I. Able, But Not Willing.
So many times, we could accomplish more, see more, and receive more if we were just willing to use our abilities.
For example let's look at Pharaoh. When asked by Moses, When do you want me to ask God to destroy the frogs, Pharaoh said tomorrow.
Exodus 8:9,10 - And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee and for thy servants and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only?
And he said Tomorrow. And he said Be it according to thy word that thou mayest know that there is none like unto Lord our God.
Why didn't he say "Right Now!" ?
Why, because we are all able to determine our situation, but we're just not willing. With ability, comes Responsibilty.
II. Willing, But Not Able.
If we were just willing to do all that we could in every situation, instead of making excuses, we would be a most blessed people.
Let's look at the poor widow.
Luke 21:1-4 - And he looked up, and saw he rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
And he said of a truth I say unto you that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all.
For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God. but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
So many times we are able to do more that we do. Giving in tithes and offerings, and of ourselves, but we're just not willing.
III. Willing and Able.
If you are willing to trust God in all things, He will make you Able to do all things.
Matthew 19:26 - But Jesus beheld them and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
If we would learn to do things God's way and not our, there would be no limit to what we could do!
Conclusion: Remember, God doesn't care how much you know, what you can do, or how much money you have. What He is looking for is someone who will do all that they are able, be willing at all times, and believe in a POSSIBLE God.
