Personal Ministry in our daily walk!
To continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (2Pet 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.) It is important to examine yourself, perhaps daily. 2 Cor 13:5. Examine and test and evaluate your own selves to see whether you are holding to your faith and showing the proper fruits of it. Test and prove yourselves [not Christ]. Do you not yourselves realize and know [thoroughly by an ever-increasing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you-unless you are [counterfeits] disapproved on trial and rejected? AMP. Here are 10 steps that can be helpful in our personal life and walk with the Lord.
1. Strive to please God in all things.
John 8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. Psalms 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me: 19 But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
2. Seek to be led by the Holy Spirit.
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
3. Have a constant awareness of the presence of God.
Gen 16.13 And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God see me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?
Matt. 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
4. Read the Scriptures.
Psalms 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
The Bible is alive, it speaks to me; it has feet, it runs after me; it has hands, it lays hold of me. -- Martin Luther,
5. Live in the spirit of prayer.
Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
1 Thes 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
He who is a stranger to prayer is a stranger to power.
When I pray, coincidences happen, and when I don’t, they don’t.
Seven days without prayer makes one weak.
6. Learn to deny the flesh for the Lord’s sake.
Mark 8:34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
7. Have a burden for the lost.
Jer 9:1 Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!
(Jer 8:20 KJV) The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.
8. Live each day in preparation to see the return of Jesus.
Amos 4:12 Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.
1 Thes 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
9. Learn daily the blessing of giving.
Mal 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Head usher, to the pastor: "Your stewardship sermons are improving. Still no money, but a lot more IOUs."
10. Stay filled with the Holy Spirit, be refilled daily. Then even the devil and demons will know you are the child of God tearing down his strongholds in the Name of the Lord. Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
