Feeling The Presence of The King
Hebrews 9:23-28
23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us
25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
Heb 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
I have entitled this today: Feeling The Presence of The King
The first thing that we need to understand is that God always has a purpose and a plan in mind.
We, as flesh and blood, do not always understand what God has in mind.
Everything that has been created, has been created for His purpose.
Eph 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
When it says, “in Whom” it is talking about Christ, that we have obtained an inheritance.
The best Greek text has “we were designated as a heritage” thus we the saints are God’s heritage, His possession through the work of Christ on the cross.
This Scripture also says: being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
This, according to the Jimmy Swaggart expositor Bible says “This pertains to the inheritance being predestined, not the individual who would obtain the inheritance.
When Ephesians 1:11 says: of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
What this is saying that this is perfect.
Now let’s go back to our opening Scripture.
Hebrews 9:23 says:

Everything that pertained to the tabernacle and all of its sacred vessels was a copy of that which was in Heaven, since the vessels and the tabernacle were touched by men; they had to be purified by Blood. (Animal Blood)
Look at Hebrews 9:22:
Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
There had to be Blood for sin to be purged. Christ had to go to the Cross and shed His Blood for the remission of our sins.
Without the Blood, there is no remission of sins.
Heb 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
Everything that pertained to the tabernacle and all of it’s sacred vessels was a copy of that which was in Heaven, once again since the vessels and the tabernacle were touched by men; they had to be purified by Blood. (Animal Blood)
Hebrews 8:5-6
5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
This is referring to a suggestive replica, which in fact, had no substance with in itself; this is also saying that this was a poor replica of the reality which is Christ.
The Tabernacle on Earth was merely a replica of something far better in Heaven.
Hebrews 8:6 says, But now (since the Cross), then it says has He, which is talking about the Lord Jesus, But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry,
This proclaims the fact that Christ officiates between God and man according to the arrangements of the new Covenant.
Hebrews 9:24-25
24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
Everything that was done was done for us. Christ did all of what He did so we could be in the Presence of God.
No longer do we need to sacrifice animals for the blood for the atonement of sin.
Jesus shed His Blood at Calvary for our remission of sin.
He did this once and He will never do it again.
What we need, as Christians, is to be in the Presence of God. In order to get there you have to be in the Presence of the King. (Jesus)
The reason why I preached this today:
Dream 12-8-08
I dreamed that we were at the church, in the sanctuary. The Holy Spirit was falling. He fell on me. I started to dance and then I hopped. I looked at a woman that I used to go to church with and she said, “I haven’t felt the Presence of God this way since I was a kid”.
Interpretation
We have people, in this world, who are longing for what they used to have in the Lord.
They want to feel the Presence of God the way that they used to.
The last time I checked God has not changed, what He did He is still willing to do.
We have to have people who have experienced the Presence of God to tell the next generation.
We need to pass on knowledge of know how.
We are still standing in the Presence of the King. We just have to be willing to yield our whole life all the way to the things of God.
Some might ask, “Where’s the shout? Why aren’t you shouting?
Where’s the dance? Why aren’t you dancing? Where’s the hop? Why aren’t you hopping?”
People who long for the blessings of yesterday and the infilling of the Spirit of God need to get into the Presence of Jesus and let God do the work that He wants to do.
Hebrews 9:27-28
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation
Due to the fall, all men are under the sentence of death, and in fact, all have died Spiritually, which means separated from God.
The answer to the Spiritual death of man is Christ and what He did at the Cross.
If Christ, the Savior, is rejected all will face Christ the judge.
As death is unavoidable, the judgment is also unavoidable.
Verse 28 says, So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; The Cross was Gods answer to sin and in fact the only answer.
And unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation
This is referring to the second coming. Without sin, refers to the fact that the second coming will not Atone for sin this was carried out at the Cross at His first Advent.
The second coming will bring all the results of Salvation to this world, which refers to what He did at the Cross.
We now only have the First fruits.
Ro 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Do you yearn for what you used to have?
Do you yearn to be in the Presence of the King?
Don’t you think that it is about time to make your move?
James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh unto you.

I dreamed that Jesus was standing in my midst. I remember His brown beard and His brown sandy hair as the wind blew through it. There was a song in the background that I don’t remember. He was quoting Scripture. I woke up.
Jesus really is standing in our midst, if we just open let God open up are Spiritual eyes we will see Him.
His Presence is right here right now. He sees where you are at in life and He knows how to help you in the situation that you are going through.
Lord, open the eyes of our heart that we will see you.
If His Presence is with us, then we need to realize what the Word says can and will happen.
John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Do we believe in Jesus this morning?
A believer is obedient to what Jesus says to do.
A believer takes Him at His Word and applies that Word to their situations.
“He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”
Do you believe that The Presence of the Lord Is in This Place?
