THE LORD IS BRINGING US INTO A NEW SEASON OF BLESSING

************************************************************************************

1. SEASON OF ABUNDANCE

The Lord is bringing us into a new season of abundance .We may have experienced many difficult and fearful and dangerous experiences in the wilderness to teach us obedience and faith . We may have gone through a season of lack and mere survival. We may have lived in the wilderness experience of having just enough and barely getting through. But the Lord is bringing us out of the wilderness into a season of abundance and overflow where we will have more than enough to meet our needs and have plenty left over to share with others in need.

3 JOHN 2

Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

JOHN 10:10

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

PHILIPPIANS 4:19

And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

PSALM 34:9-10

Fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing.

The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.

PSALM 23:1-6

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,

he restores my soul.He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

DEUTERONOMY 8:1-20

Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land that the LORD promised on oath to your forefathers.

Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, to humble you and to test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.

He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.

Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years.

Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the LORD your God disciplines you.

Observe the commands of the LORD your God, walking in his ways and revering him.

For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good landa land with streams and pools of water, with springs flowing in the valleys and hills;

a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey;

a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills.

When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the LORD your God for the good land he has given you.

Be careful that you do not forget the LORD your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day.

Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down,

and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied,

then your heart will become proud and you will forget the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

He led you through the vast and dreadful desert, that thirsty and waterless land, with its venomous snakes and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock.

He gave you manna to eat in the desert, something your fathers had never known, to humble and to test you so that in the end it might go well with you.

You may say to yourself, "My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me."

But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.

If you ever forget the LORD your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed.

Like the nations the LORD destroyed before you, so you will be destroyed for not obeying the LORD your God.

JOEL 2:21-27

Be not afraid, O land; be glad and rejoice. Surely the LORD has done great things.

Be not afraid, O wild animals, for the open pastures are becoming green. The trees are bearing their fruit; the fig tree and the vine yield their riches.

Be glad, O people of Zion, rejoice in the LORD your God, for he has given you the autumn rains in righteousness. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before.

The threshing floors will be filled with grain; the vats will overflow with new wine and oil.

"I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm my great army that I sent among you.

You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the LORD your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed.

Then you will know that I am in Israel, that I am the LORD your God, and that there is no other; never again will my people be shamed.

PSALM 66:10-12

For you, O God, tested us; you refined us like silver.

You brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs.

You let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance.

JOB 42:10-12

After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had before.

All his brothers and sisters and everyone who had known him before came and ate with him in his house. They comforted and consoled him over all the trouble the LORD had brought upon him, and each one gave him a piece of silver and a gold ring.

The LORD blessed the latter part of Jobs life more than the first. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys.

2.SEASON OF JOY

The Lord is bringing us into a new season of joy. We may have gone through a season of sorrow and pain in the past. But the Lord is bringing us out of the season of sorrow into a season of joy and happiness. He will turn our captivity and fill our mouths with laughter . He will turn our mourning into dancing. He will turn our sorrows into joy. He will grant our petitions and remove the sorrow from our hearts.

Relent, O LORD! How long will it be? Have compassion on your servants.

Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.

Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen trouble.

ISAIAH 61:3,7

and provide for those who grieve in Zion to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.

Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs.

Eli answered, "Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of him."

She said, "May your servant find favor in your eyes." Then she went her way and ate something, and her face was no longer downcast.

3.SEASON OF PEACE

5.SEASON OF HARVEST

The Lord is bringing us into a new season of harvest . We may have sown our seeds faithfully and are yet waiting patiently for the harvest. We may have become weary of well doing as we have not yet received the harvest. The Lord is bringing us into a season of harvest for all the seeds we have sown . Our prayers and giving and witnessing are seeds which will bring us a great harvest of blessing in our lives. The Lord will pour out a blessing on us that we will not have room enough to receive it. The Lord will grant us a great harvest of souls for the seeds of the gospel that we have sown in the hearts of people. The Lord will also cause the evil doers and the wicked to reap the harvest for all their evil deeds . God cannot be mocked and the evil man will have to reap what he has sown.

PSALM 126:5-6

Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy.

He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him.

GALATIANS 6:7-9

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

2 CORINTHIANS 9:6-12

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.

Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

As it is written: "He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever."

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.

You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of Gods people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.

I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit," says the LORD Almighty.

"Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land," says the LORD Almighty.

MATTHEW 13:3-8

Then he told them many things in parables, saying: "A farmer went out to sow his seed.

As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up.

Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow.

But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.

Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants.

Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a cropa hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.

ISAIAH 3:10-11

Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds.

Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them! They will be paid back for what their hands have done.

6.SEASON OF POWER

The Lord is bringing us into a new season of power. We may have experienced a season of enduring the attacks of satan and evil doers .The devil and the wicked may have shown their power to harm us . But the Lord is bringing us into a season of experiencing the mighty power of God to destroy the works of the devil. The Lord will empower us with His Holy Spirit and use us to bring deliverance to the captives. He will work with us and confirm the word with signs following.

He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.

And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;

they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."

After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.

Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

ACTS 1:8

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

ACTS 2:17-18

" In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.

Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.

7.SEASON OF INTIMACY

The Lord is bringing us into a new season of intimacy . We may have drifted away from the Lord and have become lukewarm in our relationship with the Lord. But the Lord is bringing us into a season of intimacy with Him. As we repent of our sins and failures and backslidings and turn to the Lord , He will draw closer to us and write His laws in our hearts and enable us to walk in His ways. The Lord draws close to those who are humble and contrite before Him. Pride will prevent us from getting close to God. As we live close to God , we will experience great blessings in our lives. When we seek Him with all our heart , He will reveal Himself to us . He will fulfill His purpose in our lives. He will guide us in the way that is best for us. He will answer our prayers. He will make our lives fruitful and make us a blessing to others. He will use for His glory. We must come close to the Lord . We must love Him with all our heart and love others as we love ourselves. We must not lose our first love. The Lord is knocking on the door of our hearts . We must hear His voice and open the door of our hearts and let Him bring us into a relationship of close intimacy with Him.

You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary.

Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love.

Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.
