I Will Go The Distance
Subtitle: The Rocks Are Crying out
John 15:18-25
18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.
22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
I have entitled this today: I Will Go The Distance: Subtitle: The Rocks Are Crying Out.
This morning, if you are a believer in Christ, then you are part of His vine.
If you are a believer in Christ, this morning, then you are a branch that is on His vine.
If we are on His tree, then we ought to be bearing good fruit.
If we bear good fruit, then the world will see what we are offering is good to eat.
Ps 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!
When we have tasted and have seen that the Lord is good, and we know that we have refuge in Him, the enemy is not happy.
Anything that Satan can do, he will do, to hinder our walks with the Lord.
We need to remember when Satan comes against us that we are not His property but we are the property of Jesus Christ.
When we are purchased by His Blood and living for Him and not letting self take over, we will win the battles that we go through.
Now let’s go to our opening Scripture:
John 15:18
18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
The world really does not like you when you are a bond servant to Jesus.
The world hated Jesus and if we keep on talking about the change that Jesus has made in our lives, then this world will hate you also.
The world will hate us because Satan hates us, if they are not serving God then they are a servant to Satan.
John 15:19
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
If you are of the world, this morning, then you are looking for a way other than Christ and His Cross, the world loves you.
This world loves it’s own, but because you are not of this world, you refuse to accept their worldly view as your answer to the problems that you face in life.
Verse 19 says, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
1Pe 2:9 But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

Look at John 15:12-17
12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.
If you’re a believer, this morning, then you are a part of His vine, and we should have fruit.
“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you”.
Do you get it? God has chosen you and He has ordained you that you should go and bring forth fruit!
Jesus said in verse 14: Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Are we a friend of Jesus this morning and are we doing whatever He tells us to do?
John 15:20
20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
We are not greater than our Lord; if they persecuted Him, then they will also persecute us.
No matter what happens in this life we have to keep His sayings.

Dream 10-31-08
I was awakened out of a dream at 4AM. I dreamed that Susan, myself and a small child were arrested. We were arrested because we were talking about Jesus. The man who arrested us told us that we were in big trouble. They took us to a public setting. I saw Annie sitting at a table. I was able to tell her what we had done. She told me to talk to a lady there; she was also sitting at the table. I told the lady why we were arrested. I said that we were arrested for talking about Jesus. I told her that Jesus loved me and that He died for my sins and if need be then I would die for Him. They then told me that I would not like what was going to happen next. I knew they might kill Susan and the child and that they might make me watch. I knew that no matter what, I would serve Jesus. I was thinking they were going to behead us. I was thinking what if I die and that is it, I don’t live again, but I knew that it was Satan trying to scare me. I knew if they beheaded me then I would see Jesus. I was not afraid, Jesus was my strength.

An organization has been granted a Federal Hearing on the

Their petition, Number 2493, would ultimately pave the way to stop the reading of the gospel of our Lord and Savior, on the airwaves of
America .
They have 287,000 signatures to back their stand!
If this attempt is successful, all Sunday worship services being broadcast on the radio or by television will be stopped. This group is also campaigning to remove all Christmas programs and Christmas carols from public schools! You, as a Christian, can help!
One woman took prayer out of school. Now this? What next?
Could it really come to a place where Christianity is banned, where we are not allowed to speak the name of Jesus?
If it does, will you be willing to go the distance?
It is already a hate crime in California for calling Homosexuality a sin and if they do, they will go to jail.
We won’t be able to call a cult, a cult, and that is scary.
Will we be willing to go the distance no matter what we face in this life?
I am not saying that it will come to this, but one thing I know is that it could, if we are not willing to fight back.
If it comes to a place where you are not permitted to call homosexuality a sin, what would you do?
If every thing happens that could happen, it will come to that.
Luke 21:28-32
28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
Israel became a nation in 1948; Jerusalem became the Capital in 1967.
The generation that saw this take place the Word says:
Israel is the fig tree, study it out yourselves.
This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
Church, it is time to understand that, yes, we are a royal priesthood who needs to declare what the Word says to do.

A teenage volunteer found the curved pottery shard, 6 inches by 6 inches in July near the stairs and stone washtub of an excavated home.
