I AM WHAT GOD’S WORD SAYS I AM!
We are faced with many battles in our walk of faith in life. We can face many doubts in life. The devil will put doubts in our minds and will use people to do the same. What can we do? To overcome and have victory in our Christian walk we need to digest the Word and promises of God. When you see someone walking by faith and walking in the spirit you can be sure they are walking in the Word. In this outline we lay out some of the wonderful things God says we are. Praise the Lord!
1. I AM - A child of God!
Romans 8:12-16 (KJV) 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
2. I AM - Forgiven!
(Colossians 1:13-14 (KJV) 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
A. Saved by Grace through Faith
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
a. God does not forget the sinner; he forgets the sin.
b. God forgives our sins, buries them in the sea of forgetfulness, and puts up a sign: "No fishing."
B. Justified.

c. The doctrine of justification is the foundation that supports all of the other benefits we receive from Christ. Erwin W. Lutzer
C. Sanctified
1 Corinthians 6:11 (KJV) And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
a. After sanctification, it is difficult to state what your aim in life is because God has taken you up into his purposes. Oswald Chambers
b. Sanctification is not something our Lord does in me; sanctification is himself in me.
Sanctification means . . . a life of discipline such as nine out of every ten of us will have nothing to do with. The test of sanctification is not our talk about holiness and singing pious hymns; but what are we like where no one sees us . . . with those who know us best? Oswald Chambers (1874-1917)
D. A new Creature.
(2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

a. An understanding of redemption is not necessary to salvation any more than an understanding of life is necessary before we can be born into it. Oswald Chambers

B. Casting all my cares on Jesus.
1 Peter 5:7 (KJV) Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8. I AM - Observing and doing the Lord’s commandments.
Deuteronomy 28:12-13 (KJV) 12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. 13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

G. Blessed of the Lord at all times and am continually praising Him with my mouth.

The cross of Jesus Christ and his baptism express the same thing. Our Lord was not a martyr; he was not merely a good man; he was God Incarnate. He came down to the lowest reach of creation in order to bring back the whole human race to God, and in order to do this he must take upon him, as representative man, the whole massed sin of the race. Oswald Chambers
