The word rapture is not found in the bible but it teaches the principle of the rapture.
The bible doesn’t say the word trinity, but it teaches the principle of the trinity.
I Thessalonians 4:13-18-But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
For this we say to you by the word of the Lor4, (Paul wants those who read this to understand that this is not what he made up but what was spoken by the Lord.. .John 14:1-3) that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.
For the Lord Himself( His next return is in three stages, 1-Born in Bethlehem, 2-Receive the Church in the air, 3-At Armageddon) will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we (Paul still believed that Jesus might return in his day) who are alive and remain shall be caught up (Greek words-Snatched away or taken away suddenly) together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Corinthians 15:51-52-Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinlding of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Daniel 9:24
Two reasons for the great tribulation.
1-To completely take away and strip of all the power that Satan presently has.
2-Judgement upon all people who are rejecting Christ.
Verse 24-Each week represents seven years.
Seventy weeks would represents 490 years.
70 times 7 equals 490 years
God has given 490 years Israel to stop sinning and repent
This does not represent the entire Jewish history, this is an additional period of time to repent.
Verse 25. 7+62=69 weeks
Each week represents seven years.
69 times 7=483 years
444 BC, the Persians had taken over the Babylon’s and a king Artaxerxes had taken over the throne.
Nehemiah Chapter 2
From the time that king Artaxerxes gave the command in 444 BC for Jerusalem to be rebuilt until
Jesus rode into the city of Jerusalem on Palm Sunday 33 AD. That is 477 years.
Calculating from 444 BC to 33 AD, one arrives at 477 years rather than 483 years required.
However, this is due to our reckonings which are based upon the solar year of 365 days, instead of the Jewish calendar which based upon lunar years which has 360 days. When the calendars are adjusted, one must do so for accuracy.
A difference of about 6 years will be discovered. Allowing an additional year for the transfer from BC to AD.
The date of 33 AD) is the date at the end of 69 week, when Christ is cut off. The age in which we live is called the Church age.
There are still 7 years unftilfilled.
There has been an interruption between the 477 years and the 483 years.
That interruption was Jesus, that interruption was and is the Church.
