your life stream is poisoned.
Pro 4:23 Keep (Guard) your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues, (or streams) of life.
Until you get that out of your heart your life is going to be barren, you will poison every relationship, every endeavor will be fruitless, you will make people miserable, nobody will want to be around you.
You will poison your ministry, and everything you say and do will carry the toxin of the poison in your heart.
You will become a dream killer, you will find yourself resenting anyone who has a dream or destiny over their lives.
I want to get to the blessing but first we have to deal with the curse, the problem.
The biggest problem we have is we want to blame everybody else, we want to blame it on the preacher, or on the boss, or on the wife or the husband or the rebellious kids, or all those hypocrites in the church.
We want to blame it on our environment, where we were born, what we didn’t have, what we couldn’t do.
I know that we all have things we could complain about, but there is no change, and no deliverance until we admit. (The Problem is me).
It’s not my brother or my sister but it’s me O lord, standing in the need of prayer.
These men said: Everything around us is not the problem, (it’s in the stream) it’s the bitter waters that are cursing the ground.
And we are losing are future, No babies are being born,
These men made a decision that day to fight for their future, to fight for their destiny, to fight for their families, to fight for their sons and daughters.
Their seed was being destroyed: One of the devils greatest fears is that you will become who you are destined to be, and do what you are destined to do.
You have a divine D.N.A. that was put in you before you were ever born, and everytime the devil looks at you (he see’s the potential you of your destiny).
The devil believes in you more than you believe in yourself.
The devil is afraid of that seed you carry, that potential to become.
(that divine d.n.a.) he wants to kill the seed before it’s ever born.
He’s a dream killer.
Joseph carried in him the seed of greatness in dream form.
The Dream Seed
His brothers sought to kill him, not because of who he was, but of who they were afraid he would become.
Gen 37:19-20
They said we will slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we’ll say an evil beast hath devoured him, then we shall see what will become of his dreams.
It was not Joseph the little brother they feared, it was Joseph the dreamer they feared.
*The men of the city said: this is not right we do not accept it.
It is not normal and we are not satisfied just to be in a pretty place and watch our destiny being stripped away from us.
They decided their future was worth fighting for:
I wonder how many listening to this message, believes your future is worth fighting for?
How many are willing to fight for your children to be delivered from the hand of the enemy, fight for the destiny of your grand children?
Fight for your marriage, fight for your health, fight for your ministry, fight for your dreams.
Come on somebody: I’m trying to tell you, if you want it you are going to have to fight for it.
The devil ain’t gonna’ sit back and watch you waltz into your destiny without a fight.
Those sons and daughters, and grandchildren, (young prophets and prophetesses, apostles and pastors teachers and evangelists) are not going to walk into their callings without somebody fighting for them.
There are so many believers today who have lost their fight, lost their fire, lost their passion.
They’ve settled down, they’re satisfied just to know their saved and not going to hell, they don’t care about anybody else.
They’ve become barren, unproductive, sterile, and unable to reproduce.
No spiritual births, no groanings no travailings, no birth pains, no power to heal the sick or cast out devils or deliver the bound and the oppressed.
These men recognized the problem and made a choice for change.
I just believe somebody tonight is making a choice for change.
Somebody is choosing change.
Tell your neighbor: I choose change.
*To reverse the curse it must become a source of grief to you.
As long as you are willing to put up with it, you will have it.
Remember Hannah? She was satisfied just to be the favored wife of Elkanah.
Favored but fruitless, blessed but barren.
Until Elkanah’s other wife Peninnah began to provoke her over her barrenness.
At first it was just an agitation, and small irritation, but it continued, until it reached a place of grief and vexation and she cried out to God to be delivered of her curse.
In bible days, it was considered a curse for a woman to be barren.
She came to the man of God, and cried out to be delivered, and
God delivered her from her barrenness, he opened her womb, he reversed the curse.
*You must embrace the word of God as the final authority.
The prophet represents the Word of God.
The word of God is the word of Blessing.
The curse may be in fact very real; you may have been laboring under a curse all your life.
There are all kinds of curses.
There’s the curse of sickness and disease, the curse of poverty and lack, where no matter what you do or how hard you work, you just can’t get out of debt. There’s the curse of drug addiction or alcoholism, the curse of fear.
There are generational curses that run through generations like the curse of divorce, where it seems like as far back as you can go in your family line every marriage ended in divorce.
There’s the curse of witchcraft, where others operating under the power of satan pronounce dark sayings, and pronounce evil over your life.
There may be a thousand different curses, but there is only one cure.
It’s the universal cure, it cures every curse big or small.
It’s the blessing.
The blessing is greater than the curse.
I came to tell somebody: I don’t care what kind of curse has been over your life, or how long it’s been there, it doesn’t matter if it’s come down through 1,2, or 3 generations.
The blessing is greater than the curse.
The bible tells the story about a backslidden prophet who hired himself out to put a curse of the children of Israel (the children of God).
Nu 22:6 Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed.
Num 22:41 And it came to pass on the morrow, that Balak took Balaam, and brought him up into (the high places of Baal,) that thence he might see the utmost part of the people.
Num 23:1-2 And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams.
2 And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram.
Balaam had every intention of cursing the children of Israel and he made every effort, He just couldn’t make it stick.
Three different times he went through his program, and set up his altars and made his sacrifices in an effort to curse Gods people.
Duet 23:5 They hired against thee Baalam to curse thee, nevertheless the Lord would not hearken to Baalam but the Lord thy God turned the curse into a blessing.
Num 23:11 And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.
I’m closing tonight, and I’m closing by telling you: tonight there is a divine reversal taking place.
Curses are being broken
Decisions are being overturned.
God is reversing the curse.
Some curses are generational and come down to us because of the sins of our fathers, but there are some curses that come to us through our disobedience, and then there are curses that are the product of satanic conspiracy and design.
And many of Gods people have been laboring under a curse, but tonight the men of the city have come to the right place.
There is a blessing in this house and his name is Jesus.
Jesus is not just the blesser, he is the blessing.
And the blessing is greater than any curse.
When that salt came into contact with those cursed waters, the curse had to go.
(The salt is symbolic of the Christ life) the spirit and the power of God.
And out of the same place from where death emanated, life began to flow, and the bible says the waters were healed from that day forward.
I don’t know who this is for tonight: But God said to tell you, this is your day for divine reversal.
The curse is being turned into a blessing.
What the devil meant for evil, God is making it work for your good.
That same place that was known as the fount of bitter waters, became known as the fount of blessings, and it became a blessing to every plant, every tree, every thirsty traveler.
And from the same place where there was hopelessness and despair, and death, came joy and peace and life.
Somebody tonight: You have experienced the curse of bitter waters, (I don’t know what form that curse has taken in your life.
But I know this: The blessing is greater, and God is wanting to set you free, and heal those waters tonight, and turn it around and make your life a blessing.
I know it hard to believe some times, how God can take those hard places in your life, and those bitter places, and cause them to be a source of hope and faith, but it’s happening right now.
The Power of The blessing is moving into those areas right now In Jesus Name.
