One day a 6-year girl was sitting in the classroom. The teacher was going to explain evolution to the children.

The teacher asked a little boy:

Teacher: Tommy do you see the tree out side?

Tommy: Yes.

Teacher: Tommy, do you see the grass out side?

Tommy: Yes

Teacher: Go out side and look up and see if you can the sky.

Tommy: OK. (He returned a few minutes later) Yes, I saw the

sky.

Teacher: Did you see god?

Tommy: No.

Teacher: That’s my point. We can’t see God because he isn’t there.

A little girl spoke up and wanted to ask the boy some questions. Teacher agreed and she asked the boy:

Little girl: Tommy, do you see the tree outside?

Tommy: Yes.

Little girl: Tommy do you see the grass outside?

Tommy: Yessssss. (getting tired of the questions by this time)

Little girl: Did you see the sky?

Tommy: Yessssss.

Little girl: Tommy, do you see the teacher?

Tommy: Yes.

Little girl: Do you see her brain?

Tommy: No.

Little girl: Does that mean she doesn’t have one?

For we walk by faith, not by sight -- 2 Corinthians 5:7

Introduction:

Our God is finite in many ways. Here are just a few of them: Time, Grace, Love, and Power. Before I go any farther I would like to give the meaning of infinite. Webster says it means -- unlimited in time or space; without ends, limits, or bounds.

I.Our God is infinite in time. In Genesis 1:1 it says: In the beginning God, this tells us that He has always been. Revelations says that He is the Omega, this tells us that He will always be. Isn’t it wonderful to know that we are serving a God who is and will always be there when we need Him.

II. Our God is infinite in grace. This grace is for whosoever will receive it. In the Bible we can find numerous accounts of God’s infinite grace. Such as when the Israelites would turn their back against Him and go their own wicked way. His grace was shown at the time of the Flood, when He gave all the wicked people their last chance to give their hearts and lives back to Him. These are just two of the many accounts.

The Enemy of the world, Satan, was on the side of life’s road with a very large cage. The man coming towards him noticed that it was crammed full of people of every kind, young, old, from every race and nation. "Where did you get these people?" the man asked. "Oh, from all over the world," Satan replied. "I lure them with drinking, drugs, lust, lies, anger, hate, love of money, and all manner of things. I pretend I’m their friend, out to give them a good time, then when I’ve hooked them, into the cage they go. "And what are you going to do with them now?" asked the man.

Satan grinned. "I’m going to prod them, provoke them, get them to hate and destroy each other; I’ll stir up racial hatred, defiance of law and order; I’ll make people bored, lonely, dissatisfied, confused and restless. It’s easy. People will always listen to what I offer them and (what’s better) blame God for the outcome!" "And then what?" the man asked." Those who do not destroy themselves, I will destroy. None will escape me."

The man stepped forward. "Can I buy these people from you?" he asked.

Satan snarled, "Yes, but it will cost you your life."

So Jesus Christ, the Son of God, paid for your release, your freedom from Satan’s trap, with His own life, on the cross at Calvary. The door is open, and anyone, whom Satan has deceived and caged, can be set free.

Have you been set free, and has the infinite grace of God been applied to your heart and life? If not, today, would be the best time to let God’s infinite grace be applied to your heart and life.

III. Our God is infinite in love. John 3:16 & 17 says. " 16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." Ephesians 3:17-19 says. " 17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God."

The breath of love shows us God’s boundless love, the length of love shows us God’s fathomless love, and the height of love shows us God’s measureless love. Do you know the love of Christ and have you been filled with all the fulness of God’s love?

IV.Our God is infinite in power. He has the power to save the vilest sinner that has ever lived in this world. So, remember you have not gone to far that God’s infinite power can’t reach you. All you have to do is be sorry enough to confess your sins. This is recorded in I John 1:9 " 9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

A little boy was walking downtown one day and he came to a pet store. He really wanted a little puppy dog. He began saving every penny because he wanted to get a little puppy dog. He knew exactly how much money he needed. Everyday he would pass that pet shop on his way home from school.

Finally the day came when he had saved up enough money and he brought it to the storekeeper and actually broke the bank on the counter in front of the storekeeper.

The storekeeper said "this is the day you’ve been waiting for. You can now have the puppy you’ve been dreaming about." So the storekeeper took the little boy to the backside of the window that pulled apart. The storekeeper said "You can have any of these puppies you would like." The little boy began to pick up one of the puppies in the box and the store owner said "Oh no, no, you

don’t want that puppy dog. That puppy dog is crippled. That puppy will never be able to do all the tricks you’ve been dreaming of teaching him. You don’t want that puppy dog, he’s crippled."

The little boy withdrew his hands from the puppy and stood and looked at the storeowner. "Yes, I want that puppy dog." Then he leaned down and pulled up his pant leg that revealed a brace on his own leg. He said "You don’t understand. I want that puppy dog, you see I’m crippled too. And I just thought that since we’re both crippled, we could be even better friends."

God tells us that His power shows up in weakness. That is a tough concept to grasp. Only as we realize that we are all crippled, can God use us.

Conclusion:

Sinner, I would like to give you the opportunity to let God’s infinite power, grace, and love work in your heart and life. Would you let Him have a chance today? Child of God are you completely filled with God’s infinite love. If not, there would no better time than now.
