Commissioning, Second Word
The study on Angel Ministry is not just a time of something to tickle our minds with like Bible trivia. It is an important study to help you live an overcoming, victorious life.
Most Christians consider Angels as Old Testament stories for children to help them sleep good at night, but the writer of Hebrews tells us that it is all important to remember and consider Angel Minister to escape the hard times of life.
Heb. 1:13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
Think about this, you have a host of Angels to see that you are receiving the best God has to offer.
2:1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard lest at any time we should let them slip
2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
3 How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
We MUST pay attention to the things (in the Word) we have heard so we can escape the hard places in life that we face because of the curse on the earth.
We have learned some things that can help us commission Angel Ministry, and want to learn how to make it a continual ministry.
We saw angels on mercy missions delivering Lot and others, but we want that ministry on purpose. Ministry such as that spoken in
Ps 103: 20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
21 Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
What is God’s pleasure?
Ps 35:27 Let them shout for joy and be glad that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
Don’t get hung up on money, prosperity is health, wholeness, peace, and every good thing that touches your life.
GOD DOES NOT GET PLEASURE IN YOUR LACK.
Angels respond to the VOICE of God’s Word.
We can all rejoice in knowing when we voice God’s promises that we commission, set free angel ministry.
We have seen the response of angels to words by Godly Men, Ungodly Kings and others.
We saw that we must tap into the unseen world to receive that ministry.
1. Prayer is a must to see the spiritual world, a heart connection to God, not vain repetitions or selfish prayers, but seeking and hungering after God.
2. Words bind or release angel ministry.
Prov.18: 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue:
I want to look at the levels of speech and action that bind or loose angel ministry.
1. Speaking the Word of God. Releases a host of angels to minister in all areas of your life. Not only speaking but being a doer of the Word.
The parable of the houses talks about this. Mt 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended and the floods came and the winds blew and beat upon that house; and it fell and great was the fall of it.
2. Silence and being a doer of the Word releases angel ministry.
Lu.1: 18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.
19 And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings
20 And, behold thou shalt be dumb and not able to speak until the day that these things shall be performed because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.
God had a plan for John to prepare the way for Jesus; Zacharias was in doubt about the ability of God and asked for a sign, HE GOT IT.
God had promised the Children of Israel a land flowing with milk and honey, but a problem come up. Jericho stood in their way.
The Capitan of the Lord’s Host gave Joshua instructions to obey.
Josh.5:13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?
14 And he said Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?
15 And the captain of the LORD’S host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so.
Angels do not receive worship, Jesus does. Jesus stands ready to minister to anyone that will do his will.
Joshua tells his people what to do.
6: 10 And Joshua had commanded the people, saying Ye shall not shout nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout then shall ye shout
This was not what Jesus told Joshua to do, but Joshua knew the children of Israel were complainers so keep silent and the victory was theirs.
3. Non -Working Words. These are worthless words that stop Angel Ministry.
Mt 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment.
Not sin, not productive, but worthless time fillers.
As Christians we are to be about the Fathers business.
1 Timothy 5:9-14 gives warning of being idle.
A idle mind is the devils work shop.
4. Murmuring binds Angel Ministry.
1 Cor. 10:10 Neither murmur ye as some of them also murmured and were destroyed of the destroyer.
11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples:
As the Children of Israel complained they Provoked the Angel that was sent to prepare the way for them.
Provoke means to make bitter. This is what happens when angels are bound from doing God’s pleasure.
5. Speaking against God’s Word stops God’s Angels and actually releases a host of evil spirits to devastate your life.
The Evil angels do Satan’s pleasure. KILL, STEAL, AND DESTROY.
I paid tithes for two weeks and I am still broke, Friend you have cursed your blessings.
I was prayed for and I did not get healed, I don’t think God heals anymore! You are setting yourself up for a life of sickness.
You say I am only calling it like it is. Ro 4:17 (As it is written I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were
We must learn to agree with God’s Word to receive this great Salvation.
Job 3:25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.
Satan moves in fear and doubt. He was kicked out of Heaven with one third of the Angelic host and is committed to destroying your life.
Jesus said that he saw Satan fall from heaven, Lu. 10:18
Paul said Satan transforms himself into an Angel of light.
2 Cor. 11:24
This deceiver watches for every opportunity to cause you to fail in your Christian walk.
He cannot read your mind or take over your will by force, but will cause everything that temps you to be thrown in front of you.
He will try to confuse you with God’s Words and will cause you to be confused about doing God’s Will.
It was the first camping experience for Jed. As soon as he had pitched his tent, he went for a hike in the woods. In about fifteen minutes he rushed back into camp, bleeding and disheveled.
"What happened?" asked a fellow camper.
"I was chased by a black snake!" cried the frightened Jed.
The camper laughed and retorted, "A black snake isn’t deadly."
"Listen," groaned Jed, "If he can make you jump off a fifty-foot cliff, he is!"
I. Lets look at the way he worked in the beginning.
Gen. 3: 1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat
God had spoken to Adam about the tree. Satan did not come to him with the temptation.
Here is what God said.
2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die
1. The devil started with a question And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Does every one get healed? Does every one speak in Tongues? Does the New Testament teach tithing?
Eve did not KNOW what God said. She heard it from Adam.
When she started a conversation with Satan she added to the word of God. Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die
2. The devil contradicted God’s Word. Ye shall not surely die
The Devil attacked God’s character.
God wants to keep you poor and humble, God may make you go bankrupt to teach you humility, God made you sick to teach you a lesson. NO, NO, NO!
By His stripes I am healed, God takes pleasure in my prosperity
YOU MUST KNOW WHAT GOD SAYS.
3. It appeals to the Flesh. that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired
It was God’s will for her to eat or it would not be so good looking.
It must be God’s will to keep me poor and humble.
Pr 10:4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich
Study, Pray , Know what Gods Word says.
II. Another Second Word.
1 King 13:1 And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the LORD unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense
2 And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men’s bones shall be burnt upon thee.
3 And he gave a sign the same day, saying This is the sign which the LORD hath spoken Behold, the altar shall be rent and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out
4 And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up so that he could not pull it in again to him.
5 The altar also was rent and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the LORD.
6 And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Intreat now the face of the LORD thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again And the man of God besought the LORD, and the king’s hand was restored him again and became as it was before.
7 And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward.
8 And the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place:
9 For so was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest
10 So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Bethel.
11 Now there dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father.
12 And their father said unto them, What way went he? For his sons had seen what way the man of God went which came from Judah.
13 And he said unto his sons, Saddle me the ass. So they saddled him the ass: and he rode thereon,
14 And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said I am.
15 Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread.
16 And he said I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place:
17 For it was said to me by the word of the LORD, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest 18 He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him. 19 So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water. 24 And when he was gone a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase.
A Second word cost the life of a prophet.
Satan will use someone that you trust and will listen to, a TV Preacher, A Prophet, A Friend, anyone that will convince you not to obey Gods Word.
You must Know the Word of God , Know He wants the best for you, He heals, blesses, Fills.
What about Gods Will not Spoken in the Bible?
Be led by the Spirit, Pray- Give God your choices about it and let God give you peace about it.
God will give you a certainty, the Devil will ask Questions.
God Convicts
Be aware when you get a Question, God gives a certainty.
