God Is Still on the Throne
Psalm 93:1-2
1. The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty; The Lord is clothed, He has girded
Himself with strength. Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be moved.
2. Your Throne is established from of old; you are from everlasting.
The great price at Calvary has been paid, and the Holy Spirit can now abide in the hearts of believing born again men.
We have discussed what it really means to be a believer; a believer is obedient to what Jesus says to do.
We need to understand this morning that the Lord reigns!
Not only did He reign in the days of Adam and Eve, but He also reigned in the time of Noah.
Not only did He reign in the days of the Prophets and Apostles, He also reigns in the day that we live in.
God is still on the Throne!
He is clothed with Majesty and strength.
When we think Majesty, we might be in awe, at least I am.
When we think strength, we think powerful, God is Omnipotent, all powerful.
Psalm 93:2 says Your Throne is established of old: you are from everlasting.
When we think God’s Throne, we ought to think everlasting.
Gods Throne is established of old.
Gods Throne was established of old by such people such as:
Isaiah in Isaiah 6:1-6
1. In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
Ezekiel in Ezekiel 1:26-28
26 And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.
27 And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.
28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
Daniel in Daniel 7:9-10
9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
John in Revelation 4:2-3
2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
From generation to generation, God’s Throne is still God’s Throne.
What this is saying is God cannot be moved.
There is no power in this world or this universe that can move God.
Psalm 93:3-4
3 The floods have lifted up, O Lord, The floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift
up their waves.
4. The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, than the mighty waves of
the sea.
The floods: Baal, false god was supposed to be victorious over the waters.
This section of this Psalm is a continuing refutation, (repeat offense).
The Lord is mightier than the sound of water.
Psalm 93:5 says: your testimonies are very sure; holiness becomes your house, O Lord, forever.
Revelation 1:15 says: And His feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned like a furnace; And His voice as the sound of many waters.
When I think about His testimonies He gives us, I think about when I was a teen.
During this time I had a very rebellious attitude, I kept telling everybody that I didn’t care, God gave me this dream:
I dreamed that I heard the Lord speak to me. He said in a voice that sounded like many waters, “You care”. And then it was like I was in a very dark place, and I heard a humming noise. I woke up.
I stopped saying that I didn’t care.
Even as a teen, God was showing me that He was still on the Throne.
According to Hebrews 13:8, God never changes, He is still the same, yesterday, today, and tomorrow, for all generations.
God is still on the Throne today, He speaks to us today if only we will listen.
Back in 1996, my sister and brother-in-law, came over to where we lived. My sister asked me when I was going to get busy; I knew that she meant to preach.
I ignored her.
I told my wife when they left, if God wants me to preach, He would have to tell me literally or tell me in a dream.
Dream- call to preach

Around eleven years ago, God called me to preach. My sister and brother-in-law were at our apartment. My sister asked me when I was going to get busy. I changed the subject. I knew that she meant preaching the Gospel. When they left that night, I told my wife if God wanted me to preach, then He would have to literally tell me, or give me a dream telling me that He wanted me to preach. I felt that I had done too many bad things in my life for God to use me in this way. That night, I went to bed and God gave me a dream. It was a very real dream.
I dreamed that I was at a great big church. We were sitting in the middle section. All of a sudden, I put my arms in the air, praising the Lord, and a light illuminated my body. I started to say, "I’m going to be a preacher! I’m going to be a preacher!" I said this over and over. I put my hands down, and asked my wife what I saying. Was it that I was going to be a preacher of that church? She said, "No, you said that you were going to be a preacher." I was focusing on the preacher of that church, I was wondering what he thought about what was going on. We were leaving the church; we walked to the church entrance/exit, and the greeter said to me, "Congratulations brother". His hand was outstretched. He shook my hand. I woke up!
God did not stop with just a dream, God gave me this vision:
The Throne of God

I was in bed. I saw myself get up. There was a noise going through the room. I can’t really explain it in words, but it kind of sounded like a whooshing noise. The next thing I knew, I went to my desk to read my Bible and pray. I said to myself that I felt the presence of God. As I said that, it was like two angels took me by the shoulders and took me up to Heaven. It took about 10-15 seconds to get there.
Once again, I said I felt like I was in the presence of God. I was on my knees. I opened my eyes and looked up. I saw two white feet. I saw a throne. The more I looked up, the more I saw. I saw His legs. When I got to the waist area, it looked like a rainbow. I remember getting to His face, but there was a light blocking it. I saw a crown on His head. I remember saying,” I am literally in the presence of God."
I don’t know if it was a dream or a vision, but it was so real. I personally believe it was a vision from God. When I was a child, I remember asking God to see His throne. I would go to our hall closet and pray. God sees the desires of our heart. If it is in His will, He will give us those desires. If it brings glory to the Father, we can receive.
God is still on the Throne today, He is still speaking today if you will listen.
God didn’t there, we have a church.
We have had signs and wonders, we have had miracles.
We have had dreams and visions.
I am literally in the presence of God, and so are you.
You might not have experienced what I experienced, but then again you might have.
We have to understand the fact that God never stopped being on the Throne.
He spoke to Adam and Eve; He spoke to Enoch as Enoch walked with God.
If we are willing to walk, God will be willing to talk.
Don’t you think it’s time to let God be in control of our whole life, God wants to establish His testimony in you.
He wants to take you higher than you have ever gone before.
God wants to be your Rock; He wants to be what you stand on in your day of trouble.
Jesus will give you strength today.
