Before I ever start Preaching I am going to Prophesy first, and tell you that someone hearing this message whether live or by cd, or podcast or even in the written form, God is getting ready to do something so powerful and so awesome in your life, that you wouldn�t believe it if I told you.
In fact the Lord said: Tell my people I am getting ready to release some ridiculous blessings into their lives.
So I prophesy to you right now that God is going to send some ridiculous blessings into your life.
Ridiculous = (absurd) (outrageous) (ludicrous) (unbelievable) (laughable)
God is getting ready to bless you in such a ridiculous way that if I told you right now, it would sound so crazy and outrageous and unbelievable to you that you would probably fall over laughing.
Ask your neighbor: Can you handle a ridiculous blessing?
There are blessings, then there are great blessings, then there are ridiculous blessings.
I just wonder is there anyone in this house who is ready for a ridiculous blessing?
Luke 5:1-9
1 And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,
(Let me stop right there, for somebody that�s the word you needed, if you didn�t hear anything else in this message you got enough to get you through whatever you�re going through.
(And it came to pass)
It didn�t come to stay, it came to pass (I don�t care what you�re going through, the Lord told me to tell you, it�s temporary, it�s not eternal.
No storm lasts forever, the wind will quit blowing, the rain will stop and the sun will shine again.
Before you ever went into that trial, God already marked on his calendar when it would end.
(Tell your neighbor: It won�t be long now)
Then it says: They pressed upon him to hear the Word of God
The most important thing in your life is the Word of God, The answer to every problem in your life will come from the Word of God.
Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
That is why it is so important where you go to church and the preaching and teaching you are sitting under.
Your life depends on the Word that you are hearing.
Not every church preaches divine healing, not every church preaches biblical prosperity, and not every church preaches the baptism of the Holy Ghost and the gifts of the spirit.
You need to be in a church where the uncompromising Word of God is preached in the Power of The Holy Ghost without fear or favor.
*And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
When I read this I thought of all the Ministers that for one reason or another have left the ministry, they have left their pulpits and basically said I�m done.
First of all ministry is not an easy thing, to desire ministry is to choose a difficult life, the rewards are many but there is also a lot of pain and heartache.
If you are going to be in ministry (you need a tough hide and a soft heart)
I want to speak specifically to men and women of God who are in ministry right now but for one reason or another you have become discouraged, and you are at the point right now of throwing in the towel, I�m not talking about turning your back on God, Just getting out of ministry
(maybe people have hurt you, maybe you�ve been lied on, and stabbed in the back, people have taken advantage of you, maybe you just feel like nothing you are doing is working, you feel like your banging your head against the wall.
I just came to tell you: Don�t quit, don�t leave, don�t walk away from what you know God has called you to do.
Jesus never said it would be easy, (he said count the cost)
There is a blessing waiting just around the corner, just over the next hill God has something prepared for you that will make it worth it all.
I�m talking about a ridiculous blessing.
Be not weary in well doing, for in due season ye shall reap if ye faint not.
3 (And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon�s,) and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
*Now the Word is not just on the sea shore speaking, Now the word has entered Peters boat.
It�s one thing to hear the word and it�s another thing to get the word in your heart.
It�s not the word you hear preached, it�s not even the word that�s in the bible that changes your life, it�s the word that gets in your heart.
Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee
It has to get in your heart, The word is the seed that God uses to bring every blessing into your life.
Whatever it is, Healing, Prosperity, Deliverance, Promotion, Greater anointing, Household salvation, It all comes through the word of God.
But we have to go a step further: It�s not enough just to have the Word in your heart
(You must be a doer of the word)
To be a hearer of the word, and not a doer is to deceive yourself (James 1:22)
The bible even goes so far as to call the person who hears the word and does not do it
(a fool)
Matt 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
The wise men hears the word, and does it (The foolish man hears the same word, but does not do it)
Peter could have sailed all over that lake with the incarnate word of God in his boat and nothing would have changed.
He could have even heard every word he said, and still his boat and his nets would have never been filled with fish
He Had To Obey The Word
I�m preaching about a ridiculous blessing:
But I can�t just tell you about the blessing, I�ve got to show you how to get in position to receive it.
Somebody tonight is like Peter was on that day ( you�re looking at an empty boat, empty nets, what ya catch peter NOTHING ! What you got peter NOTHING!
It�s one thing to have something, and another thing entirely to have NOTHING!
Something is: It�s not the job I wanted but at least I�m working
Something is: it�s not the house I wanted but at least I have a roof over my head
Something is: It�s not the relationship that I dreamed of, but at least I got somebody
Something is: It�s not the income I want, I barely get the bills paid, I never have anything left over, but it�s something.
Something is: It�s not the ministry I feel called to but it�s something
Then there�s nothing:
Nothing in the bank account, Nothing in the wallet,
No relationship with that special someone,
No ministry opportunities
No Job, homeless
Nothing is working out, it feels like you�re swimming in quicksand (the harder you fight the lower you sink).
Peter said: We have toiled = (labored, worked hard all night and have taken , caught, gained, NOTHING!
You may have been in a night season, you may be in a night season right now,
A season of sorrow, a season of emptiness, a season of confusion and great struggle with nothing to show for it ( but if you will believe this man of God, I prophesy to you that the season is getting ready to change)
I just stopped by to tell somebody: Weeping may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Slap your neighbor high five and tell them: Morning cometh
Now tell them: Joy cometh
I came to tell somebody your one word away from your breakthrough, one word away from your miracle. (One word away from A RIDICULOUS blessing)
Tell your neighbor: Hold on, I feel a change coming
I don�t know how he�s going to do it, but I prophesy to you (God is going to turn it around)
What the devil meant for evil, God is going to make it work for your good
I heard the lord say: All things work together for the good to them who love the lord, and who are the called according to his purpose.
Somebody is getting ready to step into the realm of the miraculous; Somebody is getting ready to go into overflow
I feel an anointing for a ridiculous blessing in this house
I don�t know who I�m talking to, but somebody is on the verge of a net breaking boat sinking miracle.
Somebody tonight: You�ve been holding on to a word from God for a long time, You�ve heard the word, you�ve believed the word, you�ve confessed the word and still your boat is empty, and you�ve been tempted to give up, and turn the switch of faith off.
Like Peter: You�ve fished all night and caught nothing. You�ve worked hard and done everything you know how to do, You prayed and you�ve fasted, and still there�s been no manifestation.
But I came to tell you don�t give up, your standing on the brink of a miracle, don�t give into feelings, don�t give into logic.
You�re one word away from your miracle
*Peter Launch out into the deep
Peter obeys and pushes out into deep water
*Peter let down your nets for a draught
Peter didn�t have any problem with paddling out into deeper water
But When Jesus said: LET DOWN YOUR NETS FOR A DRAUGHT
The fight was on:
(Feeling Versus Faith) (Reason Versus Faith) (Logic Versus Faith)
(Past Experiences Versus Faith) (Disappointment and failures all testify to Peters senses.)
And he argues with the Lord: He says (Master we have fished all night and have taken Nothing)
What Peter was saying in so many words was: THAT�S RIDICULOUS
What Peter was saying in a nice way was (Lord, I know that you are the Son of God, and I know that you can cast out devils and heal the sick and raise the dead)
But you don�t know nothing about fishing, (Anybody that knows anything about fishing knows, you don�t fish with a net during the daytime the fish will see your net).
Tell your neighbor: If you want a ridiculous blessing, you have to obey a ridiculous instruction.
Now tell your other neighbor: If you want a ridiculous blessing, you have to be willing to look ridiculous.
2 Ki 4:1-7 Tells the story of a little widow who�s husband died and left her in debt, they were coming to take her sons to make them bondmen to pay off the debt, She received an instruction from the prophet: To borrow empty vessels not a few, then take her little pot of oil and pour into those vessels.
How (ridiculous) it must have looked for a widow woman and her two sons, to be running all over town, borrowing empty vessels.
What are you going to do with them? (I�m going to fill them full of oil) where you getting the oil?
Well I got a little pot of cooking oil up in the cabinet (That�s ridiculous) a little pot of cooking oil won�t fill up these jars.
But The little woman, obeyed a (ridiculous instruction) from the prophet of God, and she stepped into a (ridiculous blessing) she filled up every single pot, she got out of debt and lived the rest of her life off the overflow.
What about Naaman?
He comes to the Prophet to get healed, (he had it all figured out how he would get his healing) The man of God will come out and wave his hand over the place, I�ll give him some money and go home,
But the Prophet doesn�t come out and wave his hand over him, (in fact he sends his servant out to him, and says if you want to be well go dip in Jordan 7 times)
Naaman becomes furious: That�s ridiculous
How could dipping 7 times in a puny muddy river get me healed.
He protests, There are big clean rivers where I came from, I didn�t need to come down here to get in your mud puddle to get healed.
And he almost lets his pride rob him of his miracle:
But he obeys a ridiculous instruction from the man of God, and starts dipping in Jordan
What are you doing out there in that mud puddle Naaman: I�m getting healed (That�s ridiculous)
When Naaman was willing to look ridiculous and obeyed a ridiculous instruction he received a ridiculous blessing.
On the seventh time his flesh came again like the flesh of a little child and he was clean.
Is there anybody ready to receive a ridiculous blessing?
Finally Peter gives in and says: Nevertheless at thy word, I will let down the net.
Peter made up his mind ( I may look ridiculous, and all my friends may think I�ve lost my mind) but I�m going to obey the lord, even though it sounds ridiculous to me.
And when they had this done they enclosed a multitude of fish
And the bible said: the nets were at the point of breaking and the boat was heavy in the water near sinking.
And there were so many fish that Peter had to call for his partners to come out and help him and their nets were filled to the point of breaking and their boat also was near sinking.
When Peter obeyed a ridiculous instruction it released a ridiculous blessing into his life.
The only thing standing between you and your miracle is an act of obedience.
Some of you have your miracle on hold right now because you haven�t done what God has told you to do.
You can pray and you can fast, you can sow, and you can cry and nothing is going to change till you do it.
Whatsoever he saith unto you (do it)
Peters obedience to a ridiculous instruction launched him into a such a ridiculous blessing that he couldn�t contain it all,
In other words Somebody got blessed that wouldn�t have got blessed if peter hadn�t obeyed.
Ask your neighbor: Are you holding up my blessing
In one act of obedience to a ridiculous instruction: Peter went from Nothing to TOO MUCH.
A ridiculous blessing is a too much blessing.
Is there anybody ready for a too much blessing?
Malachi says: I will open up the windows of heaven and pour you out blessings that there will not be room enough to receive it.
Is somebody ready to go from nothing to too much?
Peter went from empty boats, empty nets, to a net breaking, boat sinking ridiculous blessing in one act of obedience.
I don�t know what the Lord is telling you to do, and it may sound ridiculous,
But on the other side of that ridiculous instruction is a ridiculous blessing.
I�m going to do something right now that may seem ridiculous to you.
I have this anointing oil, and it�s designated (anointing for ridiculous blessings)
If you�re ready for a ridiculous blessing, if you�re ready to go from empty to too much, and if you�re willing to obey a ridiculous instruction, no matter how ridiculous it makes you look ( Then run to the front of this building).
There is an anointing for ridiculous blessings flowing right now.
