The City and the Golden Rain 1998
I don’t know what overwhelmed me more, the beauty of his creation or the magnitude of his presence that swept over me when I saw the city, the New Jerusalem. Whatever was more powerful would take me several minutes to recover from this experience that undid my emotions. I believe it was Einstein that said man only uses 10% of their brain capacity in a lifetime. Even though no man made computer could ever match Gods creation, no human mind in a lifetime could take in this heavenly sight, all the nooks and crannies of this city created for us. Only in eternity could we begin to joyfully explore and fathom the length, width, height and depth of this jewel.
This is a living city alive in His Spirit, alive with His saints and angels, full of laughter in the joy of His presence. His presence permeates the air, work is now fun, not a burden. I could work a thousand years without a break and my fellowship with Him would never skip a beat. Should we not anticipate the moment when we will be with His majesty in the city, where we will never again shed a tear, mourn a death or fear sin?
I stood in front of a beautiful forested mountain range drinking in its beauty, for he knows that I love the Mountains. I was gazing at the rocky top partly covered with snow, when I saw these clouds moving towards me. It was a blanket of them and I also noticed that they were an odd color, a color I’ve never seen before. As they came closer, the more brilliant an intriguing they became. Was the sun shining on them in a way to cause them to look this magnificent? Then it began to rain only in a way I’ve never seen and the drops like I’ve never known.
When the first drop hit me I noticed that it wasn’t a drop of water, but of light which went inside of me instead of on me. Into the depths of my soul these drops went, past the marrow and bone to my spirit. This was the spiritual rain; the latter rain that will fall on both believers and potential believers, out of it will come the greatest harvest this side of the rapture.
I was overwhelmed with each drop that hit me; my emotions overflowed out of me like a hot spring out of the ground. Instead of growing dark, the sky became brighter with light, the light that lights all man. It made my countenance glow with His presence because where ever I go, His presence goes with me and what ever I put my hand to will prosper.
With each drop I could dream a thousand dreams, see a thousand visions and there would still be room for more. There is no way to begin to comprehend His manifest blessings because in one drop contains His essence, His spiritual essence. In one drop you could put all the knowledge of Adam to the end of this age and still have room to spare. You could put all the history of man kind in one drop and there would still be room to spare, because our world is mortal, He is immortal, our world is finite, He is infinite, our world is cursed, His is forever blessed.
Because He loved us; He invaded our fallen, cursed world with a promise of hope in Christ and He sent the Golden Rain. He redeemed man and started the clock towards Armageddon, but with darkness comes light, the white horse to bring everlasting life. I think if He stood over America, He’d weep like He did over Jerusalem. We have the truth and we’ve done nothing with it. We’re too busy with our own agendas to consider His. You can live a godly life but there’s more, a course for that godly life to do His will. What is His will? What ever your gifts are you’ll find His will, as His will is usually wrapped up in them. So know your place and don’t go behind or beyond. To go beyond is to stumble around in an arena He hasn’t called you to. To go behind is not to operate in your arena of service, that’s disobedience because you’re doing less than what ever it is He called you to.
I opened my eyes to thousands of shafts of light, which contained Himself, the Golden Rain of the Spirit. When the clouds came towards me, I was standing in a meadow admiring the favorite part of His creation, the majestic mountains. Then as they came overhead and passed on, the spirit took me to another meadow in a beautiful valley.
The rain will fall and the people will be filled with the light of His Golden Rain and they will take it around the world. They will be as lamps filled with the light and shine it where ever they are sent. I believe that the very substance of this light is the same as the city, the New Jerusalem. The city is right above the clouds, which are a sign that Rev 21:1-2 is near. “Oh my people, I admonish you to do my will that your robes would be clean when I come.” That’s when the fire tests your work, so it might not be only stubble. Come under the Golden Rain of the Spirit and stay away from the acid rain of the devil.
