Ephesians 2:1-10

1(A) And you were (B) dead in the trespasses and sins
Dead: 1: deprived of life: no longer alive 2 a (1): having the appearance of death: DEATHLY< in a dead faint> (2): lacking power to move, feel, or respond: NUMB b: very tired c (1): incapable of being stirred emotionally or intellectually: UNRESPONSIVE < dead to pity> (2): grown cold
Trespass: an unlawful act committed on the person, property, or rights of another; especially: a wrongful entry on real property.
Sins: transgression of the law of God
Sin: a vitiated state of human nature in which the person is estranged from God
2(C) in which you once walked, (how) following the course of this world, following (D) the prince of the power of air, the spirit that is now at work in (E) the sons of disobedience-
Walking in the flesh
1. The world
2. The prince of the power of air
3 among whom we all once lived in (F) the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body [a] and the mind, and (G) were by nature (H) children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
4But [b] God, being (I) rich in mercy, (J) because of the great love with which he loved us,
5 even (K) when we were dead in our trespasses, (L) you made us alive together with Christ-(M) by grace you have been saved-
6 and raised us up with him and (N) seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

Condemnation-Righteousness John 16:8
• Hearing- that which comes in
• Perception- that which is there
When you hear the word and it blends with what you have that is called
• Interpretation-mix or blending of what is heard vs. what is known
Right living is a result of right believing-
When hearing and knowing collide you have belief
When the word of God comes-
When what is heard is stronger than what is known you have faith
Walking in the Spirit
God works with
1. The Word- hearing the word
2. The Will- Head to Heart
3. The ways- Heart to World
Righteousness-
Romans 8:3-4
Walking in the Flesh
Romans 6:14
Romans 12:1-2
Satan works with
1. Principles- you’re human
2. Patterns- you did it before or you’ve seen it
3. Perception- its coming- the bending of reality
3 P’s lead to the Big S
Awareness of elements of environment through physical sensation
Put all together and you have a temptation when you on principle, pattern, or perception you Sin.
Faith vs. Fear
Grace vs. Condemnation
The battle between flesh and spirit is for your Value, your worth!
People who walk in the flesh don’t understand their value!!
