1-21-07 Sermon: and this is your Condemnation Jn 3: 16 - 20 (V19*)
YOUR SINS: MURDER, RAPE, ADULTRY, FORNICATION, STEALING,
INCEST, WITCHCRAFT, HUMAN SACRIFICES, WILL NOT CONDEMN YOU TO HELL ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD.
Whoremongers, adulterers, liars, thieves, fornicators etc cannot go to heaven, according to the Word
- however, this is not what will condemn you
- It’s not our sins that are stopping us, or condemning us.
- our love of darkness is , is killing us, (is our condemnation)
These are excerpts from a book I started writing 2 yrs ago

FORWARD:
Most of us trust the Bible for answers,
- and some (even Atheist) would dare read it
- if they could prove the "Bible thumping" preacher in the pulpit wrong.
Every time one goes to church,
- mostly, all they hear from the thunderbolt preacher, is"
- Hell, Fire, and Brimstone.
- Members and visitors alike, sit on the pew
wishing this man would preach on something different
- every once in a while
- like love, success, prosperity, divine healing, being a good father, etc.
- My book is intended to draw every age group, every doctrine, every belief, every prisoner, every household, the homeless, the pimp, the prostitute, every readers attention to it.
- Atheist are welcome to pick it up and sift through it’s pages.
- The theologians can pick it apart,
- conservatives can be appalled by its opening statements,
- liberals can be prepared to shout
- because they read it as a chance to prove the ligitimacy of their open-mindedness
- and are prepared to shout with a voice of triumph,
- that is until they read a little further
- to the religious steeped in non-biblical traditions
- and or are still bound with teachings from under the law,
- I mourn for you.
The title of this book is ever so right. You could sit down and watch all of the pornography you want, you could go sign up for HBO movies, or even order the Playboy magazine. You could even have sex with your own relation, your children or even your own mother. These are ugly nasty sins, but they ar not what will condemn you. You could even have a one night stand with your neighbors wife, and then have to stand and before God, he will never say to you "this is why you are condemned, because you committed one of the above".
Based on this one fact: sin will be judged
- God hates sin
- God cannot look upon sin
- but sin is not what will condemn us not according to our text.
- choosing darkness over light will be our condemnation
- sin is a bi-product, is a fruit of our darkness
We bear responsibility to reach: The lost "GOOD GUY"
- we need to tell them that they will not go to Hell because of their many sins
- they will go to Hell because of the sin of silence
- the sin of omission (neglecting to choose light)
- confession is made with the mouth
- verbally (in true repentance brokenness)
- they will go to hell only because they remained silent
- one does not have to commit a whole lot of sin to go to hell
- just make one bad choice will do that for you
- choosing darkness over light
- at least they aren’t aware that they had in fact made a choice (when they remained silent)
- when you choose darkness (even though you have not verbalized or said a thing)
- you automatically have refused the light (so you did in fact make a choice)
- when you say no to the light of Christ (you shove yourself into satan’s lap
- notice here: I choose not to capitalize satan’s name (back to message)
- you automatically join the ranks of those who love darkness
Bottom line: a good guy who has never made a choice (or so you thought)
- is just as lost as Saddam Hussane (he was convicted, he killed tens of thousands)
- that charge was his condemnation
- you are condemned because you chose darkness
Again: Sin is a bi-product of darkness
- produced by darkness! What did you do, while in darkness? You sinned!
In God is no darkness at all.
John 3: 19 Is their condemnation statement "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. V20 For everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved."
Mr. "Good guy" fly’s by the seat of his paints, and trusts his "HEART" to guide him.
- Proverbs 23:7 says " as a man thinketh, in his heart, so is he"
- " 28:14 teaches "a man can harden his heart"
- Song of Sol 32:6 teaches "a heart will work iniquity"
- Matt 5:28 Jesus taught "we can commit adultery with our heart"
- Jer 9:14 teaches us "after the imagination of their own heart"
- v26 goes on to say "the deceit of their own heart"
- this means also one can be deceived by their own heart.
- Eph 4:18 talks about "the blindness ’ of mans heart
Rightly divided The heart can be "the most deceitful of all things"
- it can be lifted up and have wicked imaginations
- it always flees, (RESISTS) being "set", towards God
- it wants to do it’s own thing
A bank robber who has robbed every bank from California to Maine, if he were to die tonight and have to
stand before God would never hear God say "you are condemned to Hell because you robbed all of those banks."
You could get pregnant once a year for the next 25 years and have an abortion with each, then die and stand before God and never have to hear him say "because you had all of those abortions is why I am condemning you to Hell."
Remember: abortions are very wrong, and this world will be judged for sin. Sin’s like abortion, they are by-products of darkness.
By the way, God still forgives (even those who have had abortions).
- Jn 3:16
The attending Physician could suck thousands of brains out for decades
- and toss them into a trash receptacle,
- and never have to stand before God and hear Him say "I am condemning you to Hell because you sucked all of those babies brains out while they were being born."
- his condemnation will be “you chose darkness instead of light. Thus you produced darkness deeds.
- America’s love of darkness produces these demonic proportion abortions.
Condemned prisoners: will never have to stand before God and hear him say "because you murdered that gas station attendant, I am condemning you to Hell."
- It may be on ever court record,
- and every policeman from the East Coast to the West Coast have access to it,
- but God will never bring it up as the reason why you would be condemned to Hell."
- A man just found guilty must be told by his accusers and the judicial system
why he/she is being sent to prision.
- For example, a suitable sentance would be "Because you killed John Doe".
- on the night of August 5, 2004 with a 22 caliber pistol in first degree murder,
- you are hereby condemned to prison for the rest of your natural life."
Should a Pimp have to stand before God who has lined up and sold prostitutes from Chicago Northside
to Detroit Michigan? Those cold hard facts will not show up in his/her condimnation statement.
- The mafia gang members of Chicago will never be told "because your hired "hatchet" or "hit men",
- and helplessly murdered literally hundreds of people,
- is why you, today, are being condemned to Hell."
Hopefully, I haven’t worn out the reader with examples,
- but I felt the urgency to totally and completely make a point.
- All of the above, simply is not going to happen.
- There is such a thing as condemnation,
- What does God’s Word say one is being condemned for?.
- If one has to spend eternity in Hell
- there must be a condemnation statement.
If God sends you somewhere, His Word will tell you why. If He were to send one to Hell,
- He would say, and this is what condemned you.
- Please allow me to clear the air.
- If one goes to hell, it is not because of God is sending you there,
- your own choice decides your destiny.
- I concur with the Biblical phrase:
- "Let God’s Word be true and every man a liar."
- I love all people, people of all races and color of skin.
- Will we all one day have to stand before God
- and give an accont?
- My answer is, absolutely.
- Is there such a place as a literal hell,
- my answer is, absolutely.
- But there is a worse place than that.
- Hell, will one day come to an end
- In the book of Revelation’s it says when man has to stand before God
- "that Death and Hell shall give up their dead to be judged",
- "and all men small and great shall have to stand before God
- In The Great White Throne Judgement.
- Those that are condemned shall be turned aside into the Lake of Fire
- " which is never quinced and the worm never dies."
- "Its a real place for real people. Prepared for "the devil and his angels Matt 25: 14
- Man sends himself there if he goes, when he rejects God,
- How easy is it to reject God?
- ANSWER: Just keep your mouth shut
- man doesn’t realize that when he pushes God away (rejects God)
- he sets himself onto the very lap of the devil.
- THE SIN OF SILENCE
- The force of his rejection propels he or she into that lap.
- That choice is what caused him to loose out with God.
- That same choice causes the condemnation.
- Then God tells him (or her) why they are condemned.
- The reason you are condemned
- Because you loved darkness
- because you made darkness your choice
- Hell is not that man’s final destination,
- The Lake of Fire is that person’s final home (eternally)
- if he choses darkness instead of light.
- That choice is what condems you.
- All sin will be judged and the entire earth will be purged with fire. Want to read it for your self?
Because of mans choice of darkness instead of light, he wants to fervantly have The Ten Commandments pulled off of every wall. Because they are a constant reminder to him, of his choice of choosing darkness.
He loves to work in his darkness and never be reminded of his wrong doings. He loves the darkness to hide his multitude of sins.
What we need to do in America is to keep the Ten Commandments in, and throw out our many sins.
The ten Commandment’s have been fulfilled in Christs one statement, "Love the Lord thy God with all of your heart soul mind and strength, and your neighbor as yourself. If you do this one thing, you will never break a former Commandment.
Tonight I also want to minster to the person
- who stays home, doesn’t run the pub (bar scenes)
- who dosn’t run at night
- who has never slept with his best friends spouse
- who doesn’t mistreat his neighbor
- who would give a person in need the shirt off of their back
- who has only said no to Christ
- who is only guilty of the sin of silence
- The good guy goes to the same hell as the murderer
- both with the same CONDEMNATION
HELL IS NEVER MENTIONED AS DIFFERENT ROOMS WITH DIFFERENT HEAT LEVELS
HELL IS NEVER DESCRIBED AS A PLACE WHERE A PERSON
- GETS STABBED WITH A PITCH FORK MORE THAN ANOTHER
The Word says: The Love of money is the root of all evil
- that root has to have a garden to grow in
- Darkness is that garden
THAT SAME GARDEN OF DARKNESS PRODUCES ALL SIN
Sin is a bi-product of darkness
- darkness is The sin foundation of all evil
If a man goes to prison,
- he more than likely committed many sins before his arrival
- A sin could be he killed a pregnant mother
- another wrong was to run red lights in his flight (several stop signs)
- perhaps ran a few cars off the road
- he could have cursed every cop from New York to Los Angeles
- he could have injured many by-standers in his running
- he could have stollen a car, to flee in, and possibly not gotten caught
But when asked why are you in prision
- his condemnation statement: I took two lives in "premeditated murder"

Listen to mans excuses:
- I am an Athiest
- I just don’t want to be around hipocrits
- I just don’t see it that way
- church lasts too long I have things to do
- I have some things I need to clean up first
- I was baptised, when I was 10
Sir, your real problem is that you love darkness
- you prefer darkness to cover your fleshly ways
Notice: being baptised in water does not make one a Christian
- being born again does (being made new)
Illustrate a VW visiting a Cadillac garage
- declares itself to be a Cadillac
It can never happen until it visits a refinery for a melt down (a new start)
John teaches here: truth of the whole matter is
- THE REASON YU ARE CONDEMNED, IS THIS
- YOU SIMPLY LOVE DARKNESS
Man’s inherited nature from Adam
- Proverbs says "he deviseth michief continuously"
- Hosea says "Israel committed whoredoms continously"
- Gen 6:5 "And God saw that the wikedness of man was great in the earth. and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."
Bottom line: "Let God be truth, and every man a liar"
Illistrate the story of a wife who told on her minister husband
- during times of intamacy he looked at Playboy
- unrestrained darkness darkness revealed
What would my flesh be capable of with out the influence of Christ
- unrestrained by the Holy Spirit I would rather not say!
Sanctification is in two parts:
The fist part is a definate work of Grace as is salvation
- Sanctified by the truth of the Word of God 4:5
- Rom 15:16 "sanctified by the Holy Ghost"
The second part is totally under our control:
- Paul said, "I sanctify myself daily"
- set apart for the Masters use.
- "an unbelieving husband can be sanctified by the believing wife"
OK, Mr."Good guy" why aren’t you saved?
John 3 20 says "For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, least his deeds should be reproved."
Fact is: you, like others, love darkness
- if it looks greener on the other side
- take heed, could be their septic system is leaking
Testimony of my oldest Brother Roger:
- basically, its just like most of ours was
- I got the most honest reply I believe I had ever heard
- my brother still enjoyed sin under the cover of darkness
- At that time in 1985 I had been preaching for 19 yrs
- my brother had never darkened the church door to hear me
- I grew fearful that I had offended him
- so one day I called him to see if I had
His reply: Oh no Arliss don’t ever think that
- it’s just that I am just not ready
- I know what would happen if I did come
- it has happened all of my life
- conviction and then the alter again
- I AM JUST NOT READY (Praise the Lord he is saved today).
When man stands before God his condemnation statement
- could be only this
- he refused to open his mouth and to declare my name
- He chose darkness
- he is guilty of THE SIN OF SILENCE (sin of omission)
- the usual stuff no humility, no brokeness, no repentance
- Let it be eternally written:
- He loved darkness more than light
Mr. Good guy is just as lost as the tyrant Adolph Hitler
- Just as lost as Hiltler and needs Christ
