Make the Decree!
Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. Job 22:28
Brethren, I want to lead you to pray probably the way you have not prayed before. I want you to pray as one that has authority. The name of Jesus has been given to you; the word of God is in your mouth and I want you to use these two weapons to disarm the devil in your life. I want you to make decrees against whatever is unwanted in your life.
What is a decree? A decree is an authoritative order or decision to which people have to comply. “Where the word of the king is, there is power and who may say unto him, what doest thou? (Ecclesiastes 8:7). When we issue our decrees, they cannot be challenged by any court of law. Job 22:28 which was quoted earlier says, “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.”
The Bible also says, ‘If any of you shall say to the mountain: Be thou removed and cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he said shall come to pass; he shall have whatever he saith (Matthew 11:23)’. You need to issue decrees against some powers today. God has a lot to do in your life today.
WHAT TO DECREE AGAINST
There are several things to make decrees against. I will only show you one or two and then allow you to build up your own list:
There are spirits that work to ensure people die before their time; they kill businesses, careers, marriages etc. They are called the spirit of household wickedness. Make decree against the operations of these spirits in your life. The operation of the spirit of envy that makes children of the same family to kill one another must be terminated in your family today. Decree today, that every spirit of household wickedness that is after your life should be destroyed by God’s power in Jesus name.
Many people see good things only from a distance. They see others enjoying and wished they could enjoy too but it never happens in their life. The spirit of ‘see but not taste’ must be dealt with today. Every spirit that brings failure at the edge of success must be destroyed. Decree now: Father, in the name of Jesus, I decree that every spirit that brings failure at the edge of success in my life, be destroyed by fire. Every witchcraft power working at the edge of my breakthroughs in my life is destroyed in Jesus name.
Now, I want you to examine your life and situation and identify the areas where you would want the Lord to touch you. Look at your family; see the pattern of things and events in your family; if you identify any area where there is an evil pattern, begin to reject it now by issuing decrees.
There is no bondage that can defeat the power of God. There is no situation that can disgrace the authority of God. It is written, ‘Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways’, why not begin to make decrees against everything the devil is using against your career, promotion, marriage, fruitfulness, health etc.
You know what? I want you to go over the list you have made up and pray with increased aggression against the devil and his cohorts. As you pray, I see the light of God breaking forth upon your ways in Jesus name. Congratulations!
