Components of Nehemiah’s Prayer

A. Acknowledgement of God’s Greatness (1:5)

B. Intercession (1:6)

C. Repentance (1:6-7)

--National Repentance. The people of God had offended God through their sin. What are some ways the Church has offended God?

--Personal Repentance "I and my father’s house have sinned." (v.6)

D. Praying in agreement with the Will of God (1:8-10)

--recalling God’s history with His people

--through prayer, praying that God will restore His people (which is His will)

2 Peter 3:9-- “The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.”

4. Nehemiah made himself Available to be Used of God (2:1-8)
