Deut 5:24
“And ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.”
“Y dijisteis: He aquí, Jehová nuestro Dios nos ha mostrado su gloria y su grandeza, y hemos oído su voz de en medio del fuego: hoy hemos visto que Jehová habla al hombre, y éste vive.”
When we talk about the Character of God, we cannot help but talk about the attributes of God. Who is God and how does He reflect His Character to mankind.
* Power – Rom 1:16-17
“16For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”
“16Porque no me avergüenzo del evangelio: porque es potencia de Dios para salud á todo aquel que cree; al Judío primeramente y también al Griego. 17Porque en él la justicia de Dios se descubre de fe en fe; como está escrito: Mas el justo vivirá por la fe.”
* Faithfulness - Isa 49:7b
“…Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.”
“…Verán reyes, y levantaránse príncipes, y adorarán por Jehová; porque fiel es el Santo de Israel, el cual te escogió.”
* Goodness – Psalms 100:5
"For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations."
“Porque Jehová es bueno: para siempre es su misericordia, Y su verdad por todas las generaciones.”
HOW I KNOW GOD IS GOOD by Ivan Casteel - 1 Chronicles 16:34-16:34
Man’s nature is to do wrong. When man allows his nature to control, he will go the wrong direction. He will do the wrong thing. He will engage in the wrong activity. He will think wrong. He will speak wrong. He just does wrong because that is his nature. There is nothing about man, apart from God, that demands he do right.
Goodness is an attribute of God just as is many others:
The Bible says that God is light. That is an attribute of God.
Also that He is love. That is an attribute.
He is just. He is holy – He is gracious – He is divine.
He is merciful.
He is longsuffering.
He is loving and caring.
* Holiness – Eph 4:21-24; I Pet 1:15-16
“15But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”
“15Sino como aquel que os ha llamado es santo, sed también vosotros santos en toda conversación: 16Porque escrito está: Sed santos, porque yo soy santo.”
* Immutability (unchangeable) – Mal 3:6a
“For I am the LORD, I change not…”
“Porque yo Jehová no cambio…”
Bill Irwin, a man who is blind, has a talking computer he uses to study the Bible. He¡¦s had a few chuckles over some of the pronunciations. "For a long time," Bill says, "the computer pronounced Holy Bible as ¡¦holly bibble¡¦ until I figured out how to modify it." But there was one thing Bill couldn¡¦t change. The computer uses the Spanish pronunciation for Jesus Christ--HEYsus Krist. "The programmer is Hispanic," Bill told me with a smile, "and he made sure that HEYsus Krist cannot be altered."
I like that. It reminds me that among the things in life that can be changed to suit my taste, one remains tamper-resistant--I can¡¦t change Jesus.
* Joy – John 15:11
“These things have I spoken to you that MY JOY may remain in you, and that YOUR JOY may be full!”
“Estas cosas os he hablado, para que mi gozo esté en vosotros, y vuestro gozo sea cumplido.”
* Knowledge - PSALM 139:1-6
1. God knows your heart
2. God knows your actions
3. God knows your ways
4. God knows your thoughts
5. God knows your needs
* Majesty
* Mercy
* Presence
* Wisdom
* Love – I John 4:8; John 3:16

2.PROVEN LOVE
3.PROTECTIVE LOVE
4.PURE LOVE
5.PATIENT LOVE

Isaiah 6:1-3
“1In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 2Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 3And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.”
“1EN el año que murió el rey Uzzías vi yo al Señor sentado sobre un trono alto y sublime, y sus faldas henchían el templo. 2Y encima de él estaban serafines: cada uno tenía seis alas; con dos cubrían sus rostros, y con dos cubrían sus pies, y con dos volaban. 3Y el uno al otro daba voces, diciendo: Santo, santo, santo, Jehová de los ejércitos: toda la tierra está llena de su gloria.”
