He MADE us to worship Him!
He MADE us to love!
We’re forgiven and free!
We embrace surrender!
We choose to believe!
We will see WHO we were meant to be!
Because…
He’s INDESCRIBABLE!
Creation’s revealing His majesty!
Every creature unique in the song that it sings!
He placed the stars in the sky and He knows them by name!
He’s an amazing God!
He sees the depths of our hearts and HE LOVES US the same!
How GREAT is our God!
Do we believe that?
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth!
1. We live - Milky Way Galaxy (SEE IMAGE) – barred spiral galaxy - 100,000 light years across (1=5.88 trillion miles) - Solar System = on the edge in the open area
Sun = golf ball, earth = 5 ft away, solar system = 1/5th mile wide, milky way = 6 million miles wide
Hundreds of billions of other galaxies!
2. Whirlpool Galaxy (SEE IMAGE) – billions of miles out in space - Center = CROSS! (SEE IMAGE)
Cosmos is huge! God is huge, massive God! Crazy! HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD!
3. Human Eye - most complex computerized mechanism know to man - 120 million rods and cones in your retina - billions of computations every second!
Cosmos = GRAND but YOU are MORE GRAND and more stunning!
Eye = Dev in womb – don’t pop ‘em in – our DNA tells our cells we need eyes – 1 million optic nerves move out of your brain & 1 million optic nerve endings from the flesh of your eye ball – move toward each other – and find each other – perfectly – find their exact partner b4 you ever see one single thing – can you imagine 1M people coming in from that door & ….. - when you are only this big (2 in)!
In Womb - 6 months – blade comes and slits it into 2 – “mysteriously” – exactly in half, month later = eye lashes & EYE BROWS APPEAR!
You were fearfully and wonderfully made!
Genesis 1:27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Psalm 139:13-16 For You formed my inward parts; You wove (knitted together) me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to (PRAISE) You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.
• Alive!
• Living, breathing miracle!
• Miraculous thing!
• Created and ordained by God!
• Formed by the living God who created the universe!
• Made by God who spoke the world into being!
• God orchestrated our inmost being, not just outmost being! All our intricacies!
• All our days = ORDAINED by God!
• Indescribable!
• HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD!
• See WHO you were meant to be!
Listen to how fearfully and wonderfully MADE you are:
1. 75 trillion cells (1 trillion = 1000 billion) Say it again!
50,000 die and are replaced q 4-5 seconds – tired? - just made 200,000 cells – have to make 50 billion new cells every day! Wonder why tired?
Only 200 billion stars in milky way galaxy - 75 trillion cells = 375 x that!
2. 25 trillion of them = RBC’s – live 3 months – bone marrow makes new.
3. WBC’s – immune sx fighters - only 25 billion - only live 12 hours – since you had dinner last night you replaced 25 billion WBC’s!
4. 75,000 miles blood vessels - arteries, veins, capillaries = around the earth 3 times!
5. - Simple Cell? Scientists decoded entire human genome – the more they study - more COMPLICATED = NOT SO SIMPLE!
- 1 cell = 50 billion atoms - hundreds of thousands of proteins & 1 protein = thousand of amino acids = protein tells cell what it is and what it does!
- 1 amino acid doesn’t work = cell shuts down = not simple! Very complex!
6. -1 cell = dad & 1 cell = mom – they meet! (APPLAUD Dad’s cell! )
- Cell = 46 chromosomes, sperm = 23 and egg = 23
- everything necessary to make YOU!
- 23 connect with 23 = Hi! Hi! Let’s match up our chromosomes!
- Form BRAND NEW DNA strand
- never existed before in history of humanity!
- That FIRST NEW CELL - info from DNA code - make all other cells!
- That’s YOU! All God’s design!
- DNA= double helix strand = “knitted together” strand!
- Every single cell has your DNA strand!
- 1 unraveled = 6 feet long! X 75 trillion = moon & back 20K x!
- Genetic Code = > 3 billion characters info. = WHO God ordained you to be!
- Unique pattern of 30,000 genes!
- God’s unique - YOU!
- Would take 96 years to read description of YOU!

God of the heavens KNITTED us together! He knows our names! He knows everything about us!
FAVORITE VERSE OF ALL…Isaiah 49:15-16 Can a woman forget her nursing child And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you. Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.
We = special! God’s MASTERPIECE! We = F & W made! So…why don’t we ACCEPT it? Why don’t we LIVE like it’s true?
Let me tell you about a man named Mephibosheth…
2 Samuel 9 Then David said, "Is there yet anyone left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?" Now there was a servant of the house of Saul whose name was Ziba, and they called him to David; and the king said to him, "Are you Ziba?" And he said, "I am your servant." The king said, "Is there not yet anyone of the house of Saul to whom I may show the kindness of God?" And Ziba said to the king, "There is still a son of Jonathan who is crippled in both feet." So the king said to him, "Where is he?" And Ziba said to the king, "Behold, he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel in Lo-debar." Then King David sent and brought him from the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo-debar. Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, came to David and fell on his face and prostrated himself. And David said, "Mephibosheth." And he said, "Here is your servant!" David said to him, "Do not fear, for I will surely show kindness to you for the sake of your father Jonathan, and will restore to you all the land of your grandfather Saul; and you shall eat at my table regularly." Again he prostrated himself and said, "What is your servant, that you should regard a dead dog like me?" Then the king called Saul’s servant Ziba and said to him, "All that belonged to Saul and to all his house I have given to your master’s grandson. "You and your sons and your servants shall cultivate the land for him, and you shall bring in the produce so that your master’s grandson may have food; nevertheless Mephibosheth your master’s grandson shall eat at my table regularly." Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants. Then Ziba said to the king, "According to all that my lord the king commands his servant so your servant will do." So Mephibosheth ate at David’s table as one of the king’s sons. Mephibosheth had a young son whose name was Mica. And all who lived in the house of Ziba were servants to Mephibosheth. So Mephibosheth lived in Jerusalem, for he ate at the king’s table regularly Now he was lame in both feet.

• given undeserved VIP treatment by a king vs. being exiled or killed as he deserved!
• relationship b/t David and Mephibosheth = b/t God and us!
• David’s care, provision, love & mercy 4 Meph = far beyond the call of duty!
• David reached out to Meph - no strings attached!
• David’s unconditional love for Meph illust. = God’s for us!
• Meph = grandson of King Saul, 1st king of Israel = started out well - then turned away from the Lord - plotted to get rid of David!
• alienation & enmity b/t David and the dynasty of Saul.
• Meph deserved NOTHING from King David!
• best Meph could hope for was exile!
• But David treated him, even crippled, as a PRINCE & member of his own household!
• Picture = of the undeserved mercy and over-whelming GRACE which God has shown us – like Meph, a fallen & broken & helpless & undeserving people! Even Mephibosheth’s name = “shameful speech from my mouth.”
• Same way David reached across all barriers, God has overcome all obstacles to reconcile us to Himself and to POUR OUT HIS GRACE, HIS FAVOR, ON US!
• Notice! David searched out Meph!
• God searches us out! Not visa versa!
• Some of you - idea of God = sim. to Meph’s toward David—someone to fear and hide from!
• But Meph = came to know and appreciate the love and kindness of the king who sought and found him.
• Same way - we need to know and experience the love and compassion of the King of Kings!
• David & Jonathan, Meph’s father & Saul’s son (Meph = Saul’s grandson) - best friends - covenant of friendship together - (1 Samuel 20) – David covenanted with Jonathan - became king - would never cut off his kindness from Jonathan’s family.
• Picture = covenant God has given us! His loyal love for us!
• Jonathan’s name = “the Lord has given”
• V. 7 - all the crown properties that once belonged to Saul and his dynasty would be returned to Meph by royal decree!
• Another picture = God’s love for us - given every blessing heaven has to offer!
• Meph’s humble attitude = prostrated himself & said, “Here is your servant” = BEFORE he knew what David going to do! He ACCEPTED the offer!
• We = unwilling to assume such a humble attitude = our pride and arrogance keeps us from experiencing the love and blessings of God! WE NEED TO ACCEPT GOD’S FREE GIFT…SALVATION & HIS FAVOR!
• Meph = moved to Jerusalem. MADE A CHOICE to stay close to King David!
• We, too, need to COME TO THE KING’S TABLE…and STAY THERE!
• Last thing! Meph = crippled in both feet = didn’t become perfect, but was SAVED AND EXPERIENCED DAVID’S FAVOR!
• We too aren’t perfect, just SAVED and experiencing GOD’S FAVOR!

He wants US to be at HIS table as his son or his daughter…as broken and helpless and undeserving as we are!
Are we enjoying the FAVOR OF GOD? Are we living this out?

Paul…1 Corinthians 15:9-10 For I am the least of the apostles, and not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the GRACE of God I am what I am, and His GRACE toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of them, yet not I, but the GRACE of God with me.
Paul…2 Corinthians 9:8 God is able to make all GRACE abound to you, so that always having ALL SUFFICIENCY IN EVERYTHING, you may have an ABUNDANCE for every good deed;
Paul quotes God…2 Corinthians 12:9 "My GRACE is sufficient for you!”
Galatians 1:15-16 God, who had set me apart even from my mother’s womb and called me through His GRACE, was pleased to reveal His Son in me
Ephesians 2:4-7 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us ALIVE together with Christ (by GRACE you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing RICHES OF HIS GRACE IN KINDNESS TOWARD US in Christ Jesus.
We sing “Amazing Grace” but do we believe it?
God is FOR US, not against us! God doesn’t TOLERATE us, He LOVES us!
God’s NOT saying, “Here’s your eternal life…now go and try not to screw it up!
God IS saying, “I want to POUR OUT MY FAVOR ON YOU! I CREATED YOU! YOU ARE FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE! I VALUE YOU! I LOVE YOU! YOU ARE MY CHILD!”

The BIG IDEA: SURRENDER to the Holy Spirit and DECIDE to live like the person God made YOU to be!

• Have to CHOOSE to sing OUR song!
SURRENDER to the Holy Spirit and DECIDE to live like the person God made YOU to be!
Believer = REBORN, REBIRTHED, REMADE, RECONCILED, RENEWED…INTO THE PERSON God ORIGINALLY MADE YOU TO BE!
When you surrender your life to Christ, He does NOT remodel you! He makes you a BRAND NEW CREATION! i.e. 2 original cells that came together to form the BRAND NEW YOU!
YOU ARE WHO GOD SAYS YOU ARE! AND HE WANTS TO POUR OUT HIS FAVOR ON YOU!

When Satan and his demons mess with your thots….TELL ‘EM WHO YOU ARE!
WRAP UP….one last DEEPER look into HOW SPECIAL YOU ARE…
Cell adhesion molecule – LAMININ - a protein molecule – thousands of proteins in every cell in your body – organized into certain structure – tells cell WHO it is and WHAT it does = re-bar of the human body = the glue that HOLDS EVERYTHING TOGETHER in our bodies – called LAMININ!

For by Him all things were CREATED, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—ALL THINGS have been CREATED THROUGH Him and FOR Him. He is before all things, and in Him ALL THINGS HOLD TOGETHER!
WE = HELD TOGETHER BY THE CROSS! On the cross…
Star Breather became the sin bearer! Universe Maker became mankind’s savior!

REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE! WHO GOD INSISTS YOU ARE! LIVE LIKE IT’S TRUE!

And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.
