Going to Church
Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
4:32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
4:33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all

“Going to Church” has different meanings for many people. To some it is just a gathering place and to others it’s a place to have fun. And yes some go to meet people. But truly we can go to Church our whole life and never know God. I mean a personal relationship with our Lord. Many years ago Karen Wheaton recorded a song which is titled “Close to the Cross and far from the Blood”. The song tells how we can go to Church and never know Jesus and miss the true meaning of “Going to Church”
The surgeon general tells us that smoking will kill you and we know that second hand smoke kills even quicker. Think about it. We go to Church to have a good time. We see others blessed and yes we are happy for them while we are deader than four o’clock in the morning. That’s what I call second hand shout. It will kill you. You need your own shout –Your own personal experience-Your own walk with Jesus. If we want revival in our Church and in our lives we need to quit going through the motions and let God be real in us. Let me ask you . What does Going to Church mean to you?
