Jn 3v16.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son thst whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
Before the plan of salvation became operational, death was the strongest power on earth! You couldnt survive against this greatest power! Dying was very painful, it meant perishing and offered no hope of eternity. Death was the super power! Thats why Job asked " If a man die will he live again?" This was a desperate question to God from a desperate man. Death caused man to suffer and be desperate. What with Paul saying " For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God! Death came with one man, Adam the first!
But when God commended his love to mankind, Love became the super power! It became too strong for even death! Love conquered death on the cross with Adam II. Paul says "For yet when we were without strength, Christ died for the ungodly" When we were like sheep waiting for the slaughter, supwer power love reddeemed us! He laid down his life for your sins. Oh what manner of love is that?
After the day at calvary, I stopped talking or asking like Job but I can say " I have a feeling I wil live again" The love of God delivered murders, thieves, molestors, drunkards,witches etc. Thats the kind of love God has!!
Paul summerises the power of love, he says " Death where is your sting? where is your power grave? For during the three days of what you call easter something was happening! Acts 2:26-27, this greatest power LOVE descended into hell, (col2:15) made a public show of the devil in hell, and collected the keys of death! So I can safely sing: Because he lives! I can face tomorrow, all fear is gone, because I know , yes I know He holds my future, and life is worth a living just because he lives!!! Oh When LOVE is stronger than death!! Paul says for me to live is for Christ and to die is gain fr I will recieve my crown!! Because love is stronger than death!
