NIGHT (PSALM 91).
The night time is a special time in the life of an individual. When God was creating the earth the bible says He made the day and the night. In Genesis 1:5 God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
Because of the above, the night is usually associated with darkness. It is also called the time of lesser light. Genesis 1:16 says God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. (Thank God for the STARS!). Despite the darkness, somebody’s star is about to start shining anew in Jesus name! AMEN.
Night time has so many things significant about it. We will just highlight one for now;
Night time is usually a time when most men are off their guard. The average person goes to work during the day because that is when many see daylight to work. They work, get tired and go home to rest. Naturally by the time it is night they lay down and sleep. Sleep as we all know is a milder version of death to some people!
Some can sleep thru a magnitude 9 earthquake and they will quote Psalm 127:2 (New King James Version) to justify it! (2 It is vain for you to rise up early,
To sit up late,
To eat the bread of sorrows;
For so He gives His beloved sleep.)
Night time is the time that the enemy of men moves in to carry out his assignment John 10:10 (SKD).
There are many methods that he uses.
Look at Genesis 19:32-34 (New International Version). It says,
32 “Let’s get our father to drink wine and then lie with him and preserve our family line through our father." 33 That night they got their father to drink wine, and the older daughter went in and lay with him. He was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up. 34 The next day the older daughter said to the younger, "Last night I lay with my father. Let’s get him to drink wine again tonight, and you go in and lie with him so we can preserve our family line through our father."
Two young women decided to take God’s laws into their own hands, at the prompting of the devil. They ended up starting two cursed family lines, the Moabites and the Ammonites. So a blessed man (Lot), because he overslept, became a cursed man!
What are we here to do tonight? The Bible says in Matthew 13:24-26 (New King James Version) in The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares
24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.
WHILE MEN SLEPT! WHILE MEN SLEPT!
We are here to sort out the negative issues of our life that sprung up in the middle of the night.
Many people are going thru throes of afflictions that started after they had a dream, or a strange wind blew in the night, or a rat entered their rooms in the night.
Many of us a suffering from manipulations concocted by the congregations of the evil ones, usually in the night. How many times have we had stories of witchcraft meetings used to settle the destinies of people in the night?
A brother in my ministry was abandoned on the street as a baby by his mother. Someone picked him up and took him back to his mother who obviously didn’t want him. When he grew up, he managed to study and get a degree, but he was jobless. He married a wife and was still leaving in his mother’s house. They were childless for a number of years.
His wife who was more attentive noticed that at 11-1130 pm every night, some cats, goats and dogs would stroll into their compound in a straight line! This was happening every night.
They came to church and we prayed some prayers together. The sister took in and the mother-in-law was so annoyed (may God help mother-in-laws). Of course I told them it was time to leave her house. How were they to pay the rent? The husband had no job, wife, no job!
So we prayed a prayer like the ones you will pray now and then the sister had a dream, where she saw mama, in the middle of a large gathering of about 2000 people. She was their head, and what was being debated was how to deal with their audacity of getting pregnant! Needless to say she has 2 or 3 children now, at the last count.
You will pray these prayers;
• Every evil gathering of the night, where they have congregated to judge me, my children, my wife, scatter by the thunder of God in Jesus name.
• You congregation of wickedness monitoring me for destruction, receive the rod of destruction in Jesus name.
• Every evil supper convened to eat my flesh, drink my blood and that of my family be scattered by the whirlwind of God.
It is needless to say that most evil acts are perpetrated between the hours of 12 and 3 am.
A practicing Christian must be awake and attentive for at least some part of this time daily to pray themselves out of bad situations. You can be sure that if you make a habit of praying at this time, the enemy and his agents won’t mess with things that concern you.
Lamentations2:19
“Arise, cry out in the night, At the beginning of the watches; Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him For the life of your young children, who faint from hunger at the head of every street.”
Another thing we need to note about the night is that it is a time when men carry out the activity called Dreaming.
God established dreaming as a means of talking to his people.
Job 33:14-18 states, “For God does speak—now one way, now another, though man may not perceive it. 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men as they slumber in their beds, 16 he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, 17 to turn man from wrongdoing and keep him from pride, 18 to preserve his soul from the pit, his life from perishing by the sword.”
Whatever God wants to accomplish in the life of someone, once He has established it in a dream, it shall surely come to pass, “the spiritual controls the physical”
Genesis 41:32 (New King James Version) states, “32 And the dream was repeated to Pharaoh twice because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.”
Satan knows this and has found ingenious ways to manipulate for his own gains (to frustrate people and drive them to hell).
There are certain instruments of satan called dream activators, dream amputators, dream deceptors, dream undertakers, dream manipulators.
These equipment are used by the enemy to destroy many a destiny. A brother had a dream that he went with a friend to a hospital to visit a sick friend. While visiting the sick man, a mosquito flying around in the ward, bit him. 2 weeks later he was diagnosed with high blood pressure and diabetes.
You will quickly pray like this;
• Every evil load of sickness placed on my head while I was asleep, be removed by the Hand of Jesus.
• I reverse every dream that has established failure at the edge of breakthroughs in my life in Jesus name.
• Every evil dream programming me for sudden death back fire to your originator in Jesus name.
• I receive power to overcome, dream activators, dream amputators, dream deceptors, dream undertakers, dream manipulators in Jesus name.
A brother saw himself in a dream driving a car backwards continually. When he went to his mechanic in the dream, the mechanic told him it was impossible for the car to go forward, because it was manufactured with five reverse gears!
Prayer;
You the car of my destiny reject reverse gear, receive turbo gears in Jesus name.
A brother suddenly had a misfortune, where he lost 100s of thousands of dollars in Nigeria. He started climbing one prayer mountain to another seeking help. By the time he got to the fourth one, he had a dream where his wife, mother-in-law and him self were traveling on a journey. They were on a brand new motor bike. When they got to a certain place, they decided to rest under a tree.
The mother-in-law borrowed the bike to go somewhere. After 2 days she came back with an old broken down bike. He asked her, “where is my bike?” The wicked woman said, “forget that one this is the one you will be using from now.”
As he was trying to start this ragged bike, he saw his own being ridden past, by his brother-in-law. In the physical, as he was going down, his brother-in-law was becoming more successful!
Who is ready to pray?!
• You the glory of my destiny, stolen from me by my enemies in the dream, rebel and jump back into my hand with interest in Jesus name.
• You the star of my destiny, buried in an evil dream, jump out by fire in Jesus name.
This coming prayer is for those who keep seeing themselves at checkpoints or keep seeing great obstacles they cannot overcome.
2 Samuel 22:30 says “For by You I can run against a troop; By my God I can leap over a wall”,
• By the Blood of Jesus, I overcome every spiritual robber stealing my blessings in Jesus name.
• By the name of Jesus, I overtake I pursue and I recover every blessing stolen from me since birth in Jesus name.
• By the authority in the name of Jesus, I leap over every wall of hardship and distress in Jesus name.
Lastly, God uses the night to change the story of many people.
1. In Exodus 12, the children of Israel came out of hundreds of years of bondage by eating a feast in one night.
2. God can also cause those who are to promote you, not to sleep in the night so that they can bless you as in the case of Mordecai in Esther 6:1 “That night the king could not sleep; so he ordered the book of the chronicles, the record of his reign, to be brought in and read to him.”
3. In Genesis 28: 10-15, God changed the story of Jacob overnight by changing his name.
4. God can wrought a mighty deliverance in the life of a man overnight, as in the case of Daniel. Daniel 6:18-23.
5. God can send an angel to defeat ALL your enemies in one night. Like Hezekiah you must however cry out 2 Kings 19:20
[ The Word of the LORD Concerning Sennacherib ] Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, “Thus says the LORD God of Israel: ‘Because you have prayed to Me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, I have heard.’
2 Kings 19:35
[ Sennacherib’s Defeat and Death ] And it came to pass on a certain night that the angel of the LORD went out, and killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; and when people arose early in the morning, there were the corpses—all dead.
Is there anything too hard for our Lord to do? NO!
You will pray like this;
Father, it is the middle of the night right now;
• O Lord, wherever the helpers of my destiny are, send your angels to disturb them at this hour, for them to remember me in Jesus name.
• After the order of the Israelites on Passover night, I jump out of every inherited bloodline captivity, in Jesus name.
• Before this night is over, O Lord, change my story in Jesus name.
• By the Sword of the Spirit every enemy of my success, deliverance, promotion, marriage, finances, happiness, children die suddenly in Jesus name.
IT IS SETTLED.
