Today in a world that has lost its absolutes that cannot distinguish between right and wrong, good and evil; God still has a message for world today. It is a timeless message.
Isaiah 55:6 - 11 (NKJV) 6 Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. 7Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. 8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. 10“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, 11So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Many today want to write off the Word of God as an old book of antiquities relating only to the ancient times of the past, not fitting into our new age of knowledge, technology, and space age.
But mark well the words of Isaiah in our text: Isaiah 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
The Word of God brings a Vital Hope, in these days of fear of the future. As many try to figure what the future holds. With upcoming elections, economic changes, situations arising in nations around the world; with changes happening around the world, some good, some not so good. However we serve a God who does not change, nor does His Word.
Heb 13:8 (NKJV) 8Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
1 Cor 15:28 (NKJV) 28Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.
The word vital means: necessary, essential, important, critical, indispensable. Only through an active, living relationship with Jesus Christ can we experience true hop, joy and peace.
God’s plan revealed throughout His Word will be totally completed. The Word of God is not a dream or fairy tale. It is the expressed Will of God, poured out through the great prophets of God throughout the ages. If we ever needed to hold on the Word of God, it is in this hour that we are living in. As we approach one of the greatest times of harvest, as God is making ready His Church for a last day outpouring of His Holy Spirit, before the rapture of the church.
The Word of God reveals God’s love for mankind and His plan for the ages to bring salvation to them through His only begotten Son, a vital message of hope and restoration.
I our walk with the Lord we must never forget the great cost of our salvation. Jesus the sinless one poured out himself for us; that we might be saved.
Our hope comes from the central message of the Word of God.
John 3:16 - 17 (NKJV) 16For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
We need to be reminded regularly!! Jesus came to die for sinners. Jesus came to die for our sins and the sins of the world. Jesus came to die for the sins of all of our unsaved loved loves. Jesus came to die for our co-workers.
Only through His sinless, shed blood can we be saved, healed and delivered.
In a day when our world continues to look to psychic’s, soothsayers, fortunetellers etc.; I want you to know it’s still the shed blood of Jesus Christ that makes the difference, His power has not diminish.
But it doesn’t stop there. He not only die for our sins. He arose victoriously over death, hell and the grave. It there our victory is sealed when we place our faith in Him and Him alone.
Praise God it doesn’t stop there either. Because He die, arose and ascended to heaven, Jesus said He would come again.
John 14:3 (NKJV) 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
The angels attested to it: Acts 1:9 - 11 (NKJV) 9Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”
Our hope, our vital hope is sealed in the risen, living and soon coming Savior, Jesus Christ.
