FIVE WAYS TO PLEASE GOD
1st John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
1. Be Dedicated to Him
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Surrender yourself to God
Yield all your hopes, plans, desires
Both past present and future to him
Psalms 37:5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
In Luke 22;42 Christ prayed not my will but thine be done.
We to must surrender to him
2. Be Dependent bon Him
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
To depend means to trust and rely on the Lord.
People fail and disappoint us, but Christ never will.
When we depend on God we can accomplish things for him.
Faith enables us to believe he is working.
3.Be Delighted in Him
Psalms 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Rejoice in the Lord
God adds blessings when we do
It displeased God when we are drab negative Christians
Delighting ourselves in the Lord enables us to win.
And win others to him.
The joy of the Lord is attractive to those who are searching.
Phil.4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
4. Be Directed by Him
Proverbs3:6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Directed by God he is leading us where we need to be
Right places right people
Right purpose in our lives
God directs us according to our faith
Faith pleases him Miracles happen
Follow the Spirit to victory
5.Be Dynamic for Him
Luke 14:23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
We are his witness
Bring the lost to saving grace
And knowledge of his word
When we work for him he works for us
We receive what we ask of him.
