In a previous message we treated Dealing With and Separating from Evil Human Foundations. In the message we noted that certain individuals were building on foundations that had already been destroyed through the sins of their ancestors. The next issue is after separation how do we restore or repair a damaged human foundation?
Or simply put, can a foundation be repaired?
The answer to this is found in the book of Isaiah:
Isaiah 58: 12
And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
The foregoing clearly indicates that though foundations can be pulled down or destroyed they can equally be raised up and restored.
This applies to the foundation of humans beings likewise.
The bible reveals in this passage that the foundations of many generations can be restored and that the Lord can use an individual or nation (you in this case,) to repair what has been destroyed.
Brethren do not be deceived, there is a pathway to greatness and this pathway can be destroyed; but the good news is that in can also be restored. The Lord will restore your path way to greatness today in Jesus name.
The lord will repair your breech.
Please before you proceed take the following prayer point:
Oh Lord, restore my path way to greatness and glory in the name of Jesus.
Oh Lord, restore my pathway to promotion and success in the name of Jesus.
Furthermore, in Isaiah 44: 26 the bible states:
Isaiah 44:26 That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up her decayed places.
This passage indicates that the pronouncement of restoration of the servant of God upon the city of God shall be fulfilled.
Prophecy: I stand as the servant of God and declare that you shall be inhabited with blessings and goodness. I declare that your foundation shall be re- built and your decayed blessings shall be restored in the name of Jesus.
After a man has been separated from his evil foundation, below, we examine what must take place in the person’s life for his damaged foundation to be restored.
1) Divine Visitation
This is revealed in Isaiah 32:15.
Isaiah 32:15 Until the spirit shall be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness shall be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be counted for a forest.
The preceding scripture reveals that a destroyed foundation will not be restored until the spirit is poured upon it from on high.
Here the bible refers to the Holy Spirit.
In other words the bible reveals that one must experience heavenly or divine visitation.
Now, after experiencing this divine visitation according to this scripture the following things shall happen:
1) A wilderness/ desert shall become a fruitful field
2) A fruitful field, shall be counted as a forest
The first sentence means where nothing good was produced before shall now produce much fruit.
The next sentence reveals that where there is much fruit the fruit shall be turned into a forest.
Now picture a forest in your mind. Next imagine it as a forest full of fruits. Which means wherever you turn to in the forest what you shall encounter are fruits:
Fruits of goodness.
Fruits of blessings.
Fruits of success and glory.
There shall be no empty ground to step upon. Everywhere shall be populated with fruits!
Please take this prayer point:
Oh Lord, please turn my wilderness into a fruitful field and my fruitful field into a forest in the name of Jesus.
From what we have read so far, for a man to experience restoration after he has been separated from his evil foundation, he must experience divine visitation.
2) Change in Identity
The next thing a man must experience from a biblical viewpoint for his foundation to be restored is his identity must change.
This is illustrated in the book of Isaiah
Isaiah 62:2-4
And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.
3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.
This passage states the Lord shall call you a new name.
Hephzi-bah means my delight is in her.
Beulah means married.
The Lord shall delight himself in you and your land shall be married to his goodness.
So after the lord has separated you from your evil foundation
1) You shall experience a divine visitation
2) You shall receive a new name-a new identity-from the Lord
Let us look at a few biblical examples and how they experienced both divine visitation and changes in identity before the LORD turned their lives around.
Abraham
1) Divine Visitation
God caused Abraham to sleep and spoke to him in a dream. In Genesis 15 verses 12-13 we read:
Genesis 15:12-13
(12) And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, a horror of great darkness fell upon him.
(13) And he said unto Abram, know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
2) Name /identity change
In Gen 17:5 God changed Abram to Abraham
In the Hebrew language Abram means ‘High father.’
Also in Hebrew Abraham means ‘multitude’, ‘populous’, or ‘father of many Nations.’
Abraham was originally from an idolatrous background; probably he was named Abram ‘High Father’ by his parents because they wanted him to be a High Priest.
But God changed this to Abraham which means ‘father of many nations.’
Jacob
1) Divine Visitation
Jacob experienced his divine visitation from an angel.
Gen 32:24 And Jacob was left alone; and their wrestled a man with him, until the breaking of the day.
It is made clear that the person referred to above, who wrestled with Jacob was an angel. In Genesis 32: 27- 28 we read more about this encounter and the change of Jacob’s identity.
Genesis 32:27 And he said to him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God, and with men, and hast prevailed.
Jacob means "heel catcher" or "supplanter."
In Hebrew Israel means "He will rule as God" or a "Prince with God."
Thus, the Lord changed Jacob’s identity from ‘heel catcher’ or ‘supplanter’ to ‘one who ’rules as God’ or ‘a prince with God.’
Please take the following prayer points:
Oh Lord, let me experience your divine visitation in the name of Jesus
Oh Lord, give me a new identity in the name of Jesus.
Other examples include Sarai whose name was changed to Sarah.
Sarai means “dominative.” Sarah means “Princess”
We have the case of Saul who experienced divine visitation when the Lord appeared to him in Damascus (Acts 9: 4, 5) and whose name was changed from Saul to Paul the Apostle.
Divine visitation does not necessarily mean that one must see a vision or and an angel. However, it entails that one will have a profound divine experience. An experience one can refer to in future as a time he encountered a touch from the Lord.
When the Lord told his disciples to tarry in Jerusalem for the anointing of the Holy Ghost, it was this divine visitation that he wanted them to encounter:
Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
Also, a change in identity does not necessarily mean the person’s name must change.
David’s initial identity was that of a shepherd boy and messenger, but God changed it first, to a courageous warrior, and then to that of a king.
Joseph’s identity was that of a day dreamer, but God changed it first to that of a dream interpreter, and then to that of a great ruler.
After the Lord has separated you from your foundation; after you have experienced His divine visitation (in most cases through the baptism of the Holy Ghost) and then He will change your identity. (All things will become new).
It is after you have gone through these stages that you shall experience his divine promotion.
Hannah, the mother of Samuel, Mary, the mother of Jesus and Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist were all initially identified as barren women in the bible.
Eventually however, they all received a word through divine visitation and God changed their identities.
He also changed their lives!
Initially, they were identified and sneered at as barren. Afterwards they were recognized as fruitful.
Hannah bore five more children after she sowed Samuel as a seed to the Lord:
(1Sa 2:21) And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD.
Also, Samuel left a lasting legacy for his mother, combining the office of priest, prophet and judge of Israel at the same time.
He was one of the few Israelite leaders aside from Moses, to do so.
At this point one may ask what did the children of Peninnah who mocked Hannah amount to in life.
The bible does not even mention their names, let alone refer to them any more.
In other words God made Hannah fruitful both quantity and quality wise!
The same may be said of Mary, who after giving birth to our Lord Jesus Christ had many more children. And none of her children were non-achievers!
God is still in the business of visiting His children and changing their identities.
He changed Abram from ‘High father’ to a ‘father of many Nations.’
He changed Jacob from supplanter to ‘A prince with God.’
He will visit you also and change your identity.
He will remove any evil tag in your life.
Are you presently going through difficult times? Are you being referred to as unproductive or barren physically or spiritually? I prophecy that you will experience the divine visitation from the Lord of host that will change your life around forever.
Are you presently identified as wretched and poor? He will make you wealthy and famous.
Are you identified with embarrassment, sorrow and shame? He will turn you into a fountain of joy and gladness.
He will give you a new name.
He will change your identity!
Please in conclusion, take the following prayer points:
Oh Lord, change my identity for good in the name of Jesus.
Every power that wants me to remain the same, die by fire in the name of Jesus.
I shall not live by the evil identity of my forefathers in the name of Jesus.
Oh Lord, rectify my destiny by fire.
Oh Lord let me experience your divine visitation.
The Lord will turn my situation around in the name of Jesus.
Amen
Postscript: Repent and believe, remember hell is real, heaven is real. No matter how long we spend here on earth it cannot be compared to the time we shall spend in eternity. Hebrews 12:14 states: Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
