Unusual blessing for a believer. Ex. 17:8-16
1. The battle with the enemy Ex. 17:8-10
Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek.
Battle is needed for your growth
Goliath was made for David
Amalikites were made for Joshua – it made who Joshua is
Every fight makes you who you are.
2. The blessing of Prayer Ex. 11:12
Moses held up his hand and Israel prevailed
Prayer works
Prayer is needed
Prayer is not the last thing it must me the first
Prayer is a privilege – our Lord listen to our prayer
3. The presence of Believers by your side for encouragement. Ex. 17:12
Standing beside and giving the encouragement during your battle.
Aaron and Hur stood by Moses when he was weary and tried.
Daniel had his friends
Peter had a James and John
Paul had a Silas
4.The Book of Memorial Ex. 17:15-16
Write it in the book of memory and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua (make sure Joshua hear it)
You need to hear it for the next battle
Your generation needs to hear that there was a battle and God gave you victory
It reminds you that “yes we can”
5. The Banner of Victory Ex. 17:15-16
Exodus 17:15-16 (AMP)
15 And Moses built an altar and called the name of it, The Lord is my Banner;
16 And he said, Because [theirs] is a hand against the throne of the Lord, the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.
It is the banner of the Lord
It is the banner of Victory
It reminds His presence
He is the Lord of Battle
This is not your battle you are following some one who is the Champion.
