A New Thing
Isaiah 43:13-20
13 Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?
14 Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships.
15 I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.
16 Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;
17 Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.
18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.
21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
I have entitled this today: “A New Thing”
According to Ecclesiastes 3:9, there is nothing new under the sun does not mean that God cannot do something new in my life.
The first part of verse 13 says, before the day was I am he; this refers to the truth that God was just as powerful before He delivered Judah from Sennacherib as he was at the time of their deliverance.
How many know that God does not change? He says I will work and who can stop it.
In verse 14 the Prophecy is given concerning the coming destruction of Babylon.
It would happen approximately 170 years in the future.
The ships in verse 14 speak of the Chaldeans which was a special ruling group of Babylonians who would attempt to escape.
Instead of the ships becoming their savior, they would be tombs.
The words “for your sake” speak of Israel’s restoration which would end up taking place.
Isaiah 43:15
15 I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.
In this passage, we are told that the “Lord” is the only one who can make such predictions as outlined in the previous verse and with out a doubt make it come to pass.
He tells them He is their King; sadly some 750 years later they would say we have no King but Caeser.
Isaiah 43:16
16 Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;
This has a reference of God’s deliverance to Israel out of Egypt by the way of the sea.
These mighty waters would be pushed back with a path made for Israels’ safe crossing.
Verse 17 is saying that the Chaldeans were to perish as completely as the Egyptians did in the Red Sea.
Isaiah 43:18
18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
The Holy Spirit is saying that the old deliverance will be nothing compared to the new.
Israel must cast its eyes forwards and not backwards.
Church, we need to PUSH forward, pray until something happens in the situations that we are going through.
Don’t look back to where you used to be, don’t focus on the old man and old lifestyle.
Isaiah 43:19
19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Ec 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done:
God is able to do something new in our lives as believers, what He has done in the past the Word says He will do again.

Dream 7-10-09
I dreamed that I was talking to a man. You could say I spoke a Word for the Lord over him. I said, “I will do a new thing for you, thus saith the Lord.”
Interpretation
That word is for someone here today. The Lord wants you to know that He will do a new thing for you.
I believe in sure Words of Prophecy, a thus saith the Lord is about as good as it gets.
2Pe 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Israel was going to see something new, but yet it had happened before.
Deuteronomy 4:9-10
9 Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;
10 Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.
We have a job to do as believers in the Word. We need to teach and tell people what thus saith the Lord God.
We have to train the generation coming up to know that God is still on the Throne, that He is not dead, but very much alive and if they will call out to Him He will show them He is there.
They need a Word that cannot fail, they need a Word that will encourage them to seek God and live.
God has given us a map to the past and a path unto right now.
God is the same as He has always been!
Ps 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Isaiah 43:19-20

20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.
These people were chosen for the time that they were in. We are chosen by God for the generation that we are in.
1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Now look at Isaiah 43: 21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
God wants all generations to show forth praise!
You are chosen for the generation that you are in.
You are a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people;
We are to show forth praises who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light!
In the dream, I was talking to a man. I said to him, “I will do a new thing for you thus sait the Lord.”
Maybe you need something new done in your life. Understand something new for you could have happened in the past in God’s Word.
God wants to do something new for us as a church, something maybe none of us have ever seen before.
1Pe 1:13 Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. NAS
Are your minds prepared for action?
Do you believe that God can do what His Word says He can do?
Stand upon the Word of God and be not conformed to former lust that was yours in ignorance.
Stand upon the Word and understand when you are thirsty and dry, He will give you a drink of His water.
The children of Israel had to PUSH forward and not go backwards.
We need to PUSH and perservere in the things that we go through.
It is time that we believe that God wants us to have Victory over the situations that we go through.
I will Pray Until Something Happens!
I will not give up because I know that God will take care of me because I am His property.
The Lord wants to do something new for you!
Do you accept this today?
Do you believe that what He has done before He is doing again!
Daniel was thrown into the lions’ den; do you feel that is where you are at?
Da 6:22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.
God will send His Angel and He will shut the lion’s mouth for you!
Ps 56:9 When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
When we cry unto God, then shall my enemies turn back!
Are we crying unto God and do we believe that they are turning back?
This I know!
Php 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Daniel, a man of prayer, knew that God would deliver him.
Ps 56:9 When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
This I know, God is for me, and I will not lose!
