UNTOUCHABLE
DANIEL 3:26-27
Nebuchadnezzer then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!” So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire and the satraps, prefects, governors and royal advisers crowded around them. They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched and there was no smell of fire on them.
The above story reminds me of an occurrence which happened one time in an evangelizing mission I attended. The missioners were many and therefore had to be boarded in an institution nearby where the students had left for their holiday. During the mission, I saw God moving in a special way and I would like to cite one event that was quite interesting.
It was on a Saturday evening after the open air meetings we usually had and we all gathered for a revival service in a hall within the institution we resided in. That evening the Holy Spirit visited the congregation and the hall could not contain the crowd anymore. Many left the hall and could be seen all over the field praying on the ground. Then out of the open sky rain clouds gathered and within a short time torrents of rainfall poured down. One dear brother who was praying on the open field remembered that he had washed his clothes and left them on the line to dry for the next day’s service. At first he felt like suspending the prayers and rushing to the rescue of his clothes- as he testified later- that obliged to the voice and decided to continue in prayer as the rain poured on and on.
When the rainfall subsided, and he was through with prayer, he then remembered the clothes and decided to go and check over yet deep within, he never expected to find any miracle. But to his surprise and that of everyone, he realized that his clothes were very dry without a drop of water on them! He couldn’t believe it. He checked those other clothes next to his on the line and found them dripping with water!
The same God who performed the miracle to Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego is still alive today performing many miracles to believers who do not just take risks but practice daring faith. The Bible says that even their robes did not smell fire and in Daniel 6:1-24, Daniel was thrown into a den of lions for prayers’ sake. The lions did not touch nor harm Daniel yet they were hungry since those who were thrown in after Daniel were crushed even before reaching the floor of the den.
You have a guardian angel taking great care of your life. He makes sure that no harm comes your way. The Lord makes sure that as a saint and as a believer you and your belongings become an untouchable of the Lord and whoever points at you shall never get over it with ease.
It is very important for believers who are fond of speaking evil about their ministers to know that they are only cursing themselves up. Whenever you speak evil against lay leaders, you are pointing your finger at God. It doesn’t matter how evil they may seem, but as long as they are serving in their respective positions, DO NOT dare touch them. David had an opportunity of killing Saul but he dared not touch the anointed one of God even though Saul was out seeking to kill David (1 Samuel 24:1-7). Again, we find Aaron and Miriam standing against Moses. The Lord punished Miriam for speaking against this powerful servant (Numbers 12:1-12). There are many other instances where people like Elisha, Jeremiah, and other prophets could not be juggled with so easily without one facing bears!
Its better for you to keep your mouth shut than having the Lord shutting up your mouth. Dear, do not juggle up issues you know nothing about., some of these men you see on the pulpit are ‘electric’ and very untouchable. Unless you are ready to receive the shock of your life- please, leave them alone!
