Genesis 6:1-8
1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. {every...: or, the whole imagination: the Hebrew word signifieth not only the imagination, but also the purposes and desires} {continually: Heb. every day}
6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. {both...: Heb. from man unto beast}
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
The events of this chapter probably began at about the time of Enoch, which was about 1000 years before the flood.
Verse 1 is not meant to imply that the births of baby girls were more than that of baby boys.
What this is doing is setting us up for what is about to happen.
Genesis 6:2
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
According to the Jimmy Swaggart Expositors Bible, the Sons of God refer to fallen Angels, which had thrown in their lot with Lucifer, who had led a rebellion against God.
In order to spoil the human lineage through which the promised Messiah would come, they would do this by marrying the daughters of men.
What this would do is it would produce a mongrel race, which resulted, in some cases, as giants in the land.
Sons of God here refer to unrighteous Angels, Demons.
Jude 1:6-7
6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. {first estate: or, principality}
7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. {strange: Gr. other}
In verse 3, God says that His Spirit shall not always strive with man.
Wickedness on the earth during this time was exceedingly great.
Genesis 6:5 says:
5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. {every...: or, the whole imagination: the Hebrew word signifieth not only the imagination, but also the purposes and desires} {continually: Heb. every day}
God saw that every imagination of the thoughts of the heart of man was continually on evil.
Every day God would see this and He was sorry that He had created man.
Verse 6 and 7 says:
6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. {both...: Heb. from man unto beast}
Verse 8 says, But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
God was going to destroy mankind, but the good news was that Noah had found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
In verse 14, God told Noah to make an Ark.
God knew that a rain storm was coming, and that Noah and his family needed a place of refuge.
The people, during this time, could not understand why Noah was building an ark in the middle of the desert, where there was no water.
When Noah would preach right living, and tell the people that it was going to rain, and that there was going to be a flood, the people thought that Noah was nuts, that he had lost a few screws.
It did not matter what people thought. Noah and his family just kept building and preparing the ark to the design of God.
For right around a hundred years, this took place, but Noah who found grace in the eyes of the Lord, knew that God had given him a message.
Faith without works is dead.
When we, as Christians, think about preparing our ark, when I say our ark, I mean our lives.
We prepare our arks by being obedient to the Word of God.
Noah was preparing a place of safety. Are we preparing a place of safety for our kids?
Are we teaching obedience and right living to them?
As Christians, this morning, we are preparing our own arks, our own lives.
God wants us to know that there will be storms that come in our lives, but when they come we need to stay on our boats.
When things don’t go our way, as Christians, a lot of times we decide to get off the boat that we are on.
We get discouraged and we start to doubt that God has really made it so we can get to that place of safety.
Church, stay on the boat, because if you don’t, there are sharks in the water that will cause you harm.

I dreamed that we were in a service. There were two messages in Tongues given. I gave the interpretation. I was up around the Altar with my hands up in the air. The Holy Spirit came upon me and I went out in the Spirit. I heard Heavenly music. I have not heard this music in my dreams since I first got saved about 13 years ago. The Spirit of God picked me up, and was changing my direction. He was like swirling me. A third message in tongues was given. I don’t know who interpreted them. When I came up, a young man had told me that I had hit him when I went down. I explained that sometimes when the Spirit of God comes upon me, I can’t move and sometimes I can. I explained to him that I had been drunk in the Spirit.
Interpretation
God wants us to be in service.
He wants us to worship and praise Him, lift Him up.
2 messages in tongues, God is speaking in this Church, He wants relationship.
The Holy Spirit picked me up and He changed my direction.
Heavenly music, presence of God
Does God want to change your direction?
God is trying to get us to let Him change our way of thinking.
He wants us to lay the things of this world down at the Altar.
I got up and went to write this dream down. I went back to bed, I shut my eyes, and this is what happened.

I had just shut my eyes, and the Lord showed me a ship on the water sailing along. In the water, I saw a black shark.
Interpretation
God had just showed me what I could have in Him, but He also showed me what will happen if I choose to get out of the boat.

If I get out of my boat, my relationship with God I will be attacked by a killer shark and the possibility is I could get killed.
To him that much is given, then much is required.
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord; have you found grace in the eyes of the Lord?
Is the ark of your life protected by the Blood of Jesus Christ this morning?
Can I ask you a personal question this morning? Are you thinking about getting out of the boat?
If you chose to get out, then I want you to know that there will be no promise of tomorrow.
If you choose to get out, there is a killer shark that is waiting for you; he wants to pounce all over you, and he wants to kill you this morning.
Noah, a man of righteousness, who really was able to hear from the Lord, started to warn the people to get on the boat.
The problem was no one would listen to Him, they were going out and doing all the fun things this world has to offer.
Sin, for a while, is fun, but after a while you see the results of it. (death)
Romans 6:23
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
God wants you to know this morning that you live in one of the greatest times that this world has ever seen; we live in the time of the latter rain.
We see where Prophecy is unfolding right before our eyes, Church, the Rapture of the Church is at hand. It really could be any day now.
Stay in the boat and don’t give up!
Stay in the boat and let God direct your sails. Stay focused on the Power of God and His righteousness.
Church, when Peter spoke in Acts, Chapter 2 and said that this is that which was spoken by the Prophet Joel, that is where we are. This is that!
God showed me what I can have, but I have to let Him have control of my live.
I have to let Him change my direction.
Noah preached right living and to get on the ark of safety. We need to preach right living and get on the ark of safety.
Noah preached that there was a flood coming and no one believed him.
The Bible says that when Christ comes back, it will be as it was in the days of Noah.
The world does not really believe that Jesus is coming back again.
Church, lift up your eyes. I am telling you that your redemption is drawing nigh.
This morning it is time to get on the ark that has been prepared for you.
Closing
Are you thinking about getting off the boat this morning?
If you are, then this is a warning to you.
If you get off, God wants you to know that there is a shark in the water that you will be in and this shark, (this sin) might even kill you.
This is a hard message, but it is the truth.
I was telling every one at work that no matter what, I am going to stay on the ship because there is a killer shark in the water just waiting to attack.
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
